Revelation Chapter 8 Discussion

    Revelation 7.

We need to consider the conditions that will be in effect; therefore once this mark is finally enforced compared to today. There are many that will decry injustices of the rich and proud of the earth; and in the right spirit; rightly so as we see warnings in the book of James for those who hoard gold and silver as well as cheat others in the last days. Many of these who speak out against society hardly work a day of their lives and live in ivory towers; giving a portion of excess wealth much as the Pharisees to look good. Some don't; my point is that those privileged in America; for example will find things far different as much of the developed world right after the Rapture; which comes on a day we don't expect like the days of Noah or Sodom and Gomorrah. After that event there will be mass starvation and as my earlier posts stated war; famine and pestilence. My point here is that those who think that the earth in that compromised a state will offer any utopia compared to the promises the Antichrist will offer in the first seal timeframe will not be a very convincing message for taking the mark to avoid starvation. It appears more of a "red herring" to offer the little that remains to the wicked; to the righteous at that point they will either be in hiding protected by God or quickly martyred and disposed of by the Antichrist beast system. At that point too; Satan will have used the 10 nation allies to burn the woman with fire ( Rev. 17:16). That woman will be the false Babylon "whore" world religion.

Satan demands and desires worship only for himself; the world will be so enamored with his apparent resurrection that they will all believe the Lie ( 2 Thess. 2:11). This will be the point where men will stop fearing God and hiding from him; and outright blaspheme (curse) His name as their leader will do. Therefore; it is worship of his image that causes them to take the mark; which could be an injection of DNA from the beast to be immortal

    Revelation 7 commentary.

Once again here; we see incense of the prayers of the saints going up (verse 3) before judgment of God commences--in this case the trumpet judgments; and the first the seals.

This indicates either after the spirits of those martyred (great multitude) or translated (2 Prophets/144,000) in the previous chapter that were praying and/or those already in heaven (us). This fascinating insight reveals that even though God's judgments were predetermined proportionate to sins committed; in time and space when the offenses reach a pinnacle they are sort of triggered by prayers of the saints. This interaction shows how even now with Christ as high Priest ever interceding for the saints ( Heb. 4:14-16) that there is always an interplay between Him and His Body; the church and all saints. I should also note the silence in heaven after the seventh seal with no apparent judgment but intersection into the next series of judgments is a sort of ceremonial procession preceding the main event where there is perhaps a brief event honoring the multitude that just arrived in heaven who "no man can number" ( Rev. 7:9).

The rest of the chapter from verse 7 onward describes the first four trumpets. We see the repeated pattern of a "third" of things being destroyed which certainly can be a not so veiled message to the third of the angels that fell and are about to be cast down to earth from heaven after these events. That; and those demons released from UNDER the earth (likely offspring from Nephilim and/or other fallen beings that were given special early imprisonment under the earth for extra sins) will all show how things will get even worse as the angel warns in verse 13.

It would appear that until the 5th trumpet; the 2 prophets hold back things. Once the beast comes out of the pit and enters Antichrist; many will have already died.

Jon, trumpets don't keep time, they are the voice of God.

Revelation 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great VOICE, as of a TRUMPET.

Revelation 4:1 .... an the first VOICE I heard was as if it were a TRUMPET talking with me ....

Revelation Chapter's 8 & 9 comprise a section of the Bible that readers have little scope of. The first 4 trumpets in Chapter 8, were wars fought throughout modern history. They are briefly brushed over because the last 3 trumpets, 5, 6 & 7, in Chapter 9, count as cataclysmic. Trumpets keep time.

    Herbert,

The angel is declaring these woeful warnings because of the pending doom that the other angels have yet to announce.
  • Herbert on Revelation 8 - 3 years ago
    e.

13And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

Did the angel flying say all from woe to sound.

On the opening of the 7th seal (year 2000) there will be silence for 1/2 hour. 1/2 hour of silence in Heaven equals roughly 20 years on earth. COVID is the first of many plagues that are going to be unleashed on the earth. Hold tight people things are about to get real ugly!

Jesus is God is not a figure of speech 1 Timothy 3:16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. GOD WITH US.

Genesis 1:26 - And God said, Let US make man in our image, after OUR likeness

Genesis 1:27 - So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 9:6 - Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

So IF one man is Body, Soul and Spirit which is 3 parts and God made man in HIS IMAGE

How many parts is God? 3? a Godhead? or trinity?

1 Thessalonians 5:23 - And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Paul says spirit and soul and body)

Isaiah 10:18 - And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standardbearer fainteth. (Body and Soul different)

Matthew 10:28 - Jesus said: And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. ..........destroy both soul and body in hell.

Isaiah 26:9 - With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. (Soul and Spirit are different)

Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, ....

    Darlene, concerning those taken first.

    Again, well presented.

The words of Matthew 13:36-43, Matthew 24:40-41, and Luke 17:34-35 reveal that the people TAKEN FIRST are taken by Satan.

Many understand this in the complete opposite way.
  • John L - In Reply on Revelation 8 - 3 years ago
    Darlene,

Concerning Jesus and God being two separate entities.

    Very well explained.

God and Jesus are NOT the same entity.

    John 10:30

"I and My Father are One"

The word "One" is the Greek word "hen" and is given in the neutral form of speech. This means that they are one in "essence" not one person, which would be in the masculine form of speech, and would use the Greek word "heis."

If the words of John 10:30 are to be taken literally, what do people that believe this do with John 10:29 (as well as ALL other verses, including the ones you mention)?

"My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father's hand."

I suppose this means "I, which gave them Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My hand."

And John 10:30 would have to read; "I and Myself are One."

Seems like a lot of explaining has to be done here for these statements to make sense if God is Jesus and Jesus is God.

And please don't try and say that Jesus is God in flesh. Again, the understanding of figures of speech must be taken account for.

I would not want to be in the unenviable position of trying to uphold a position as truth while I am denying proper grammar and plain Scripture that is using OBVIOUS figures of speech.

Not a page of the word of God can be turned without the use of Figures of Speech."

Figures of speech are a LEGAL part of English grammar that follow rules, not something that is arbitrarily used by the reader whenever he or she feels the urge.

Taking literal what God states as figurative and taking figurative what God is states is literal is a fundamental reason why people misunderstand the word of God.

    Darlene,

There are many verses that prove Jesus is God. John 1:1 states that Jesus is God. In Hebrews 1:8, Jesus is called God. Jesus Himself claimed to be God. Jesus also said before Abraham was, "I am," the name God used. Jesus also said I and my Father are ONE. Jesus said "if you have seen me, you have seen the Father. I agree that there is only one God, but that one God consists of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, all three being God.
  • The Godhead Scriptures - In Reply on Revelation 8 - 3 years ago
You know part of the Mystery.

The Godhead is Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

Here are verses showing the Godhead speaking amongst themselves.

Different ministries, functions, but all three United in purpose. The LET US. From Genesis to the New Testament.

    Genesis 1:26

    Genesis 3:22

    Genesis 11:7

    1 John 5:7

    John 10:30

    Acts 17:27-30

Your understanding of scriptures represents you very well.

JESUS AND GOD ARE NOT ONE

Folks need to know some facts. We are living in the end times. Many people have been misled and need to know some facts. Do some research and learn the truth before it's too late. The Father and the Son are not one.

    1) God is the Father. Jesus is the Son.

How can we be sure? Scripture proves it many times over.

    There is One God, Deut 4:35, Isa 43:10, 44:6, 45:5-6, 18, 22

There is One Mediator between God

and men, the man Christ Jesus,

    1 Ti 2:5, Ac 2:22

Jesus was "MADE" of a Woman, Ga 4:4 whom God said:

"and he shall be to me a Son" Heb 1:5

    God Was "MANIFEST" (revealed)

"In The Flesh" (the life of Jesus), 1 Ti 3:16

Understand that God was "IN" Chr

The Meaning of Matthew 24:40-41 and Luke 17:34-35, "Although many assume that those taken in Matt 24:40-41 and Luke 17:34-35 are taken to be with Jesus and those left behind are left for judgment, this interpretation should be rejected." Throughout the context of these passages Jesus uses judgment language reminiscent of the Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem and the subsequent exile of its inhabitants. Those who were taken away were the ones judged by God whereas those left behind were the remnant who received grace.

Furthermore, the teaching of Jesus confirms this thesis. In the Parable of the Weeds the Son of Man sends his angels to gather out the children of the devil and throw them in the fiery furnace whereas the wheat is left behind ( Matt 13:36-43).

The context of Matt 24 and Luke 17 also suggests Jesus is intentionally using judgment and remnant language. Such language naturally brings up images of the former destruction of Jerusalem where the enemy came and "took away" (i.e., killed) those in the city.

Finally, the parallel with Noah and the flood in the preceding verses strongly confirms our thesis. Just as in the days of Noah the people were taken away by the great flood, so those who are not prepared will be taken away when the Son of Man returns.

Note: when seal 6 & 7 start, these 2-combined /occurring together, shall cause the earth to be a VERY undesirable place to be for all alive, even with 401K's, SSI, rent paid, good jobs or no job, ..., never-the-less those AWFUL days could start any minute of any hour, especially after /when we considered all events of seal 1,2,3,4,5, are more then likely fulfilled or being fulfilled globally in 2020. So if we are confused, and most are confused about SALVATION through JESUS, it is still better to be SAVED /secured in JESUS (see John 3:16-21 and similar verses) thereby avoid the 'Lake of Fire'.

The silence comes before a great storm the power of silence is everywhere and most of all the power of GOD is everywhere so the half hour is not much time to God as we know a thousand years are as one day. I believe a half hour of silence is the minimum needed to get people to slow down focus and listen prepare for what is about to happen. God does not order or command he lets us use our free will to stop listen and respond with respect.

A third of the sun's path is darkened- the sun is moving, we are still!!- a third of its path is a third of a day- otherwise we are looking at 4 months of darkness

Just like Joshua commanded the sun to stand still.

We live on a flat earth-we are God's foot stool ; up means up and down means down-

Like clay under the signet ring

The line accross- the breadth of the earth; the face of the earth

Pillars, foundations, the sea being locked up,antartica all around us

The firmament over us ,with waters above us, the firmament strong as molten looking glass

Gods throne over above us in the north- over north pole mount zion

The world has created a system that is trying to exclude God. False science(opposition of science)

The ball earth with the sun in the center (idolatry), evolution, God removed from schools, prayer removed-Is it any wonder children are not taking the bible seriously?

We try to conform the Word of God

To the false science our kids are taught in school-WAKE UP!

The anointing of God, my Holy Father, teaches me all things, even thine own wicked thoughts against me and intents to prolong thy deceit against my chosen. It is God that justifies me and my judgment is just. Therefore, thine accusations against me are vain opinions of no truth. For ye are Satan's angels, witnessing falsely for filthy lucre's sake, saying thou art Christ by thine own speaking, when Christ alone preaches truth according to those things given by my Holy Father. And ye prophesy falsely, saying, When Jesus comes! When Christ returns! Yet ye secretly say Christ is come, even raised again. Ye are the WHORE sitting upon the beast that is mankind: ye are wolves in sheep's clothing.
