Marie Ange's testimony "From Death Unto Life" on 7/11/2017, 8:17am...
I was brought up in a very rigid French Catholic family in the 40's. From the age of six, I knew I was destined to go to Hell. No one ever told me how to escape it. At the age of sixteen, I became a Nun. There also, no one could tell me for sure how to escape it. The mountain of rules and regulations was even making it worse. Five years later, I left both the Convent and the Catholic Church.
For the next 25 years, I tried my best to not think about Hell. I still believed in God but I wanted to have nothing to do with Him. In 1988, after I faced three very serious health problems, two of which could lead to death, I starting thinking again about where I was heading if I died.
One day, I saw in a second-hand book store a small book called Redemption, costing a dime. I picked it up, looked inside and put it back. All night, I tossed and turned, thinking about that book. Early the next morning, I went back, got the book and read it. For the very first time of my life, I heard about God's Plan of Salvation. I was pricked to the heart. I knelt down, prayed aloud to God and begged Him to save me. Hallelujay!
He did. It was on a Tuesday, March 29, 1988. From that moment on, my life changed dramatically. The Holy Spirit kept showing me what He wanted me to do and how. He eventually led me to a solid Bible-believing, Bible-preaching Church and from then on, I have been following Jesus, my Saviour, Lord and Master.
One reason I had never heard the message of Salvation before is that I live in Canada. Solid Bible-believing-preaching churches here are few and far between. I had to move 1000 miles from where I was living to find one. But I am happy there and forever I praise God for leading me to this litttle bookstore and this little book called Redemption. Redemption it sure was for me. AMEN!
