Jesus called him the son of perdition. What do you think.

Reading the Commentary on verses is often very helpful.

Judas committed suicide, where do you think he went.

    Bob Hilt,

    I read it.

    I get it.

    My question still stands.
  • Bob Hilt - In Reply on Zechariah 5 - 3 years ago
read this over till you get it.

Judges Chapter 16 28 And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.

29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left.

30 And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with [all his] might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that [were] therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than [they] which he slew in his life.

    Bob Hilt,

Not sure if it is a fact that Sampson committed suicide.

Sampson was captured, chained, and had his eyes plucked out.

Could it not be said that he died in battle?
  • Bob Hilt - In Reply on Zechariah 5 - 3 years ago
Samson committed suicide and yet he is in the hall of faith in the book of Hebrew chapter 11

This is not something I would want to suggest to anyone, just stating a fact.

Hebrews Chapter 11 30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.

31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.

32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and [of] Barak, and [of] SAMSON Samson, and [of] Jephthae; [of] David also, and Samuel, and [of] the prophets:

33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

Reuben, the matter of one contemplating suicide is a very serious yet sensitive issue. I don't think that anyone who is found in that awful state of mind would be considering it lightly. And to add, no one could ever stand in judgement of that person as that alone is God's domain.

I had a friend that went that route as his suffering as a Multiple Sclerosis patient for ten years became far too much to bear. He saw only his pain, no remedy forthcoming & therefore no hope for living. He died rejecting God & His Gospel, preferring to end his pain & disappear into the earth, as he believed. He died rejecting & cursing God so his final state seemed quite evident, but for those who have God's Love in their hearts, yet are found in this very sad situation, everything must be done to help & comfort that one from taking a path that compromises his position before the Lord. Our governments also provide a Help Line & counsel as well, so that such a tragedy doesn't occur.

The bottom line is that suicide is self-murder - it is one's personal decision to end life, a determination & prerogative only reserved to the Lord God Who gives life & has the right to take it. I don't believe that suicide can ever be approved by God but as said earlier, we are not in God's position to judge or condemn. If you know of someone in that position, please take speedy action to direct him/her for counsel & help, whether a Church Pastor, doctor or a government agency.

Revelation 1:20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The SEVEN STARS are the ANGELS angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches. Seems to me that each church has an angel for protection

In Revelations it talks about the seven churches and seven stars. What does this mean?
  • Mishael on WHO ARE THE DEMONS - In Reply on Zechariah 5 - 3 years ago
The "sons of God" that were on earth (called inhabitants in post-Eden scripture) were the Evil Angels that were ejected from Heaven, with Lucifer, by God.

At that time they had bodies. Those bodies died in the FLOOD; and everything else. Without BODIES they became DEMONS. They had to live through animals or sinful humans. Satan is their lord.

We still have demonic activity happening in our modern 2020 world. They look for sinful or unsaved humans.

    No.

But there is clearly for male angels .

In Genesis 6 the sons of God are angels ,and they were able to impregnate women.

    Mark 12:25

And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but ARE AS the angels which are in heaven.

    There's no dating in heaven.
  • Chris - In Reply on Zechariah 5 - 3 years ago
    Neil, a short answer: No.

A long answer: Angels are always seen in the 'male' context, though we understand that they are in fact gender-less. Some would argue this point because of Gen 6:1-5. They are, like all of us, God's creation. They, along with the other Heavenly host, are spirit beings outfitted for life in Heaven, but humans are spirit beings given a body of flesh outfitted for earthly existence & given a gender for procreation, leadership & companionship.

When Jesus, the Incarnate Son of God, was on Earth, He was as we are, yet a part of the God-head & without sin. When He ascended into Heaven, He sat at the right hand of the Father, in a body prepared for heavenly life. And this is how believers will be in the ascension: our bodies will be like His now, "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we SHALL BE LIKE HIM; for we shall see him as he is." ( 1 Jn 3:2).

Zechariah 5:6 what is the true definition of "ephah" clearly this is not talking about weights or measures bushel, and as in 5:7-11 a woman can not set in a "weight" - two winged women lifted the ephah up, can you please explain this to me?
  • Manny on Zechariah 5 - 6 years ago
The last section at the end is referring to the establishment of spiritual Babylon

The depiction through writing in the Hebrew texts of "women " is becoming known to be in accurate. The word for woman in Hebrew is the same as the word for "fire ". This begins to make sense when reading in Ezekiel when he refers to an epha or container containing and evil women that has a lead covering on it. It too is raised up into the sky and delivers death. It makes more sense to see these two occurrences of women with wings ascending, as missiles having atomic war-heads in them.

The seed of Christianity has been cast around the world, the virgin birth, the death, burial and resurection of Christ and why they have happened has been made known to all the world for these 2000 years.GOD almighty offers grace and love to all through faith in JESUS CHRIST, and through JESUS CHRIST alone, no other way, very simple, salvation is a free unmerrited gift from GOD, we only need to except the gift, for eternal life in heaven. BUT, the time has come for the seed to stop being sown, the fields of the world have had the seed cast upon them, the harvest is close at hand, and yet as it was in the timee of Noah, every thought and intent of mans heart is only evil continually. Even so Come LORD JESUS!

Could the flying scroll be satellite technology, & the two women symbolically the two women we see in Revelation 12 & 17? The land of Shinar, is that modern day Iraq? As I read this text it reminded me of how the enemy has infiltrated this technology to the point of Identity theft, porn you name it its happening through this technology.
