G. MENSAH's comment on 3/26/2017, 10:46pm...

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing Undiluted Word of God.! From the Bible or True Men Of God. Beware, there are many fake words out there..! Lord Help Us daily that we don't fall but stay True to Your Words Only.! For there is Joy when we hear Your True Teachings.. Thank You Jesus..!

Lenny's comment on 3/26/2017, 6:45pm...

Amen! Hearing the word of God results in confidence and ambitions about seeking more of God and within this journey faith ignites. My thoughts is, faith is a strong belief. We cannot have faith in ignoring the word of God. The word of God is to continuously be heard by and not be ignored daily.

A disciple's comment on 3/26/2017, 2:40pm...

Well, it sounds like you got yourself into quite a bit of trouble! If you want to hear the truth, I can help you. Now I can lay forth sound doctrine and good words but you also have to be willing and obedient to hear them. A couple of things straight off: first, that you are "having trouble discerning and hearing God's voice:" and second, that you say, "The word of God is not the Bible, nor the Scriptures." THAT'S YOUR PROBLEM! How else do we have any idea about discerning and hearing God's voice, if not according to the Scriptures in the Bible? Are you expecting otherwise? Do you think you can hear some other voice speaking to you, without the discernment given us in the Word of God? Let's look at what the Bible says about that. 2 Timothy Chapter 3:14-17 "But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." Isaiah 8:19-20 "And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." In Moses, when the Israelites would eventually want to make themselves a king, "like all the Nations " then God gave them the provision to do so, as long as they only chose one from among their own brethren, and not a stranger. He would then not be made king to make himself great with horses and wives and wealth but to be a shepherd and spiritual leader of God's people. Like as we also are chosen from among our brethren by the Father, to be kings and priests for the Lord Jesus in His kingdom the kings of Israel were commanded to write out a copy of the Scriptures for themselves, so they would learn how to rule, and not be lifted up in pride against their brethren. Deuteronomy 17:18-20 "And it shall be, when he sits upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites: and it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them: that his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel." There are many, many examples in Scripture, which are written for our instruction and guidance both in the affairs of this life, and in our walk with God. These things CANNOT come out of our own imagination, or from spirits or voices apart from the Bible. How many times did the Lord rebuke and reprove the Pharisees and Scribes and Rulers of the Jews, because they did not act or speak or judge by what is written in the Scriptures? "Have you not read? . . Have you not read? . . HAVE YOU NEVER READ?" As He most solemnly affirmed "Do not suppose or, expect , that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets: I came not to abolish, but to completely make full. Verily, I say to you up to as far as if the heaven and earth shall pass away not one yode or one tittle shall pass away from the Law, until all be fulfilled." Of course you're gonna be frustrated and lonely! There is no wisdom or understanding or truth outside the Scriptures! I hope you can recover yourself from the snare the devil has laid before you: everything you need to know, and more, is in the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit is given to us to give us an understanding of ALL THINGS.

Deborah Williams's comment on 3/26/2017, 5:43am...

It's true, having faith in God's Word brings you peace of mind, and you can mediate and have discernment in the choices you make in your life.

MockingBird's comment on 3/26/2017, 5:43am...

Faith comes by hearing God's word over , and over , and over , and over , and over , and over , again , and again , and again , and again , and again , and again . Once I've heard , it is time to act on that faith and be doing God's word. God expects me to be doing His word as well as hearing His word . I expect God to do things for me and He in turn expects me to do things for Him as in obeying Him !! Praise God Forever more !!

Debbie's comment on 3/26/2017, 2:16am...

Abraham had faith even as he took Isaac to sacrifice him to the Lord, and the Lord provided a ram! God is true to His Word, we never have to be afraid that He will require more of us than we can give. Jesus was His perfect sacrifice for us. God gave it ALL for us so that we can come to Him as we are through Jesus.

Bud's comment on 3/06/2017, 7:57am...

Irene 123: Thanks for the update, I see that you are will book learned and now more then I for I am still learning but I think you miss the point READ John 3 : 16 again and when I do it does not say you will have to have the HOLY SPIRIT but believe in the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Maybe it's the way I believe but it's my way.

R.J.'s comment on 3/05/2017, 7:58pm...

No they can not be saved. Only people that are at an unaccountable age can be saved with out asking Jesus to forgive them of the sins and to ask him to be there savior.

Irene123's comment on 3/05/2017, 6:48pm...

Bud - Rom. 10:8-9 (Rom.1:7 "called to be saints"). The church in Rome was already established; Paul wasn't writing to sinners. Jesus' church was established in Acts ch. 2 (Acts 2:37-38). The 'calling' and 'believing' were already done for these saints in Acts 2:38. Paul was just reminding them of this because he knew some were weak in their N.T. belief and were thinking about the O.T. law they had

A disciple's comment on 3/05/2017, 11:15am...

Thank you, Bud! While we are commanded to judge righteous judgment, and not to hate our brother in our heart by allowing sin upon him; the things that belong only to God, is NOT for us to meddle in! There is a very interesting part in Ezekiel, that speaks of even Sodom and Samaria being restored by God to their former estate; (Eze. 16:53-55); which sheds some great light upon that subject.

Bud's comment on 3/05/2017, 7:53am...

Verna, Bruce, And Kelsey: Two questions, 1. How do you know that they do not have GOD in their heart. 2. How are you to judge, that is GOD' job not ours. Your job is to pray for them.

Kelsey Oertwich's comment on 3/04/2017, 5:27pm...

Verna Ricker: no they cannot.

Bruce's comment on 3/04/2017, 2:18pm...

Verna: (No) It is appointed unto men once to die,but after this the judgment:Hebrews 9:27. My wife,2 sisters, aunts and uncles a lot of friends have died without Christ. I have 2 brothers, a sister, a son still living without Christ. Why do you ask? that's a hard question

Verna Ricker's comment on 3/04/2017, 6:47am...

I am looking for an answer: If a person dies who don't know God can they be saved?

Stephende's comment on 12/23/2016, 6:15am...

Romans 9 might be the inception of Christianity. But simply uttering the words is not sufficient. In the name of Christ do people murder. God is a Heart knower. The entire person is required by God and not just the mouth. How do live your life? Is it to God. Are you aware of The commandments and that they apply to Christians as well as Jews.

Wendy Morin's comment on 12/22/2016, 8:53am...

How wonderful of Paul, to inform the roman believers and remind the jews of God saying a people who did not know him as God and a foolish nation would reconize him as God. This not only ingrafts all nations to salvation but envokes the jews to examine themselves. Praise God

Irene123's comment on 11/11/2016, 2:16pm...

To Gonzalo - Esaias/Isaiah are the same. The name 'Esaias' is translated from the Greek; Isaiah is from the Hebrew.

Wayne's comment on 9/19/2016, 6:35pm...

Isaiah esaias one person.
