"This is for Nabeel. If you study it out you'd find that Jesus spent 3 days and 3 nights amongst man.The clutches of the world before he started suffering for our sins. As far as your comment in Ezekiel, you forgot to keep it in context. when you read on you'll find "But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die." Ezekiel 18:21 Also for you Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, CHRIST DIED for us. God Bless"
"REGARDING VERSES 8-10: The difference between those of mankind that are born of God, and those that are not, is that those that are not have not received Christ. Until they do, they CANNOT repent in the way of true repentance. This is why no one need repent IN ORDER to receive Christ, since one CANNOT until and unless one does, and this is why the gifts and the calling are WITHOUT repentance. Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. As, it is the love and GOODNESS OF GOD in Christ that LEADS a man unto repentance. Romans 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the GOODNESS OF GOD leadeth thee to repentance? Romans 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the LOVE OF GOD, which is IN Christ Jesus our Lord. Yet, we are still all brothers in Christ, regardless of those that have not received Him from and with their hearts so that He may be IN them. As, He died for ALL, even for those who are considered to be SINNERS as we were before we recieved Him. ROMANS 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:15 And that he DIED FOR ALL, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. Also, while we that are born of God cannot commit sin, as far as WITH the 'mind of Christ,' which is God, and which we have, we CAN sin WITH THE FLESH, by yielding to sin, and thereby serving sin. ROMANS 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then WITH the MIND I myself serve the law of God; but WITH the FLESH the law of sin. The MIND refered to is NOT the CARNAL mind, whch is FLESH: Romans 8:7 Because the CARNAL MIND is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. But the MIND of Christ, which is SPIRIT: Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 1 Corinthians 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the MIND OF CHRIST. Although we CAN sin, that NEW CREATURE we each are in Christ CANNOT. If we serve sin with our flesh, thereby LETTING sin have it's way, we are allowing our OWN WILL, instead of God's to take control. However, having the MIND of CHRIST, God HIMSELF gave us HIS WILL to resort to, meaning we can SAY NO to our own fleshly; carnal, will, and turn it back to the WILL of God: Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both TO WILL and to do of his good pleasure. That 'TO WILL' is one of the gifts of the Spirit of God, PRAISE GOD, He has made it EASY on us: Romans 6:12 LET NOT sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. We are GODLY because we have RECEIVED, and have continued to LOVE, Christ, DESPITE our inclination to yield to sin, and thus we REMAIN IN Him, having our sins COVERED by His BLOOD, giving us grace, and time, to repent of any sin/s we have not yet repented of, and receive the forgiveness for, the and cleansing away, of our sins the moment we repent. It is BECAUSE we have received Christ, and ARE thus SPIRIT BEINGS; SPIRIT of God's Spirit; BORN of God, that we, despite our sins, are GODLY, and it is BECAUSE we are GODLY that we CAN, and, by God, we WILL repent of; CONFESS, our sins unto the LORD. Hear this Old Testament prophetic prayer that clarifies that the GODLY are inclined to sin, as far as to yield to it, and to HAVE SIN to admit to, and confess, unto the LORD. And as you read, take note that the GODLY are those that, DESPITE their sins, TRUST IN THE LORD, are BLESSED, RIGHTEOUS, UPRIGHT IN HEART, COMPASSED ABOUT WITH MERCY, AND SONGS OF DELIVERANCE, and HID in Christ, HID from the WRATH of God, as the blood of Christ covers our sins: PSALMS 32:2 BLESSED is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. 3 When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long. 4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah. 5 I ACKNOWLEDGED my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I WILL confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. 6 For THIS shall EVERY one that is GODLY pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him. 7 Thou art my HIDING place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt COMPASS ME ABOUT with songs of DELIVERANCE. Selah. 8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. 9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee. 10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, MERCY shall COMPASS HIM ABOUT. 11 Be glad IN the LORD, and rejoice, ye RIGHTEOUS: and shout for joy, all ye that are UPRIGHT IN HEART. NONE of this means that a born again child of God can serve sin, and refuse to repent, and still be saved in the end. God's Word warns us. God is a just God, warning the righteous to NOT forsake Him, and warning the unrighteous to turn unto Him. In the meanwhile, prior to physically dying, which if one that received Christ dies with any sins being unrepented of, then that person had to have ceased to LOVE the righteousness of God, which is Christ Jesus. And that soul will be cut off from Him: Colossians 1:23 If ye CONTINUE IN the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister; 1 Timothy 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; CONTINUE IN them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. ROMANS 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? Romans 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou CONTINUE in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. Even if we yield to sin, to, at that point NEED to repent, IN ORDER TO continue in the goodness of God, it is God's GOODNESS that, at that point, LEADS us UNTO repentance. So, what is the problem if we serve sin, if we WILL, however eventually, repent? Well, in the meanwhile we get bombarded with lies and feelings of DOUBT that we ARE godly, righteous, blessed, etc., and we start THINKING as if we are NOT these things, and our JOY and CONFIDENCE becomes less and less. THAT is how Satan WANTS us to think and feel. But since Christ has died for our sins, Satan can NOT any longer make us his servants, and KEEP us in bondage to sin. It is NO LONGER Satan's grounds; jurisdiction; right. As, NOW, it is only WE, YOU YOUSELF, I MYSELF, that can keep us, you, me, being a servant to, in bondage to, sin, meaning we can STOP IT, REFUSE IT, by turning unto the LORD to repent, and thereby be cleansed and receive the forgiveness of God INSTANTLY, and then PROCEED to CONTINUE in obedience unto the Lord. Any time we yield to sin, the FIRST STEP before we can continue to WALK in the Lord, is down on our knees, heartfully speaking, and repent. Is NOT repenting of our sins INSTILLED in the VERY prayer that Jesus instructs us to pray DAILY? LUKE 11:3 Give us day by day our DAILY bread. 4 And FORGIVE US OUR SINS; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. When we hate sin, and are quick to repent of it, AND read; eat and drink, the Word; WORDS, of God, the less and less we are inclined to sin, as the LOVE OF GOD perfects us more and more each day. But, due to the danger of our continuing in sin; putting of repentance, God loves us TOO much to not deal with us here and now for our own good, not according to our sins, which the wages of is death, but in order to correct us, and keep us from the dangers of being in sin: 1 Corinthians 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and CHASTEN: be zealous therefore, and repent. Hebrews 12:8 But if ye be without CHASTISEMENT, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. ROMANS 12:4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. 5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. 11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. 12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; 13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed ________________________________________________ I will end with saying this unto all those that have received Christ; God's Word; God's RIGHTEOUSNESS, and who are therefore GODLY, RIGHTEOUS, who's righteousness is of the LORD, that, if you have sin, to date, that you have not repented of; have not acknowledged; admitted, and confessed, unto the LORD, here's the thing: You WILL. It's far better for you to not force your heavenly Father to HAVE to sorely chastise you, because He WILL if need be. And you know full well in your heart that, when it comes to where the rubber meets the road, should you be chastised of Him, you will NOT blaspheme Him as if He is unjust, or as if He does not love you (there IS no if,) but you will stand corrected, and repent of your sins before Him. So, knowing you WILL, why wait? There is no good reason to wait, and nothing but MANY good reasons to come clean NOW. Until you do, you, as far as the NEW CREATURE you are in Christ in your Innerman, has fallen asleep at the wheel so to speak, and is either in a spiritual coma, or is getting that way, and the LORD is calling you to WAKE UP! Don't you worry, if He has to SHAKE you, He will, since the longer you ignore Him, the more deaf your spiritual ears get. And don't believe the lies of the devil telling you 'But you messed up AGAIN, and have repeately, and God's tired of hearing you repent,...' As, first of all, if you are a MESS, you are your heavenly FATHER'S mess, and NONE of Satan's business whatsoever. You ARE upright, but it is Christ that is bearing you up. The moment you repent, it is embracing the One that holds you up. Psalms 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: NO good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. 2 Corinthians 5:15 And that he DIED FOR ALL, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. "
"Verse 21 says \"And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.\" It doesn\'t say whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord, and be baptized, and attend an Apostolic Pentecostal Church. If you read the entire New Testament it doesn\'t even say you HAVE to be baptized to go to heaven. There are verses that speak of baptism as being an important step of faith, but not a requirement for heaven. The man on the cross with Jesus was told by Jesus himself that he would be with him in Heaven, and he was never baptized or attended an Apostolic Pentecostal Church. While baptism is important to the Christian life, and attending a correct bible preaching church is what God wants for our life (not a denomination preference, but a right church) the ONLY key to salvation and heaven is accepting Jesus\' payment for our sins. Read John 3:16, Romans 5:8, Romans 10:9-10 and Romans 13, and none specify anything other than belief in Jesus as our savior. Baptism, church membership and daily bible reading and prayer are vitally important parts of Christian life, but the only key to heaven is Jesus himself."
"Not my verses, God\'s Word. It does not matter what I think. It matters what He says. Romans 5:8, Eph. 2:8-9, Romans 5:1. Someone may say \"then just accept Christ and do whatever you want. God cannot be decieved. He sees our hearts and our motives. Romans 6:1. Works are what we do for Him because we love him. His baseline expection for me: Rom 12:1-2 Of course it is more complex than that... But for salvation we need to come simply, as a child... with childlike faith."
"\"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.\" (Romans 5:8) Have you ever been in the presence of someone whose behavior made you want to pull back from them? Naturally, you did not desire to be around them. You did not want to extend yourself out to that one. In other words, you did not want to love that person. You also know this person cannot love you. They may relate to you, but, as they are they cannot love. You feel this is a one-sided relationship. You love, they do not. It does not sound like a relationship you want to invest in. It does not sound like a person you want \"to love.\" But, that is Christ\'s love. That is God\'s love. When we were very unlovely, God loved us. When we could not love God, He loved us. When we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. That is love. That is the love wherewith we are to love one another."
"Matthew, let me share something with you. We\'ve all made mistakes in life and we all experience some level of guilt and fear of judgment. But let me tell you that Jesus Christ shed his blood on the cross to pay for all your sins. We can never have joy and fulfillment in life just by having good morals and following rules, because we still fall short of God\'s perfect standard (Romans 3:23). The peace that we all seek is found in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary (Romans 5:8). Place your faith fully in Him to forgive you of your past, present, and future sins. Salvation from Hell can only be found when we come to the realization that we are hopeless and helpless apart from God\'s saving grace. Call on him for Salvation as Romans 10:13 admonishes - \"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved\". Then you can have freedom from sin and condemnation as Romans 8:1 tells us - \"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus\". If you have any questions about these comments, please ask. I want everyone to know the peace that Christ brings. \"Matthew\'s Matthew Chapter 19 comment on 6/29/2012, 1:26am... I will admit I am afraid of judgment because I\'ve made mistakes in my life. I can\'t remember everything but I wish I could take back many of the hurtful things I\'ve said. I have accepted God into my life but my family does not know I have. I have good morals and follow rules and I do not want to go to Hell but I am still afraid...\""
"Romans 5:8 - It escapes my human comprehension to think that God, even before the foundation of the world, had us in His master plan and made provision for our escape from hell through the death of His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, on the cross of Calvary. His thoughts towards us, children of men are so bountiful that we should always stand in awe when we think of what would have happened if God, in His mercy, did not first love us."
"God sanctified us in Jesus Christ. A new creature, a clean thing out of an unclean. \"But God commanded his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.\" (Romans 5:8). \"And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;\" (Ephesians 2:1). He washed us clean with the blood of Lord Jesus."
"Jehovah-my God and my Rock! Jehovah God loves his name. It is written over 7000 times just in the hebrew scriptures alone old testiments. Many do not care much about the name because they do not know the person behind the name. They also have no clue what Jehovah\'s name mean. Jehovah\'s name means Exodus 3:14 I will become what I choose to become or I will prove to be what I shall prove to be.\" This shows Jehovah becomes what is needed in each circumstance to fulfill his purpose. His name is not limited to what he himself choose to become. It also concludes what he causes to happen w/regard to his creation and the accomplishment of his purpose.\" Jehovah loves his name and he loves his creation. However, we think so much of ourselves that we hurt the one personage that really wants the best for us. If u do not believe me, take the time to observe everything that was created by him. Everything, I mean everything is wonderfully made and they are all for us to live and to enjoy life. Jehovah is self sufficient, he needs nothing. If that does not convince u, read and meditate on Romans 5:8. Before we even choose to serve him, befriend him, or even acknowledge his exsistence, he sent his best friend and firsr born Son in order to liberate/free us under the slavery of sin and death. How many people do u know would do that w/out hesitation? When they knew u may or may not appreciate wat they did. I am proud to be one of Jehovah\'s Witnesses. Wouldn\'t change it for the world. Jehovah is the TRUE God and there is no other! Being a witness Jehovah obligates me to defend him and speak in his behalf just as Jesus, the first true witness did...(Rev 3:15 & John 17:6) Get to him... u will not regret it."
"\"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.\" (Genesis 1:1) \"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.\" (John 1:1-3) \"And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made.\" (Genesis 1:31-2:3) Because God is God, He never tires, but yet the Bible says, \"He rested.\" The word \"rest\" in the dictionary means to refresh oneself. The word \"refresh\" means to revive or to stimulate as to memory. The word \"stimulus\" means: anything that rouses the mind or spirit. \"Rouse\" means to excite to vigorous thought or action; stir up. \"Vigorous\"- mental vigor. \"Vigor\"- effective force; validity. \"Validity\"- state of being valid. \"Valid\" means: based on evidence that can be supported; acceptable; convincing... When God rested, He didn\'t stop for to regain His strength. No... He stopped to appreciate the validity of His creation...His completed work, for: \"it was very good.\" After the fall of man, God saw that the WORLD needed a savior. \"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.\" (John 1:14) \"Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as His mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, GOD WITH US.\" (Matthew 1:18-23) This is just a short history of the God of all creation and how He was born into this world. It is very appropriate that five days from now the WORLD will celebrate His birth, but His birth is not the reason for the season...\"For God so loved the WORLD, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.\" (John 3:16)The reason for the season is in His death, burial, and resurrection. \"For God so loved the WORLD...\" The word \"world\" in the English dictionary means: The earth; the universe; the cosmos. Earth- the abode of mortal man, as apposed to heaven and hell. Universe- the collective of all existing things; the whole creation embracing all celestial bodies and all of space; the cosmos. Cosmos- the world or universe considered as an orderly system; any harmonious and complete system. Everybody, including myself, believe that, \"For God so loved WORLD...\" meant that, for God so loved mankind, \"that He gave His only begotten Son...\" Now considering ALL that He created, it would seem somewhat arrogant to say that God\'s only begotten Son was given as God\'s perfect, blameless, and sinless Lamb to solely die for the sins of mankind. We know God to be all forgiving. We also know that after the completion of His creation, He said, \" was very Good.\" ALL was very good, no exceptions, which means that the heavenly hosts, His created angels were ALL good, until the fall of Lucifer...because sin entered his heart. I believe that when sin entered Lucifer, sin entered the WORLD (the universe), like a cancer which needed to be defeated. So when God decided to isolate the cancer (sin) in the WORLD, He gave up His only begotten Son as a sacrifice to die on the cross on Earth, because God has casted Lucifer down to Earth and is where the devil is allowed to spread his cancer. I believe that God\'s sacrifice is so great that when Jesus died for the sins of the WORLD, that it covered the sins of the entire universe. I believe that when Jesus died for the forgiveness of sins, it covered ALL whom sinned against God, including Lucifer and ALL that followed him. Does this mean that because ALL are forgiven, ALL are going to heaven? I\'m afraid not. In order for one to be given eternal life in heaven, one must know that they have sinned against a holy God. \"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.\" (Romans 3:23) And because of our sin, our penalty is death. \"For the wages of sin is death;...\" (Romans 6:23a) \"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.\" (Revelation 20:14) If it ends here, then there is no hope for us ALL, because the WORLD (the universe) as we know it will be infected by the cancer of our sins, and because God would not allow this cancer to spread throughout the WORLD (the cosmos)...ALL that follow the devil will end up in hell! You are probably asking...IS THAT FAIR!? Why should we go to hell!? After all the devil is the cause of our sins! Again, I\'m afraid to say, the devil doesn\'t force us to do anything. He tempts us with sin, and because of our week condition in the flesh, we bite and therefore, we sin against God. And because God is an Holy and Just God, He must judge sin accordingly, and the payment of sin is death. So, because we have broken His commandments, we deserve hell. BUT \"...God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.\" (Romans 5:8) AND \"...the GIFT of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord.\" (Romans 6:23b) On another bible account, \"Jesus saith unto him, I am THE WAY, THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE: no man cometh unto the Father, BUT BY ME.\" (John 14:6) This simply means that THE only through the Lord Jesus Christ and that nothing...not religion...nor baptism...nor being a good person...nor even being a preacher...can save a person from hell. THE found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, \"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to EVERY ONE that BELIEVETH...\" (Romans 1:16a) And THE found only in the Lord Jesus Christ, \"Jesus said...I am the resurrection, and THE LIFE: he that BELIEVETH in me, though he were dead, yet shall he LIVE.\" FOR \"...God so loved the WORLD, that He GAVE His only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVETH in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.\" (John 3:16) So you see there is more to this famous verse than meets the eye! Yes, God...GAVE...His only begotten Son, but not enough thine HEART the Lord Jesus Christ, because it\'s a HEART matter and a matter of the HEART...and once you believe, then you must...ACCEPT...Him as your Savior. \"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt BELIEVE in thine HEART that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the HEART man BELIEVETH unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.\" (Romans 10:9,10,13) On this Christmas season, have you received the \"GIFT.\" If not why don\'t you bow your HEART to the LORD and humble yourself before God, and pray something like this: Dear God, I am coming to you the best way I know how. I know I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus died for my sins on the cross and was buried and rose from the dead on the third day. Please, God, forgive me for my sins. I am asking now, Jesus, come into my life, save my soul, and be my personal Lord and Savior. I am trusting you and you alone to take to heaven one day when I die. I ask these things in Jesus\' name. Amen."
"Good works alone will not get us to heaven, in fact works has nothing to do with salvation. We are saved by God's grace alone. Salvation is a free gift from the Lord, and our works after that are our choice-though God does expect us to live by the book. Because of our sin, we are separated from God. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 The Penalty for our sin is death. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 The penalty for our sin was paid by Jesus Christ! But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 If we repent of our sin, then confess and trust Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we will be saved from our sins! For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 ...if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9,10"
"Irene123 This great salvation, this genuine salvation is nothing but the Gospel (Good News) of Christ. The death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior. Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Read Romans 10:9-13. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.""
"John 18:40 Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus came to die for all sinners. Jesus is the redeemer."
"I can't see where Romans 5:8 says don't thank me thank the one who is before me . JESUS said this somewhere , where ?"
"In reality, it was each one of us who put Jesus to death. Our sins killed Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21. Also, read Romans 5:8 Matthew 27:22-25 Matthew 27:27-37. The \"they\" are all of mankind from the beginning of time. We all were born sinners in God\'s eyes, so Jesus Christ is asking the Father to forgive them for they know not what they do. Luke 23:34."

""Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you".We must conceive of the words, Luke 6:27 and Luke 6:28, as having been pronounced with some kind of enthusiasm. These precepts overflow with Love. You have only to meet every manisfestation of hatred with a fresh manisfestation of love. Romans 12:21 and Romans 5:8-10 KJV."
"Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 10: 9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and thy shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Verse 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. I pray the Lord will reveal Himself in a mighty way. Holy Spirit please bless. In Jesus name. Amen"
"When the sermons make you feel that you are a bad person, that is the Holy Spirit convicting you of your need for Jesus Christ as your Savior. The Bible says plainly that we are all sinners. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Jesus Christ died for us. Admit to God your sinful state, believe in your heart that Jesus, God's son, sacrificed himself for you on the cross, and ask Jesus to come into your life as Savior and Lord. I will be praying for you."
"Revelation 19:13, clearly names Jesus as the Word of God. The blood of Christ one of the most important doctrinal teachings found in the Word of God. It is through the shedding of Christ's blood that WE can: Learn of God's and Christ's great love for us Be declared innocent from our many heinous sins Be delivered from the eternal wrath of Almighty God Be brought into communion with a Holy God. Be saved from eternal death and granted eternal life. Romans 5:8-10 - "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his BLOOD, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life." No wonder His shed blood holds a core position of importance in both the Old Testament and the New Testament, it is the only hope for a person's salvation, receipt of other spiritual blessings and eternal security with Him. Sadly, many today will minimize the importance of the death and shed blood of Christ. It has been done throughout NT times and will continue to be done until Christ comes again. Anytime that we minimize what Christ has done for us (whether by word or action) after we have mentally received the truth about its importance, it is a sign of a lost condition and increased responsibility at the final judgment."
"This is literally mansions the Lord Jesus is talking about. Jesus is talking here. He even said "if it were not so, I would have told you." God is always true with His word and God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfil? - Number 23:19 When the Lord says I am free then I am free. For He says, "So if the Son sets you free you will be free indeed." - John 8:36 That's why Paul says, "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace." - Ephesians 1:7 Why can't we believe a God who chose to die for the sins of many so we can attain the life everlasting? It could have been us who should be on that cross but no. Because of His richness in grace and mercy "God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us". - Romans 5:8 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord - Romans 6:23 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him - 2 Corinthians 5:21 God chose to love us even we are unlovable. We are wretched people and we need a saviour cause there is no good in us; No one is righteous, no! not one. - Romans 3:10 What shall it profit me if I gained the whole world and lose my own soul? - Mark 8:36 It is better for me to be in His courts than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked - Psalms 84:10 For it is appointed for men, us, to die once but after this is judgment. Death is real. Hell is real. That's why God sent Jesus once and for all to die for many once. He is not going to do it again. That is why we need a Saviour. We can only be saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Are you ready to receive Him?"
"Faith comes by hearing the word of God and believing to the point of trust: Jesus is the Word, made flesh; He is alive today by the word ( the Bible). He not a man that he should lie!! - He is the Truth at all times. He fullfilled the plan of God for everyone JOHN 3:16. Oh! ,what a Gift - Life and being reconciled to our Father. (please read Romans chapter 5) Joy will cause jumping .,skipping and crying, but this joy ALSO gives peace ,down on the inside because of the truth (He gave us his Word ) So when the devil come in the middle of the night to accuse you, He(the devil) is doing what he got put out of heaven for.(Revelation12:10 ). It's not knowing in your intelligence what Jesus has done for you, but in your spirit by the word of God; then receive it, into your heart that it may grow in your born-again spirit And if you believe and know by how your life has changed from within (your desires has changed) Just think Born Again-Old things passed away- a babe in Christ- seek the word like a baby seeks milk - eat it!!!!!!! the word..A new baby dont try to figure it out He/she is just happy to be your case alive in Christ ;because without Christ there is no Life....I thank God and His son, Jesus for you, The Angel rejoice at your salvation ,Me too...rejoice with us..for the gift you have received you are saved by graced..that not of yourself. It had nothing to do with what you did or didnt do...Its not your righteousnes that makes us acceptable but the imputed righteousness of our Savior Jesus The Christ..It was by faith in the word...and the work of Jesus on the Cross. The devil is Lying again !!! Read:Romans 5:8 - St John 17 chapt. Ephesian 2:8 Ephesian2:5..Jesus knows our end back to the beginning.....REJOICE! .REJOICE ! LET US ALL HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAYS..IT'S ONLY ONE CHURCH- FIND YOURSELF IN THE 7; REVELATION 1-3 Lets Pay special attention to the church in Sardis"
"The reason the sin was unpardonable is that by blaspheming the Holy Ghost they were deliberately rejecting their only means of salvation. This is analogous to refusing the lifeline that could save you from drowning. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. (Romans 5:8-10)"
"Sin is offensive to God. But God loves the sinner. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us"
"What is our part in God's plan of salvation for the lost? Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God (2 Corinthians 5:20). you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth (Acts 1:8). Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). And he said to them, Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned (Mark 16:15-16). But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). And we likewise are to share God's love with others. Hopefully the unsaved will Repent you therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out (Acts 3:19). We are called upon by God to be His representatives to the world, spreading His gospel, that we may demonstrate His love to the lost that they to may be saved. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these (Mark 12:30-31). The greatest way we can show God's love to others is to spread God's saving gospel - by evangelizing. Without evangelism - spreading the Word of God, billions of souls would have never known the sweat salvation of God. God uses us, if we obey, to bring Him lost souls. If the lost condition of this world is on your heart, log in some prayer time with the Holy Spirit. Jesus sent the disciples out by 2's. Study how Jesus ministered to the lost. Mishael"
"Philippians 2:5 the scripture says let this mind be in you, which was also in christ jesus. christ died for us while we were yet sinners. romans 5:8."
"Thank you Robynn for your comments/questions & if I may respond. 1. Indeed, God's Love for all mankind is so immense & unfathomable that He continued to engage with us even when everything about us warranted our complete extermination. But that Love persisted as we read in Romans 5:8; 2 Peter 3:9. 2, 3, 4. 1 Peter 3:18-20. The focus in this passage is on 'the Spirit'. The same Spirit that brought Jesus back alive from the dead was also by the same means (i.e. the Spirit) that Jesus went to the spirits held in prison. Now, this is the only passage we have on this visit by Jesus, though there are references to spirits in chains (Jude 6; Revelation 20:1-3). And I realize that many Christians attempt to place the event in 1 Peter 3, to Jesus' visit at the time of His death. It could well be but we cannot be certain of this as we are simply given very limited detail. And in the context of Peter's writing, this visit was not his focus. All we know is that Jesus did visit at some point & specifically to those who were disobedient in the days of Noah; when that took place is not revealed. And "how much does God love people?" As mentioned, His Love knows no bounds. But His pure Love equates to His pure Justice. And if we think that God's Love must also allow for sinners, whether they've come under the sound of the Gospel or not, to have a second chance to hear, repent & receive, then what is the point of preaching the Gospel now, why did the apostles & myriads of other faithful saints suffer brutally & horrible deaths, if there was a second opportunity for lost souls? "Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." - no second chances, no purgatory."
"Always remember the gospel which is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJV) "[1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; [2] By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. [3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; [4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" Also by the way Romans 5:8-11 "[8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. [9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. [10] For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. [11] And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement." There by believing on the gospel of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 we are reconciled to the Lord Jesus Christ by his sinless blood."
"Linda, to answer your question simply put, no. Jesus said in (John 3:3) "Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he can not see the kingdom of God." meaning that we must some how be reborn to go to heaven. Some will assert that (John 3:5) shows that we must be baptized by water, and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit to be saved, This is easily refuted with scripture. Remember God cannot lie (Titus 1:2) Therefore, Scripture cannot contradict itself. If God required baptism for salvation, then Jesus Christ lied to the thief on the cross. (Luke 23:43) Jesus IS God (John 1:1). He CANNOT lie. God made the way to heaven very simple, so easy that even a child can understand and accept. It is not based on our works (Ephesians 2:8-9) but on our faith in Christ and His FINISHED work on the cross. We must first understand that we are a sinner in need of a Savior. (Romans 3:23) ... When we see that there is a penalty for our sin. (Romans 6:23) That we cannot pay the penalty on our own, but Jesus Christ, loved us so much that He came, lived the perfect life, fulfilled the law, and became sin for us on the cross to pay our sin debt for us. (Romans 5:8) Then believing the gospel by faith, we accept the GIFT of God, confess our belief in Him, and ask Him to save us. (Romans 10:9-13) There are MEN who will take God's gift and want to say that in order to receive it you will need to do this or that, but whenever we add WORKS to the equation the GIFT ceases to be a gift. Repentance is a turning from self and a turning toward Christ."
"You only go to hell if you do not believe Jesus is son of God and that he died on the cross for your sins. You see nothing you do can make God love you any less or any more. Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. There is multiple other verses about how Gods love for us is unending you just need to read through the Bible and see how great Gods love for you is."
"While the promise referenced was directed to Jeremiah, we as believers benefit from the same loving kindness of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ: But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. (Romans 5:8-10) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8:28-29) What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? (Romans 8:31-32) Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (1 Peter 5:6-7) Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (2 Peter 1:2-4)"
"Clarence, What sweet questions! To be saved is to be reconciled to God. In our present state, we are at enmity with God. God is perfect and God is just, we are sinners and fallen. But God devised a way for us to be brought back into a relationship with Him: Romans 5:9-10: 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. You are saved by acknowledging your sin and its penalty: All have sinned: Romans 3:23: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God The Penalty for sin is death: Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Acknowledging that Jesus Christ died to pay for your sins. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Repenting for your sins: Luke 13:3: I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. - That is a promise. Just tell God that you are a sinner, in need of salvation...and that you believe Jesus Christ died for you and that you want to repent of your sins and that you want Him to save you. I will be praying for you Clarence! Dear Lord, please grant Clarence the clarity needed to come to you. Thank you that he is searching Lord, and thank you for giving Him the courage to ask these questions. I pray that he will be saved Lord, and that he will be able to rejoice in that salvation. In Jesus' name...Amen."
"Page 1. Thank you Sacha - I welcome all responses, as whatever is shared, unless completely in opposition to God's Word, can be useful for our knowledge & spiritual growth in the things & ways of God. So I agree, God did choose to have His Son born through a human, even though all humans are imputed with a sinful nature. And yes, I believe there was a reason for doing so. At the foundation of Jesus' arrival & His Sacrifice, lies the unfathomable Love of God for mankind: John 3:16 & Romans 5:8 attest to it. To His people, Israel, that Love extended to the institution of the Law & the sacrificial system, so that through its performance, God's Anger against their sin was appeased & His Love declared in providing them a way out: a blood sacrifice was needed (through a pure spotless animal) so that life was paid for life (a substitutionary payment: Mark 10:45; 1 Peter 3:18). But that was for a time until Jesus came to fulfil the Will of God His Father (Hebrews 10:5-10). Since the animal sacrifices were temporary because of their inability to fully address the sin issue, they had to be a continual sacrifice, they gave no relief to man's consciences & never fulfilled God's eternal Plan, so at "the due time" God sent His Son to fully meet those shortcomings. God could have sent a specially created Lamb to fulfil this work or as some believe, a specially created Human to lay down His Life for sinners. So why didn't God do this? Ultimately, the reason for this is in the Mind of God, but no doubt His Love for all, His requirement for a Perfect Sacrifice that fulfilled all His Demands & that there would be no further need nor better option to accomplish that Will, are a few of my thoughts. John 15:13 says, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." Was not Jesus intimating that the fullest expression of Love is seen in one's unreserved willingness to sacrifice his own life because of the love for another?"

"And while we all sin and fall short of the glory of God, He is always here, waiting for us to come back to Him. All we need do is humble ourselves, bow our heads, ask for His forgiveness, confess His good name, and be baptized into the body of Christ. Washing away the sins of our former, sinful life, and being raised, washed in the blood of the Lamb. We are now forgiven and live a new life as Christians. Our only obligation is to leave that old life behind and walk the "straight and narrow" way which leads to our eternal reward. I've just realized how much I've "shared." I give thanks to God, from whom all blessings flow, for blessing me each day of my life. I love our Lord. I know you do, too. Have a blessed day! <3"

"TRUTH. Not only a truth but THE TRUTH"
"We need to return to torah! Not to be saved but because if we love YHWH we will keep His commandments... what are His commandments? The torah! The prophet's job was not to tell the future but the call YHWH's people back to the torah and to obedience to it. IF the people refused to repent THEN the almighty told them what would happen in the future. When it was said in 2 Chronicles for us to humble ourselves and turn from our wicked ways it meant to return to torah.. So if we as a nation repent and turn back to the law of YHWH then He will forgive us and heal the land.... I know this sounds foreign but there's an ancient text of Matthew found in ancient Hebrew where Jesus says that those who sit in Moses seat make rules and not to do what they do but do as Moses told you to do... the Pharisees didn't keep Moses' law. They kept their own rules and believed they had sole authority to do so. Jesus said not to follow their rules but to keep law of Moses. I believe He meant before and after His death.... He never ever said before or after His death and resurrection that we were to toss the law of Moses aside. Matthew 23:2. I'll post a video below of a man who was a modern day Pharisee and he has studied the Hebrew book of Matthew and explains this in detail."
"We will always be sinners, until Christ comes back, and that is VERY SOON. Just after the worst time in mankinds history. Most Christians will die."
