Romans 13:4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

The Higher Power & Minister is of God, not man.

I have taken my shots, Some of my family haven't.

With real life tribulations like serious injury as our family experienced this past summer, it affected our abilities to do things that we would like to have done, like eating together as a family at one table. There were many things that are right and good that we could not do. There might have been noticeable gloominess even, but even in this place of second choice, the whole family carried on with Peace in our hearts. Likely noticed by neighbors particularly of the grace upon the one who was injured. Peace is not works, it is a gift from above while living in the flesh by faith.

Thinking of Works, preparations in the flesh kingdom for a future Peaceful Kingdom are not necessary if we believe by faith the Peaceful Kingdom is at hand. The finished Work of Jesus Christ at Calvary which also binds Satan, allows the Kingdom of God to dwell in man. In this Kingdom we are His purpose for His value.

Thank you Gentle Brothers in Christ for sharing our hearts together. A few thoughts:

The Gospel message for the Christian to share is "To Come". Do we want to hinder this message by the cares of this world? The scriptures say to give honor to those who have authority over us. God has seen to protect His children by authorities in the world so that in the world we can be quiet and stay on message. What is the message? The message He made in our lives by Christ Jesus, our Life, our eternal life, which is seen by our neighbors by our peace and love. We have been bought for a price and we cannot pickup where we left off in our worldly pride and worldly self worth. Our value is in Him. We can be lambs in Him and he is our Shepherd and if we will follow Him we can lay down our lives without fear for our Love that we have for our friends.

Spiritual discernment is needed in medical and political issues in our lives.

    Be brave.

    :)

    Dear Brother ChrisE,

Sorry to hear that you and your family have suffered with the covid, but also very glad to hear that you, and family members affected, have now recovered. We also praise God along with you for the healing.

I also believe that God created his children to have special talents, including the knowledge to use medicine to heal. God provides us with this knowledge to help ourselves as the following scripture mentions.

    Revelation 22:2

"In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations."

    2 Kings 20:7

"And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered."

Even Jesus acknowledges that we may need a physician:

    Matthew 9:12

"But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick."

We Praise God for your recovery, as God continues to use others, and methods (Physicians, pharmaceuticals) to help us in the healing our physical ailments.

    God Bless.

Precious friend(s), My family and I (3) have had the covid, and, Praise God, have 'recovered.' Our "immunity" should be good for another year, Correct?

I am retired, and Yes, I believe in the freedom to research / 'discuss' this with the family physician, and having the 'choice' of what's BEST for us, whether it is the mandated 'death' injection, OR, "the antiviral meds that work like HCQ and Ivermectin" {thanks Adam}, or, is not there now something called the 'Monoclonal Antibodies' that are also Very Effective?

Hi Sandra , I'm not anti vaccination , I'm for the freedom to choose , you mention that your workplace is a Christian environment so this scripture might be understood by your boss and workmates . 2 Samuel , Ch24 , especially V10 to 14 . When God offers David a choice of punishments notice David's answer V14 . It could be said that the vaccine represents man's hands . Again I say I'm not anti vaccination . I believe we should all be able to choose .
  • Gabrielle - In Reply on Romans 13 - 2 years ago
You should tell your workplace that you've already spoken to the manager. God is the higher authority. We are of God or created by God in the flesh, and work for God in service to God in the spirit. "Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; 16 and he fell on his face at Jesus' feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. 17 Then Jesus answered, "Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? 18 Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?" 19 And he said to him, "Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well." Faith heals. Not blind belief.

    Acts 5:27-29

Peter was commanded by the governing authorities, council & high priest, to not preach the gospel. He said we ought to obey God rather than man.

We ought to have peace in our hearts and Christ says be according to each man according to his faith.

The head of every man is Christ and it is better to obey Him than man.

Just because someone or entity tells me something is ok doesn't mean I will eat. Let the Holy Spirit guide you God will always meet your needs.

It seems from the least to the greatest this issue is causing a great division. The Spirit of Christ does not cause division - This is the spirit of the anti Christ. John 10:10 this is the thief.

Christ comes to give us life and life more abundantly.

Trust in God He will direct your steps!
  • Chris - In Reply on Romans 13 - 2 years ago
Hello Sandra. Yours is a predicament being faced by many all over the world. And more so for believers, when a Scripture as Romans 13:1 is cast upon an employee.

Firstly, I believe that this Scripture is directed to where a government or their authorized entity is bound by Law to demand something from their citizens, to which, citizens must obey or accept; whether to exact a penalty for a crime, for payment of taxes & other dues, to live properly & peaceably in society, & a whole lot more. Even though the cruel Roman govt. was in power in Paul's days, he was still subject to them, suffering as a Christian.

So, if in your country/state, it has become Law that every citizen has to receive the injection, then you have to obey or suffer the consequences (with a penalty). However, in your question, it seems that the govt. has not enforced the vaccine on all, but it is actually the requirement of your employer. Is your employer under some order from the govt. to enforce this upon employers/businesses, or is it because your employer just wants to ensure that all their staff are adequately vaccinated? If the latter, and they refuse to hear of any dissension on the issue, even if you explain that you fear possible adverse affects on your health or for conscience sake, then the choice is before you. Either take the vaccine or leave the job & trust the Lord for another. But the way things are moving, it appears that unless you're self-employed or retired, one may not get any choice about it in the future. If you have some under-lying medical issue, often a doctor's letter to that effect will help.

In answer to your question, I believe that Romans 13:1 has been misused by your employer as you are subject to him/her only & this has not become a governmental law. To be able to make a choice (especially in this case of vaccinations), this should always be our right (as was done in past epidemics/diseases), but unfortunately, employers also can dictate their requirements.

Adam thank you for reminding us how to think for ourselves. God Bless.
  • Adam - In Reply on Romans 13 - 2 years ago
    Dear Sandra,

Because the experimental covid injections have killed so many thousands of people (possibly more than million worldwide) and because it has caused so many thousands of injuries 500k in the US and millions worldwide, and because people who get it are getting covid even easier than those without, and because it doesn't limit the spread either, I believe it's wrong to take it and immoral to push others to take it. I believe evil people are using this as a sick experiment to make billions in profits. They are calling most of the deaths from the injection as covid to continue pushing the lie. They also lie and call deaths from the injection as 'unvaccinated' deaths if within 14 days of the injection. Flu, pneumonia, and other diseases are almost disappeared only because they are simply calling it all 'covid' so they can make more money. It has bankrupted people and their banning of the antiviral meds that work like HCQ and Ivermectin is pure evil.

God gave us an immune system and wants us to take care of our bodies (which are God's property), like through eating right and exercise. People in fear are falsely assuming there's no alternative but to take this stupid untested death injection. Our God-given immune system is the #1 strongest fight against any virus. I don't understand why people are deathly afraid of something that isn't even the leading cause of death? The same fanatics have less fear for heart disease, cancer from smoking, alcohol and drug abuse, abortion, falling, and other deaths that are way more dangerous than covid. It's all about fear and propaganda pushing the fear. The CDC's death count isn't even correct. 600k have NOT died from it in the US. The CDC admits this in fine print on their own website. Only 5% of their deaths are due only to 'covid' and I suspect its even less than that. There is no evidence of a pandemic. Total deaths seem normal for the growing population. This may be the strong delusion the Bible talks about.

Do we still sin after becoming a Christian?
  • Richard in Christ - In Reply on Romans 13:4 - 2 years ago
In all kindness. Like stated if you think that shall do better please do it.

So even though "hel" and "hell" sound exactly the same when you say them now it's down to how you spell the word? Not how it sounds? As stated this to me would be going down a rabbit hole.

About the story of the "rusty bones" do you think the mother was putting some curse on the child or something by saying that? My father used to tell me eating the crust of bread would give me curly hair. Obviously not true. To think that mans knee problem had anything to do with what his mother told him is pretty much a long shot. I'd probably start asking about the mans life. I know many people who have bad knees and are still in their thirties. Along with older who have had knee replacements. It's not because of what their parents told them either.

One thing I was thinking about sharing with you was my grandmother. I used to always wonder why she never replied back to me after I told her I loved her. Though I cannot imagine having a more loving, precious, grandmother than her whom I was blessed to have. She did not have to say she loved me every time I saw her. I truly don't have one memory of her where she did not have a smile on her face and was so loving and caring toward me. She was such a good person and I know she is at peace with God now. She probably knew that saying "I love you" too much would get old and she didn't need to say it. I know she loved me dearly by who she was. Not her saying it.

As I will not use the word you don't like here anymore only for you. Not that it will do any difference though like I stated I am only thinking of you.

And maybe to make you feel better know that when I say "that word you don't like"(which I still use as there is no wrong to it) it sounds like "hallo" with smiles.

Showing our love toward one another in deeds in life is very much more important than just words. 1 John 3:18.

    God Bless you Sam.

    Hi Richard,

    Thanks for you comments!

We as true Christians have the Love of The Spirit of Christ in us, so even if we say "Hello" all day long, we still have that Spirit of Love within us to show love and be love.

However, the sinners, the people of "the carnal world" are not like that.

They do not have "The Holy Spirit of Love" in them, so by default they follow the deceitful desires of their carnal mind, and with little or not resistance.

All the good things that carnal men and women do in the world is because of The Holy Spirit compelling them in certain areas to do good.

So, for carnal men and women to accept a new greeting like "LoveO" as a default greeting, this certainly over time can also use that to help change their mindset and way of thinking so they show more love and less hell!

Also a far as names go, "hel" is NOT the "Hell".

I personally know of a Christian Pastor who when he was very young and also throughout out his adult life, his mother use to tell him that he had "rusty bones". He offered absolutely no spirtual resistance to those negative words his mother spoke over him for more than 40 years.

So guess what happened to him? Before he was even 60 years old, he had to get surgery for both of his knee caps replaced. Why? You guessed it!....because of "rusty bones". The cartilage thinned on his bones out and over time the wear and tear caused his knee caps to became unusable.

So, anytime you can speak words of healing, love, and life into the mix of your everyday life, and over someone else, do it, because it is the right thing to do it, and it benefits both the sinners and the saints.

    Hi Rob,

I don't think anyone here has ever said Jesus Christ is God the Father. He is the only begotten Son of God. Like you stated flesh from being born of Mary. Though no virgin can give birth to a person. They must be conceived. The Holy Ghost is what conceived Mary. The Holy Ghost is of God. Jesus Christ was not just a human like you or me. He was part human part God.

I was wondering if it was the same Rob I have had conversations before about the divinity of Christ. In your question about "God not being flesh". Which I believe we all know. Also has nothing to do with Jesus Christ being God the Son.

He is on the right hand of God. Nothing is above Him and everything is below Him. Just as God the Father as they are ONE. Also the He existed before the world was.

As I might as well bring this up as well as I know some believe this view. That Jesus Christ received the Holy Ghost at His baptism in the Jordan. Maybe because of the vision John saw of the Spirit descending upon Him. Which to me was just for a testimony. Also as God spoke from Heaven. John the baptist was filled with the Holy Ghost from his mothers womb as in Luke 1:15. I don't understand how anyone could think the Holy Ghost/Spirit of God was not with Jesus Christ from His mothers womb also. Also in that John was born of two human parents. Not as Christ in that God is His real Father. Even showing Jesus knew he was the Son of God in Luke 2:49. As we who are born again, knowing God is our Father, receiving the the Holy Spirit of adoption as in Romans 8:15-16. Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and ONE with God the Father. Along with the Holy Ghost. 1 John 5:7.

No one said anyone gave anything to God the Father.

    God Bless.

The verse I'm looking for in the bible is in the Old Testament. I can't remember where I read it , have not found it yet but did come across other verses , like

Hosea 11 .9 that confirms that verse and Jeremiah 32.27 , numbers 27.16

Malachi 3.6 and Luke 34.39 from Jesus himself .

The bottom line is God is Spirit and creator of all things visible and invisible. That's the father .

Jesus is man and also born of The Spirit of God , and flesh of Mary , but he is not the father either , the father never had or will have flesh .

Therefore Jesus is the Son of God the only begotten.

All things Jesus has have been given him from God the father .

No one gave anything to God the father . He is God alone .

    Amen

To Rob: sorry I didn't see your question was about God's flesh. Here's some interesting, thought provoking scriptures.

    Exodus 33

17 And the LORD said unto MOSES, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.

19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.

20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, AND LIVE.

21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:

22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:

23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my BACK PARTS, but my face shall not be seen.

    John 4:24

GOD IS A SPIRIT: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."

    Genesis 15 (ABRAHAM COVENANT)

8 And he said, Lord GOD, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?

9 And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.

10 And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not.

12 And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.

17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. (God)

18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying:

There's 128 verses with flesh, in the New Testament KJV

    1 Corinthians 15:39

All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

    Revelation 19:18

That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

    Romans 8:3

For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

    Romans 8:12

Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

    2 Corinthians

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

    Philippians 3:4

Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:

    Ephesians 2:11

    Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

    Mark 10:8

And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

    2 Corinthians 5:16

Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

    Ephesians 2:3

    Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind;

    Johnny Ray,

There is only one name we have repentance and remission of our sins, there is only one name we have salvation, there is only one name we have hope in eternal life, only in the name of Jesus we are sanctified, justified. Jesus is the resurrection and the life, Jesus is the true vine, Jesus is the light of the world, we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The reason Matthew 28:19 is used for baptism, in my opinion, is for support of the Creeds that many Christian denominations hold for Christian unity (ecumenism).

    God bless, Ron

I tried searching just the word flesh on multiple search engines and the verse does not show up , what are they hiding ? I guess you have to go to a hard copy to get honest answers .

Think about it God says he has no flesh , and he changes not ever . That's something to consider .
  • Chris - In Reply on Romans 13:4 - 2 years ago
It simply means, 'to give' or 'to bestow'. The tribute money (or, tax) had Caesar's image on it which could be concluded that the money was produced by the Roman government & was lawful to be used accordingly, whether for the purposes of trade or for paying one's dues.

I read in the Old Testament God speaking that he had no flesh . Yet I can not find it in word searches it never comes up ? I read it not long ago but I can not remember where .

He said he has no flesh . Or not of flesh , I don't remember the exact wording but the idea was no flesh . Thanks if you can find it for me .
