Romance 4:7 put us to the level of God and we operate as such...calling things which be not as though they are....this is God at work in man...

While new and some not so new Christians mature, they still struggle with sin, and stumble at times. They WILL be all that God has predestined them to be, and the Lord will chasten them as a loving Father. Their lives are hid in Christ, indeed must be, because if they were NOT "under the blood ", they would not be able to stand before the Lord should God take them at His appointed time Heb.9:27 . David agonized for several months while he battled with his conscience, but he was never lost. He called on the Lord to restore the JOY of God 's salvation in Psalm 5:12, not the salvation itself. His chastening was finally complete when the prophet Nathan confronted him. The penalty for our sin has been paid in full by the work of Christ on the cross. "For if we sin WILFULLY, after that we have received the knowledge of the truth there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins " Heb 10:26, KJV . Those that are born and led of the Spirit will NEVER sin willfully again. They are sealed and kept by God, as David was. When this truth is embedded in the heart, we are able to trust God implicitly and know that they are His forever!

I am so thankful that God called Paul to preach to the gentiles .His explanation here of salvation by faith and not by works is so plain. Also the way he shows Gods Grace to all not to the Jew only but to the Gentiles as well,What a Blessing.Thank You Lord

We cannot look at what we see in the natural, but believe what God 's word says and speak it continuously. If we believe, speak and act the Word is true. Faith is the substance...speak it into existance, no matter how it looks.

When we have faith in God our God will give us the power in believing on him. He is the resurrection of life even if our faith is dead he can still restore them coz God loves us so much and he never fails us his love and mercy is always following us. Thanks Jesus for his precious blood that shed for us and his perfect obedience to the Father. We must accept God 's words and obey his wordsd until rapture. His words is our heavenly manna that gives us life, peace in abundance. His words saves us. Thanks be to God forever and have faith with our God forever. He is the only Jehovah the Provider and our Peace. God can bless us whenever he wants as he is not limited with time and place. He is the God of life. Give thanks to God and Praised him all the time as he is worthy to be praised. Amen

  • Ernest atuahene on Romans 4 - 9 years ago
Where there is no law there is no transgression, when God look at me He sees Christ Jesus, cos I am in a place of Christ, the seed of Abraham. Blessed is the man that God will not count his sin, I am not justified by my works but by faith in Christ Jesus.

The scripture is just telling us that there is better hope than the hope that we can be offered by this world God himself is the Hope that we should believe in against all false hope that can be offered by this world there is better hope who is Jesus Christ the author and the finisher of our faith
  • Mary on Romans 4:17 - 9 years ago
It is most significant to me as I accept that Christ lives in me and I too can speak those things that are not as though they were... "ARE "... "IS ".... "In The Now "....that is what "Faith Does "....the words we speak... "Has life and death " in them.
  • Jennifer on Romans 4:25 - 9 years ago
As proof of Gods acceptance of the sacrifice for our sins were paid through the death of His son ie the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus and then God raised Jesus from the dead showing that we are now justified because our sins have been paid for.i see it like an acknowledgement just like in the old testament when a sacrifice was consumed by fire it showed that God was pleased with the sacrifice by raising Jesus from the dead and thereby proving to man that He was justified through faith in the work of the cross.

  • Rev. Velma Brown on Romans 4:17 - 9 years ago
We are to call those things that are not as though they were. We speak in faith believing that God will bring it to pass. My trust is in God not in the world system. God will take care of you if we stop trying to take care of ourself.
  • THOMAS.V.JOSE on Romans 4 - 9 years ago
verse15 .According to JESUS a man should leave all his worldly pleasures which his body experiences and should live in his soul,if one lives in his soul he shouldn 't follow any law which is meant for the body.If you live in your soul you can forgive others ,you will not become angry, you love others since what others do against you is only against your body and not against your soul or the actual you.

Abraham had built a strong, personal, trusting relationship with Jehovah over many years. He rejected any doubts that might have weakened that relationship.
  • Bonah Felicity on Romans 4:17 - 9 years ago
Romans 4 17, is a typical example of the book of Genesis 1 1 going. When God said, let there be and there was. So the worlds were created out of things which do not appear. So God himself, the I am God created the world by faith. So Hebrews recorded For by faith the worlds were created out of things which do not appear. So Abraham believed God based on nothing out of nothing at all, no evidence took a bold step by stepping out of his fathers kindred, to where he doesn 't even know, where as the things God promised Abraham in human idealogy, seemed so impossible but by Abrahams faith, impossibilities became a reality. Thus Abrahams faith calleth forth those things that be not as though they were. In our life application nothing can bring our breakthrough except by faith. Hebrews 11 1 faith therefore is the substance of things hoped for and evidence of things unseen. For we walk by faith not by sight!

  • Jesus child on Romans 4 - 10 years ago
Faith and law are two different things.
  • Henry D on Romans 4 - 10 years ago
Romans 4:15 is the heart of the gospel. This is what Christ did at the cross, he nailed the law to the cross ( colossians 2:14). Therefore we do not sin and cannot sin, because their is no law to sin against. Therefore no one sins. The churches have done the opposite, telling us we sin and are sinners, everyone is a saint they just do not know it.

  • Thapelo on Romans 4:17 - 10 years ago
The word of God is a prophesy on its own. The life of Abraham teach us that all that we ever need is given already. all that we ever want to be, we are already. we need to activate that power of God the way He did when He said Let there be, in the beggining. Now Let there be Now in our life in Jesus name. All things are ours
  • Arev. Autrey on Romans 4:20 - 10 years ago
(Verse 20) "Abraham never wavered in believing God's promise. ..." But God's promises to Christians is to forgive our sins, and take us to heaven. It is not temporal and physical, as many believe. Nor is it faith in our ability to force God to grant our earthly wishes. This is more along the lines of magic and mysticism.

The point is, Abraham believed only what God told him. And he has told us, under the New Covenant, that he will save us from death. This was accomplished by his dying on the cross in our place. This is what we put our faith in, not something we made up or something we dreamed about. That is just wishful thinking. In other words, we place our faith in Jesus to save us, not in our own abilities to make this evil world a better place.

But the main point of Paul's writings is, Abraham believed in and followed Jesus before the law was given to us, that is, without the law. And so it is with us; meaning, that for the Christian, the law's administration over us ended when Christ died. Now we live by faith!
  • Rev. Autrey on Romans 4:13 - 10 years ago
(Verse 13) "it is clear, then, that God's promise to give the whold earth to Abraham and his descendants was not based on obedience to God's law. ..." This means that there had to be a change in the way we are saved because no one, not even Abraham, was able to live up to the law's demands. We are too sinful. So God decided that he would give us a new way, the way of faith. Faith is easily within the grasp of all people. All we have to do is believe.

Of course, believing Jesus involves obeying him. Because if you believe someone, you will have faith that you should do as they say. That's why Christians live by every word of Jesus and always want to please him.
