I believe it means also to step out on faith with or without resources.

RNM read my comment on Romans 2, please. The first day of the week was when the 1st century Christians worshipped. The apostles were filled with the Holy Ghost. God cannot lie. They would have had the perfect opportunity time and time again to tell everyone to worship on the seventh day of the week. They did not. Sunday worship of Christ started that very week. Sabbath means rest. Very plain in the scriptures. Wow! Just think of the excitement. God who came down to man with so much love had walked and taught among them, then died for them and rose again! How exciting! They were eyewitnesses to His ascension! Praise God from all blessings flow! God bless you RNM.

ROM 1-23...And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things, which I say..... "Prove to me from the Bible alone that I am bound to keep Sunday holy. The Bible says Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. The Catholic Church says, NO. By my divine power I abolish the Sabbath day and command you to keep holy the first day of the week. And lo! The entire civilized world bows down in reverent obedience to the command of the Holy Catholic Church. Is this going to be your excuse when You stand before the GOD of all CREATION, at the final Judgment, WAKE UP, BEFORE IT 'S TOO LATE, YOUR NOT EVEN PROMISED A TOMORROW!! AMEN!!
  • AMEN JAY on Romans 1:17 - 9 years ago
PEOPLE OF GOD IS ONLY BY FAITH,JUST AS MANKID WORK FOR WAGES.OUR ONLY WAY TO PLEASE GOD IS THROUGH OUR FAITH
  • Joni G on Romans 1 - 9 years ago
That 's right Nisha 313. Romans 1 is not talking about which day to worship. But Romans 1 is a call to examination of your walk with Christ. Some that want to do what they want have erred and become reprobate. Like the commentator says they want to make themselves right and God wrong. Even Jesus, our Savior, the Son of God, was declared to have power by the Spirit with His bodily resurrection, the reprobate go after their own lusts. And not come to faith in Christ. They don 't trust and obey Christ.
  • NISHA313 on Romans 1:17 - 9 years ago
To be born again is to be made all over again. you have to be baptized with the water and spirit. Water has to meanings when it come to baptism. The water is of course being baptized in water, and also the water is the word, Word of God. Bible The Spirit is the Holy Spirit from God that will come and live on the inside of you. After you are baptised in water and with the word. I hope this helped .. Be blessed Plz refer to John 3:1
  • MockingBird on Romans 1:17 - 9 years ago
I am crucified with Christ : Nevertheless I live , yet not I , but Christ liveth in me. Jesus Christ is the righteousness of God and He is my Faith, the Word of God is my Faith Jesus This is totally AWESOME !!!!!
  • NISHA313 on Romans 1:17 - 9 years ago
FOR JOHN 'S COMMENT: FAITH W O OBEDIENCE- FIRST AND FOREMOST, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE FAITH AND BELIEVE IN GOD. FOR WITHOUT FAITH YOU CAN 'T PLEASE HIM AT ALL, NO MATTER HOW MUCH AND MANY GOOD WORKS YOU DO.WHEN YOU ASK GOD FOR ANYTHING YOU MUST BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT HE CAN DO WHATEVER YOU ASK HIM TO, WITH NO DOUBTING AT ALL. IT IS GREATER FOR YOU TO BE NOT ONLY OBEDIENT BUT ALSO WILLING. HE SAY IF YOU BE WILLING AND OBEDIENT YOU WILL EAT THE GOOD OF THE LAND. W O BEING OBEDIENT THERE WILL BE CONSEQUENCES. BE BLESSED PLZ REFER TO- HEBREWS 11:6, ISAIAH 1:19-20.

By his love he has drew me. GOD LOVES US BEYOND ANY LOVE WE CAN IMAGINE. LET US WORSHIP GOD, LET US WORSHIP THE ONLY WISE GOD.
  • Derrick on Romans 1 - 9 years ago
"Anyone " who turns their back to GOD and does what he pleases instead of following the WORD is given over to a reprobate mind. ANYONE!
  • Martha on Romans 1 - 9 years ago
Thelma, Romans 1 clearly tells you who is turned over to a reprobate mind. Romans 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient
  • Joni G on Romans 1 - 9 years ago
I agree. I know some of us have different beliefs. RNM, Some have said you have to do something and if you don 't do it, you are going to hell. That is wrong and cult like. We all aren 't feet or hands as we make up the body. If God says to do it, we should. It should always be, what does the Bible say. In the total picture. To whom does a passage refer to and so on.
  • RNM ROM 1------14 on Romans 1 - 9 years ago
The Baptism, is an important part of Salvation, John the Baptist was actually baptizing before the Messiah 's crucifixion, for the remission or, cleansing of sin. After the Messiah was crucified there was something added to the meaning of the baptism, a deeper purpose for us to relate to, the death, burial, and resurrection. If you got any thing other than that from my comments is probably because I am replying to another person who posts frequent comments which are misleading and lies. There is no doubt young believers who reads these posts, puts there faith in them, I have seen it myself. this person is arrogant and vain in their own deceits puffed up to be someone they are not, like the screaming Pharisee on the street corner with their loud prayers, wanting to be heard by man and praised. But getting back to the Baptism, It really falls under Obedience like the Commandments, we are to be Obedient to to the Lord, You cannot follow after the commandments of man and their road to Hell paved with good intentions!
  • Joni G on Romans 1 - 9 years ago
Yes, just to say I believe God in my heart and believe in His power is not enough to save you. Otherwise, no verses would be in the Bible that ask believers to be baptized. All those people on the day of Pentecost and after would have never asked believers to repent and be baptized. They were filled with the Holy Spirit. They could not lie. Acts 22:16 Paul told the audience that Ananias asked him to be baptized and wash away his sins. Paul was still filled with the Holy Spirit. He could not have lied. Why did God ask Abraham to sacrifice his only son? Couldn 't Abraham have just said, I believe you God and not made the trip? Abraham had waited 20 years for the promise of a son. Is it too much to ask that we be baptized once we believe? I think not. We should follow and obey Jesus in anything he requires of us. God bless you RNM and all. May we all grow in the grace and knowledge of Him.

I don 't pretend to have all the answers, like some do, and I 'm not going to twist Gods word to suit my beliefs, I fear GOD to much.Faith and obedience should work hand in hand with each other, it is this faith and obedience and the power of the Holy Spirit that brings us to our Savior, and belief in Him, this is the first step to Salvation, believing in your heart, and confessing with your mouth, that Jesus is Lord, Acts 16:31-- And they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And again: Romans 10:13--For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. The point I 'm making to you! is there are some who twist Gods word and spread heretical lies, that are in denial of Gods Holy word and of this sort beware! II Corinthians 11: 14 And no marvel, for satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Verse " 15--Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to there works. AMEN!!

Hello John: The word of God is written to the saved, those individuals who have put on the name of Jesus Christ by following Acts 2: 38. Paul is speaking to the Roman church. In verse 17 the word just refers to the saved. If you read verse 16 you will get that understanding. This is not saying that people in general do not have faith. A person can have faith but alone it is dead. A person has to have works to make it alive. Just to believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and not follow Acts 2: 38, a person is still lost. The Bible states in James 2: 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone . The devils believe and tremble, James 2: 19 Thou believest that there is one God thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. So just believing is not enough. Just to say I believe in my heart and accept God this alone does not save you.

Hello Lenny: In addition to my 3 part post, please read under this section pages 1 and 2 where I made post about this subject.

Part 3 of 3: In regarding this scripture, this is referring to homosexuality, women with women and men with men in a sexually encounter. This is why God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, Jude 7: Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. You have to understand this is talking to people who are saved warning them of changing the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, Romans 1: 23. Man s wicked thoughts and lust of the flesh have brought about the despicable crimes against children.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Romans 1 - 9 years ago
Part 2 of 3: I have read that Judaism does not condone pedophilia even back in the biblical days. I have read that the Rabbis have stated the age of 18 to marry. Some people within the Jewish community, would like for them to marry when puberty set in, which is the age of 14. Pedophilia is a horrible abuse of superiority over a child either male or female. This is man s doing not God s. During my studies, I read that Mary the mother of Jesus was about 16 when she was betrothed to Joseph. There is still a debate about this age.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Romans 1 - 9 years ago
Part 1 of 3: Hello Lenny: God has never ordained the rape of children among mankind. Children do not even understand why they are here. They are in a state of innocence. They cannot give consent to anything. They cannot even talk when they are born. When you look at Adam and Eve they were adults. If they had been children then God would have said it. Adam was a man. Eve was a woman. A child is a child. A baby is a baby. Jesus Christ himself came through a woman not a child.

  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Romans 1 - 9 years ago
Hello Patricia I understand what you are saying. During this Grace age the Jews are subject to following Acts 2 38 in order to be saved also. The Dispensation of the Law ended when Jesus Christ was crucified, Romans 10 4. The Jews did not except Jesus Christ as their savior because they were blinded in part so that the Gentiles could be grafted in, Romans 11 25 "For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. The Orthodox Jew still practice the Law. There are some truly saved Jews during this time of Grace. In the end, the Jewish people are not above being saved according to Acts 2 38.
  • Patricia on Romans 1 - 9 years ago
My comment concerns the commentary regarding the Gentiles while I am definitely sure they are idolatrous Gentiles. What about the Jews? I mean they are also just as sinful. I mean they are stated only to be unbelieving. They have there own rituals and a history of unbelief. Wow they won 't except their own comming and his sacrifice on the cross for their sins. This should also state that they are filled up with themselves as one of the largest hypocrites. Please all of us are sinners no one is exempt and everyone should be called out on this as to what those problems are.

Part 2 of 2 Some scholars say that the second coming of Jesus Christ is split into two events one is the rapture and the second part is him coming back to Earth to reign for a thousand years and fight the last battle. In the end, the rapture is going to take place and the tribulation is going to take place and there is nothing anyone can do to stop them.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Romans 1 - 9 years ago
Part 1 of 2 Hello RNM If you look at the events in dispensations then there are still two events that are going to take place before the Great White Throne Judgment. The rapture first will be the ending to the Grace Age we are living in now. This is where Jesus Christ will be in the clouds calling his saints home. Those that have died and those that are alive and remain. These are the people who have taken on the name of Jesus Christ by following Acts 2 38. Then you have the tribulation period. Sometime before the Gog and Magog war, an angel will come and subdue the Devil and throw him into a bottomless pit. Jesus will then rule on this Earth for one thousand years. After those 1000 years, Satan will be loose and then the final battle is the Gog and Magog war.
  • RNM ROMANS CHP 1 on Romans 1 - 9 years ago
Immediately after the TRIBULATION of those days the sun would be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven shall be shaken and then shall appear a sign of the Son of man in Heaven and then ALL the tribes of Earth Mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. READ IT AGAIN IMMEDIATLY AFTER! we are going to go thru what ever God wills. AMEN. Don 't believe the LIE. THERE IS NO SECRET RAPTURE. before the tribulation
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Romans 1 - 9 years ago
Part 3 of 3 God has not changed. He is still pouring out his spirit upon all flesh. When God does not fill the people then they start making up all kind of stories to excuse why they did not get it. However, the simple truth is that they have not truly repented in their heart. One thing God cannot do and that is lie. His word is the truth. Therefore, when Peter stated on the day of Pentecost that the promise is for everyone, Acts 2 39 God still honors that today.
