    Hi Kenneth.

Amen to both comments given to you by Sacha and Adam.

Turn from what ever that's hindering you and most important, Turn to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Ask him to come into your life and guide you through his word.

    God bless you.
  • Lauren - In Reply on Romans 7 - 2 years ago
the depth of your sin is not nearly as powerful as the Blood of Christ,

shed for you. Only believe...... lift up Christ Jesus, not the power of

your sin. Ask God to show you the riches of the Cross. God Bless.
  • Sacha - In Reply on Romans 7 - 2 years ago
Dear Kenneth Tipton , please do not despair , you have not done one thing that some one else hasnt done before you did , you have not done any thing that God didnt see you do , he was with you the whole time , you cannot ever hide from him and thats a good thing , repent of you sins , open your heart to Him in prayer , dont attempt to hide anything from Him because you know you cant and dont attempt to hide anything from yourself , be honest , the truth is often awful but it must be faced , God loves the truth , talk to Him ,read the Bible ,this isnt about beating yourself up its about recognising your sinfull self and asking God to forgive your sins and help you to move on , surround yourself with other Christians ,keep away from the things and people that tempt you , God loves you ,always ,He will not EVER leave you ,reach out to Him and He will take your hand .
  • Adam - In Reply on Romans 7 - 2 years ago
    Dear Kenneth,

It's a common trick by the enemy to persuade you into assuming your sin is too big for grace. That's false. The only unforgivable sin is blasphemy of the holy spirit- all others are absolutely forgivable. Paul used to murder Christians before being the biggest evangelist for Christ in world history and writing most books in the Bible. Moses killed someone. David had a twisted affair where he killed her husband. God can forgive you if you repent.

Is Jesus's death on the cross not good enough for you? God already loved you so much He died for you- what else can He do? If you're a lost sheep all you need to do is call out to Jesus- give your heart to Him and He will find and rescue you. Don't believe the devil's lies. Fight back by reading God's word and staying in the truth- keeping your metaphorical armor of God on to fight against satan's lies. Then once you find your way back to Jesus, 'go and sin no more'. God bless you!

I have gone so deep in sin that I am ashamed to ask the Lord Jesus to help me. I am so alone and afraid. The "Prodigal Son" would be ashamed to be seen with me and that only the least of my shame.

I do agree that God's forgiveness shown to us goes beyond human comprehension, but I fail to see how God forgives when a 'Christian' spurns His Love & Grace afforded him, by living a life of sin - even in the matter before us, on divorce & re-marriage. I even suggested that such a person needs to have a good look at his 'Christian' life & testimony & discern whether he's been living a life of deception to himself & others all the while. When that 'Christian' finally comes to the place of real contrition for his sins (in humility & brokenness), yes, there is a place of repentance, though much damage has been done to several parties which can't be undone & he will have to live with it.

And I suppose "the one thing that a person can commit that cannot be forgiven even by God" would ultimately be a full rejection of His Love shown through the giving of Himself through His Son. But this opportunity is open till one's last breath, though some mistakenly believe that they take that chance & do so successfully.
  • Daniel - In Reply on Romans 7 - 3 years ago
"If you care about having committed the unforgivable sin, you probably haven't."

I at one point in my life when I was a young man thought I may have committed this sin. I sought scriptures on it , I sought people to explain to me what it actually was. I was in a phycological hell for a time. Until I read a piece on what the unpardonable sin really was. The man who wrote said what I just quoted. The unpardonable sin, he said, was total disregard for the things of God especially if one knows the will of God and has rejected all. Then you die in your sin without the saving Grace that is called the Gift of God. ( Ephesians 2:8)

If you CARE about having done such a thing points to want to repent . And sorrow that one may have committed it. The person who does not care will not have such a conviction. Because the Unpardonable sin is ignoring the Love of God and the conscience is seared. Faith cannot be restored by such an individual.
  • Dianne - In Reply on Romans 7 - 3 years ago
Gentlemen the only sin that can't be undone is the one that can't be forgiven because it can't be reversed, and I know there will be more that one understanding of what that may be, so question is what does it mean to blaspheme the holy spirit, have heard several takes on this, but ask yourself what is one thing person can commit that cannot be forgiven even by God.
  • Chris - In Reply on Romans 7 - 3 years ago
If I could add, Seeker of Truth, & for your consideration: would a true child of God continue to live a life of rampant sin? You say that "no amount of sin will take you from His hands" & in a sense you're correct as our salvation is sealed & secure, but the question again, can a Christian even sin is such a manner without taking stock of his life & questioning his salvation? I simply can't see that happening - the Spirit of God will not permit it, under any circumstance. He has either been fooling himself to think that salvation is his or he will face the discipline of God, even death, if he continues to shame the Lord with his life & testimony.

Many Christians suffer much because of a disregard to God's Holy requirements upon them & they wonder why 'the devil' is attacking them. If our hearts are clean before the Lord, we may then have reason to wonder, but that enquiry will turn to peace & trust in the Lord as we await His help & recovery from our temporary distress. In the matter of divorce, it can & does happen & the believer is to remain single & serve the Lord in that state. If a believer chooses to remarry, even multiple times in search of the 'ideal', then that can never be in the Plan of God, rather we being in a state of total disregard & opposition to Him & having a carnal desire to please the flesh, seeking earthly happiness. We cannot serve the lusts of our flesh & God at the same time; we would have to cast off all conviction & urging by the Spirit so that our lusts may be consumed upon ourselves - & that goes for all sin, aside from divorce.
  • Hindrances To Prayers Being Answered - In Reply on Romans 7:21 - 3 years ago
This is a really good place to go to work through Hindrances to Prayer. I went through this years ago. I had to forgive others. I had to forgive myself.

The Cross of Christ Jesus, and His shed blood, showed on "our balance sheet", PAID IN FULL.

It's the Holy Spirits Work to help us work out our own salvation, every day. Give thanks that He's Helping us. Praise and then get quiet and listen. Faces of people who hurt me would come forward in my mind. That is who we need to pray about. You will know when you've wiped the sheet blank.

Sometimes The Accuser, will accuse that God didn't do enough. Rebuke that voice in the Name of Jesus. A day we I'll come when you will experience the freedom that is in Jesus.

Go here to see what the hindrances may be:

You can put it on your Google page by clicking/touch the ICON that has an arrow point upwards from a box. Save. That page will be in a box on your google page. It is a lot to read all at once. Get ready for miracles ... hearing Holy Spirit every day.

A few things to realize about being saved. First you must have repented as Luke 13:3 says "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:5 says the same thing. Christ told man to repent. So what is repentance? It is a request made to God, you are confessing sins, you are saying you are sorry for doing the sin, you are asking for forgiveness, AND you are stating that your opinion and mindset towards sin has changed. Repent is to change decision or your mind. So repentance includes your future actions are not to commit sin again. It's not on us alone to shun sin. You have a need to be honest with God and you must do your part to distance yourself from sin. That part is described in 2 Corinthians 7:1 "Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." Cleansing ourselves from filthiness is not forgiving our own sins, it is removing sinful things from our lives. Former smokers throw the cigarettes out. Don't keep beer in the fridge. Don't buy the adult magazines. YOU actively do not bring the sinful thing into your life, distancing from the sins is your job.

Secondly there's a 2nd work on your spiritual man that's needed. Sanctification. This is only for those free from sin via repentance, those that do not sin still. Prayer to God again, that admits you are carnal, that you ask God to remove the carnality, and to fill your heart with the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit which is the same part of God. Paul asked this question in Acts 19:2 "He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost." Vs 6 same chap. "And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied." Speaking in tongues were needful then but not today & it's not a sign of holiness, but a life free from sin is.

Plz do not be upset about this post its all truth. David was on his roof top when he took bathsheba, she was bathin, But she had a previous husband. Uriah. Christ had already ascended when he took the Church she was bathin in H.G. baptism,But she had a previous husband which was the LAW .Bathsheba had to marry another even David she was dead to Uriah by the body of David, Paul said you are dead to the Law OUR 1ST Husband by the body of Christ that you should be Married to another even Christ . Romans 7 v 4. Bathsheba was barren under Uriah but she was fruitful under David but the 1st Child was sick and died in its infancy,The early Church was fruitful under Christ Jesus ,their 1st Child was Christianity but the Child was sick and died in its infancy there is no more original CHRISTIANITY. Micah said he wd give them up til she that is in travail has given birth ( the woman in rev 12 ) giving birth to the Children of the Kingdom, remember Jesus said the good seed are the CHILDREN OF THE KINGDOM and Jesus is the father of the children of the Kingdom simply b/c of his good seed the Word. The Kingdom did not come with the early CHURCH But ya see its comes with the WOMAN WITH CHILD unless ya receive the Kingdom as a lil Child etc. Rev 12 v 10. David put away Uriah with his own words th law. Paul said you are dead to the law by the body of CHRIST THAT YOU SHOULD BE MARRIED TO ANOTHER even CHRIST JESUS AND BRING FORTH FRUIT UNTO GOD, WHICH IS THE H.G. The FATHER said he wd make a new covenant with the house of Israel Not according to the covenant i made with their fathers. A marriage is a covenant we must be married to Christ,And bring forth fruit unto God The H.G . Bathsheba had to travail a 2 nd time to get Solomon which means comforter, The CHURCH WILL HAVE TO TRAVAIL A 2 ND TIME, The 1st child was sick and died in its infancy Christianity. My lil Children of whom i travail in birth AGAIN til Christ is formed in you WHICH IS THE Kingdom, My works shall ye do n Greater.

  • POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS on Romans 7 - 3 years ago
Corona Virus must bow it's knee to the Name of Jesus. Build your faith on Gods Word. Know your authority. That is your sword: Ephesians 6

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is NONE OTHER NAME under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Philippians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in MY NAME, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Luke 10:17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy NAME.

Acts 4:30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the NAME of thy holy child Jesus.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the NAME of the Lord shall be saved.

Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the NAME of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the NAME of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

    Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In MY NAME shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Jeremiah 10:6 Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy NAME is great in might.

The key to Romans 7 is in the first verse ."Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?" for I speak to them that know the law . For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.verse 5 when we were in the FLESH . chapter 8 talks about when U are in the Spirit . There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Walking in FLESH is walking in Works LAW . Walking in SPIRIT is walking in FAITH . if U are dead to the flesh and alive to the Spirit in CHRIST JESUS then U can do the things U want to do and not do the things U don't want to do under LAW U are BOUND under SPIRIT U are Free....

since christ called us to follow him. he called us into a spiritual walk with him. we said yes to Christ. but we left the natural behind. to me that's the war of the flesh. obedience to Christ 100 percent. and answering our flesh with the word NO if it doesn't please GOD. and asking for forgiveness if we go the wrong way.

Jesus is convicting me and this is a heavy burden on me because I'm trying to hold on to a Sin that I know that he will destroy me if I keep holding on . Jesus , took away my potty mouth . This is a crutch for me .

Every person on the planet earth was born under the submission of sin unknowingl, until the law of sin and death became acknowledged to us that we were sinners. The sin was and still is present in those that has not accepted the resurrection death of Jesus' to denounce sin as no longer an issue to those who believe that he took care of the sin issue by His blood and He is the living sacrifice.

Romans 7: 1 - 4 Is describing the bondage of the law is like a husband having dominion over the woman as long as he is alive, but we are dead to the law our 1st husband, our 1st husband died which was the law. Now Christ is our husband.David fulfilled the office of the husband with Bathsheba, she was dead to Uriah by the body of David, now we are dead to the law by the body of Christ our new Husband.
  • Vicki on Romans 7 - 5 years ago
It's simple, we're under grace not the law. No one can keep the law. It's purpose is to show our sin and lead us to Christ to be saved by faith. The apostle Paul describes the struggle between the new and old nature.
  • Alex on Romans 7 - 5 years ago
Jason i admire your spritual insight, but if you read Romans 7 v 4 we see that Nabal was symbolic of the law our 1st husband but Romans 7 v 4 says you are dead to the law (Nabal ) by the body of Christ that you should be married to another ( Christ ) Abigail married another which was David then Nabal died. At Horeb Moses married Israel to the Law/Nabal he said this is what God has ENJOINED unto you
