I believe when God created the heavens and the earth he also created "Time" and from our point of view that started with darkness. (And the evening and the morning were the first day.)
However, there is more to it when considering what they represent spiritually.

I haven't gave much thought or study on this but I believe "spiritually or otherwise" one cannot exist without the other.
Genesis 1:2-4 it reads, "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
Here I don't believe darkness and light "being created" is not in these verses but their existence is present. (God spoke and "brought in the Light." and darkness as well already existed. "Again, this is from our point of view and the beginning of time.
However Spiritually, Psalms 139:10-12 may give us a glimpse of what it's like from God's point of view and spiritually.

There are many more scriptures that prove God has knowledge of PRE-born children. He had a perfect will for their lives. I'm not going to judge. Gods Will can still happen if the child is adopted after birth.

That's a very interesting question! "What came first? Light or darkness?"
I believe when God created the heavens and the earth he also created "Time" and from our point of view that started with darkness. (And the evening and the morning were the first day.)
However, there is more to it when considering what they represent spiritually.

Here I don't believe darkness and light "being created" is not in these verses but their existence is present. (God spoke and "brought in the Light." and darkness as well already existed. "Again, this is from our point of view and the beginning of time.
However Spiritually, Psalms 139:10-12 may give us a glimpse of what it's like from God's point of view and spiritually.
"Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

There are many more scriptures that prove God has knowledge of PRE-born children. He had a perfect will for their lives. I'm not going to judge. Gods Will can still happen if the child is adopted after birth.
There is evidence of Child Sacrifice in the Bible. Using the SEARCH ENGINE on this website: type in Molech or Moloch. Ancient Demon gods, that promoted the sacrificing of newborn babies. Why? For good weather, good crops, or higher payment in sales. It was presided over by "priests."
The bone jars have been discovered and examined by scientists and archaeologists. Carbon dated. Many churches had bone jar gardens still in existence.

Then we have to endure the stories of gay couples who have to adopt because their wombs were damaged by multiple abortions,
I have to pray for God to keep me together. I'm banned for life because I commented on YouTube: "Abortion is NOT birth control."
This is the whole of the matter. It's personal. It's a national sin and it's a disgrace.

Wisdom [is] too high for a fool
It is out of his reach, he cannot attain it; natural wisdom, or the knowledge of many things in nature; at least it seems so to himself, and therefore will not take any pains, or make use of any means, to obtain it; as the knowledge of human laws; of medicine, of philosophy, of languages, or of any of the liberal arts and sciences; or he has not really a capacity for it. This is more especially true of spiritual wisdom, or of the knowledge of divine things in a spiritual way; or of the things Of the Spirit of God, which a natural man cannot know, because they are spiritually discerned; it is God only makes men to know this kind of wisdom in the hidden part, ( 1 Corinthians 2:14 ) ( Psalms 51:6 ) ; for as a "fool" here denotes a wicked man, let his natural parts be what they will; so wisdom spiritual knowledge, and experience of divine things, which is too high for an unregenerate man to reach;
see a like phrase in ( Psalms 139:6 ) he openeth not his mouth in the gate;
he is not qualified far it; and if he has any knowledge of himself, he will not venture to speak in a public assembly, in the house of parliament, in a court of judicature, or in the company of men of knowledge and sense; and indeed it is his highest wisdom to keep silence, and not betray his ignorance: and so with regard to spiritual things; a man that wisdom is too high for, and he has no share of it, shall not or ought not to open his mouth where Wisdom cries; even in the gates of the cities, or in the public assemblies of the saints, ( Proverbs 1:21 )
If you are saved, form the habit of daily devotions--praying and reading the Bible, including studying the Gospel of John which teaches Jesus's deity, and what the Apostles Peter and Paul wrote about growing strong in our walk with Christ Hebrews 5:11-6:12, 1 Cor. 3:1-4, 10-15, Eph 4:11-16, 1 Pet. 2:1-3, 2 Pet.1:3-10. When you sin, ask forgiveness and repent from ever doing it again. Jesus's blood is sufficient to cover all your sins. 1John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Ask Him to search your heart, know your thoughts to see if there be any wickedness in you, and show you the way to walk. Psalms 139:23, 24 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Confess, repent, and your sins will be blotted out.
If you are not born again, that is, not saved, here is the way to salvation:
