People's Bible Notes for 1 Thessalonians 5:5

1Th 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day. They are of the light, of the day, because they have come to Christ for light, and are taught of him. Hence on this subject they are fully informed. We are not of the night, nor of darkness. Those are "of the night", who turn away from the light and refuse to accept it.

We cannot always be in our prayer time : I believe what God is saying here is that we are to always be in a prayerfull attitude at all times. No matter where or what we are doing to always be aware of the presence of God in our lives.
  • Robert Cundiff
I just love this 1 Thess. 5:9 Salvation!
  • Ronnie Bray for verse 17
To pray without ceasing is to have a prayerful heart that is continually focused on Heavenly Father in everything we do. Thus our actions will always have a sacramental element that aids us to avoid the snares of the evil one and to remain closely connected with Almighty God and with his only begotten son Jesus Christ. Those with prayerful hearts will please God and not become ensnared in evil.
  • So that we can stay intouch to our creator so we can be guided by Him in our daily routines, as the bibles tells us to pray so we dont fall into tempations.
