Ephesians 2:8-9 By faith we are saved, not by works lest any man should boast. But faith without works changed behavior that reflects Gods love for others , is dead. If there was anything man could DO to add to his " saving" then Jesus would need not have died. So the point is, faith in Jesus' sacrifice and resurrection are what saves us and secures us as His, but if your life should show changes.

God asks, "Do you not know who I am?". Know this sisters and brothers our God, Creator, and Father will not share his glory with another. He alone is to be worshiped and sees things from the End to the Beginning. Already knowing how things will go, who will and will not submit to him. There is one way and ONLY one way. Jesus Christ his Son is that way. By Faith not seed line, works, or law.
  • Melki
Faith without works is dead. What are the works? Works are the laws we are commanded to keep. For it is written in Revelations 22:14 that only those who keep the laws will be allowed to enter into the kingdom. Come out of Christianity and start keeping the laws of Yahuwah.
  • Cindy
Revelations is not talking about the 10 commandments when Jesus said keep my laws. Jesus law is the law of Grace not of works. The law of Moses has been fulfiled By Jesus. That means he completed and finished all the works of the law for us. When you depend on the law for salvation you spit on the cross and trample the blood of Christ under foot. No flesh was ever justified by the law. Ever.

Rev.14:6-12 is the three angels message... V12 says Here is the patience of the saints here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Rev 12:17 The dragon was wroth with the woman and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Rev 19:10 tells what the testimony of Jesus Christ is.
  • Adam
I agree with this. Many contemporary Christian churches are teaching once-saved, always saved and their church members use it as justification to proactively sin with no guilt, not asking forgiveness, not even trying to avoid sin, but enjoying it as a perk of grace. This is exactly what Paul said to not do- Romans 6. And if someone turns their back and denies Christ they should not expect grace. Hebrews 6.

It's hard to read harsh words, but they are still "pure" words. I like to think of v.13 like Gen. 4 re Cain and Abel, accepted and not accepted....we have to trust that God is just.
  • Corinne
Paul is clear here. His heart is continually heavy because he understands that all those who claim to be Israel, will not all be saved. Yeshua explains that the elect will be gathered from one end of the earth to the other. This is the remnant. We need to learn who Israel is. Once we are enlightened, then we will understand what Paul is teaching.

Osee is the Greek form of Hosea. You will find in 1:10 the answer to part of your question. Chapter 3 explains the not beloved who departed from God in worshiping idols but their return to God in the latter days to become again the beloved. It's in between the lines.
  • Joseph
Osee is Hosea. The passage is found in Hosea 2:23

In reply to Rom. 9:25 - This scripture is speaking on the authority and power of God in his ultimate wisdom as our creator. Paul speaks previously in the chapter how he will have mercy on whom he will have mercy. This verse is linked to Hosea ch. 1. Though God will be merciful to some, others will experience his wrath, but at the conclusion, he has a plan to save his children. Jews and Gentiles.
  • Kenneth Randolph
Help me folks 25th verse Who or What is Osee and where in the Bible is the saying in the same verse that Paul ascribes to this name??

Rev 3:20 Behold I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Angelia: Verse 11: Esau is Hated Before He is Born. Before Doing Bad or Good. Therefore hath He Mercy on Whom He will have Mercy(Romans 9:18-24) --- He Hath Chosen Us in Him Before The Foundation of The World, that We should be Holy and without Blame Before Him in Love(Ephesians1:4) Right now It's Very Hard to Understand. He Knew from The Beginning Who would be in Hell.
  • Angelia
I strongly believe God gives us choices to be loyal/faithful to him but after he has given us so many chances he backs off and let us become the owner of our own fate. This is when we can say referring back to Romans 9:13 that hate steps in. I think it becomes hate of our evil doing not hate toward us as a person people often get confused with this verse.

Thats is the Children of flesh are not the Children of God its the CHILDREN OF PROMISE THAT ARE COUNTED FOR THE GOOD SEED WHICH IS THE H.G. OUR NEW INNERMAN OUR NEW HEART N NEW SPIRIT ETC .WHICH MEANS ITS CHRIST AND HIS SEED THAT ARE THE CHILDREN OF PROMISE THE ISRAEL OF GOD TH MULTIPLICATION OF VERY GOD IN HUMANITY TO WHOM THE WORD CAME IT MADE THEM GODS THAT WHICH IS BORN OF THE SPIRIT IS SPIRIT
  • John
This chapter clearly shows that god chooses his elect. Not all who call their self Christians are saved. God will have mercy on who HE chooses. Many are called, FEW ARE CHOOSEN!lll
  • Richard Carrington
verse 4 Who are israelites to whom pertinent the promises verse 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh these are not the children of God verse 24,25 Read Hosea 2:23, Hosea 1:10 These are all israelites not outsiders
  • Tim
I am sharing this because I believe in Jesus to help me to share this.

The stumblingblock from verses 30-33, is not Jesus. Jesus cannot be the stumblingblock because he is our salvation. He did everything in his power as God's own Son, to help us believe in him. If we don't take him at his word, that is the stumblingblock. God bless.

verse 25 As he saith also in Osee What is that ?
  • Frances Matthews
God is still in control of the Remnant, I believe God said there is no respect of person, He whom gives his heart completely to God through the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ, being born again, and have become a new creature in the Lord, will be in the remnant, Jews, Greeks ,Blacks ,Whites, all of God's people, for God said he has sheep of another fold that He will bring, will be in the Remnant.
  • Adewale Ebiesuwa
It is by Election and Mercy from God not of works that you are choosen by him or receive good things
  • Wilda
This is certainly not the first time I read this chapter, but as our living circumstances change so the word of God is recognized according to our needs. I find more so in recent times that I come to question the reckless speech, conduct and indulgence of persons who were raised having the privilege to attend Sunday School, people who have been taught the word of God as children.
  • Alex
Just as isaac was the child of Promise under the old covenant, under the new covenant it THE HG. that is the child of Promise which is the N.B. IMMANUEL God with us,the multiplication of Abraham was just a metaphor for the multiplication of very God in humanity via the seed of the sower which is our new man, he is not born of the will of man nor of blood nor flesh but of the will of God th PROMISE
  • Alex
Romans 9 tells us that ITS the children of Promise that are counted for the good seed, the children of the flesh are NOT the children of God, its the children of Promise that are THE good seed, which are them that are born of the SPIRIT,ETC the seed of Christ his seed being the WORD that is gonna be sown in us resulting in a birth of Christ in us, Immanuel GOD WITH US thus NEW INNERMAN th PROMISE
  • Edna
Yes it was thru thy seed promised thru Abraham (Isaac) by faith not only to the Jews but also to the gentils not by the works of the law but thru faith
