    Thank you Chris,

I appreciate your support. I see that the posts before and between my posts were removed. I do not know why. I truly wanted to know more so that I could understand the poster and give a reasoned response. I prayed for those two posters last night.

We just don't know those who come here to post and often what seem like innocuous words offend others. So, I am always glad when people speak honestly with me.
  • Chris - In Reply on Revelation 3:9 - 2 years ago
I'm with you wholeheartedly GiGi. What you wrote to the original poster made perfect sense, for anyone wanting to attempt responding to him/her. I was going to ask the same thing, but thought the statement given was nonsense & my reply then would be of equal value. Keep up the good work.

Dear Richard, I am sorry that I have offended you. I was really wanting to know more of BADAZZ's thinking. Not trying to mother anyone. Sorry you take it that way. I am glad you shared your thoughts with me. I do think that this site is for anyone to speak their thoughts and to respond to posts as they feel led to do. But I will take your criticism under prayerful consideration. Have a good evening.

    Dear BAD

Your posts do not make much sense. Could you elaborate and explain your thoughts more so that those of us who sincerely wish to understand and respond can do so?

To GOD Be The Glory, Reading GOD'S Word and getting the true understanding, who you are and where you came FROM; Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before him in love. This meaning that we are like GOD himself wrapped up into an earthen vessel housing the spirit that is within us to do his will, his way here on earth, clearly it is written in Matthew in 6:10 Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven, GOD created us in His image to do the work here in earth as it is heaven, we are not to lose ourselves into this worldly world being disobedient to the call in which we were created to do, to be, and to say what Our Heavenly has predestine for each of us to do for His KINGDOM; 1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people that we should show forth the praises of him he hath called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. GOD IS LOVE

Hello Jorge. That's very interesting - I have never heard this before, that it was the Apostle John whom Paul was referring to in 2 Corinthians 12:2-4.

If that's the case then Paul was stating that John was known by him (which he probably was) & that John had this heavenly vision (in Revelation) about the early 40s AD. However, John was not exiled to Patmos till much later (in the 90s AD) probably under orders of Emporer Domitian (who was ruling at that time). If these dates are correct then it seems impossible for Paul to speak of John having these visions when they hadn't occurred as yet.

As well, how do you understand 2 Corinthians 12:5-7, where Paul writes about 'glorying' (boasting)? Is he then speaking about boasting in John's revelations & in case his boasting got out of hand, a "thorn in the flesh" was given him to keep him humble? It seems incredible that poor Paul would be so afflicted for the likelihood of his boasting of someone else's revelations. Yet, the clear understanding of the 2 Corinthians passage is to the Apostle Paul himself. If perchance he was speaking of another, how could Paul glory in that revelation, since the words of that revelation could not be revealed (v4); if nothing revealed, then where is the glorying? Sorry for all these questions - your comments have me perplexed.

    The book of revelation was revealed to John; the beloved disciple of Christ; who else deserve to receive this reward because John has loved Jesus more than the others disciples, his true and intense love is agape and genuine, not Evil desire on it, but love God. ( Revelation 1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;), (Revelation1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. Revelation 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,) And even the scholar of the universities did not understood Paul when he declared that he knew a man, in Christ Jesus that was foretold things that he can not say it. ("Awesome"), By the Holy Spirit help you will know it. {

    2nd Corinthians 12:2 I knew a man, (John the beloved disciple of Jesus,) in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. (John the beloved disciple of Jesus,), 2nd Corinthians 12:3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows;), (Paul can not tell because was not his own experience, but John can and he revealed in Revelations 1:10), 2nd Corinthians 12:4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. 2nd Corinthians 12:5 Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. (bad sight,) 2nd Corinthians 12:6 For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he sees me to be, or that he hears of me.}

The Prologue of The Wisdom of Jesus The Son of Sirach. Whereas many and great things have been delivered unto us by the law and the prophets, and by others that have followed their steps, for the which things Israel ought to be commended for learning and wisdom; and whereof not only the readers must needs become skillful themselves, but also they that desire to learn be able to profit them which are without, both by speaking and writing: My Grandfather Jesus, when he had much given himself to the reading of the law, and the prophets, and other books of our fathers, and had gotten therein good judgment, was drawn on also himself to write something pertaining to learning and wisdom; to the intent that those which are desirous to learn, and are addicted to these things, might profit much more in living according to the law.

Revelation 22:18 - 19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

John 15: 2-8 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

    Sacha,

I understand your feelings. I appreciate your thoughtful posts, and how you internalize the Spirit. I can answer your question in one sentence: All souls go back to God; dead children, like all dead, await the resurrection.

Everyone is trying their best, some withhold their true opinion for reprisal. Don't get me wrong, If someone nicked my horse meat pie, I'd throw a wobbly, too.

I am dedicating my forthcoming Ezekiel 38 composite to you. It took me about a week to compile from memory, and had to cut out bone to get it down to 6 pages. You will like it. The OT ties in the NT with unexpected delight, stories that fill in mysteries cracks, while honoring the majesty of the prophets.

Dear Adam, You seem sincere so I will honor your reply. To rightly understand this, we must first use the instructions given to us by God and rightly divide the scriptures. Saved must be understood in context. For the saints under the law at the time of Christ and for those who will have to endure the time of Jacobs trouble (enduring to the "end" of the tribulation and entering into the promised Kingdom of Heaven on earth given to Israel), will be essential. Many if not most will have to die and be martyred to keep the faith. Their works will be evidence of their faith and will be essential as a testimony to that. That is why you read so many verses about that in Matt, Mk, Lk, Jn, Hebrews, James, Peter, 1-3 John Jude and Rev. You are correct in understanding that those during that time would be able to abandon their faith and would be judged for it. When the Kingdom of Christ is again set up through the believing remnant and reigning, the law of God will flow from Zion for the whole world. Violation of Gods law will be dealt with through righteous judgment and the penalty for transgressions will be quick. (please read about Ananias and Saphira in Acts.5:1-11)

That is why 1 John says to the saints of that time not to pray for some sins. See 1 John 5:16. Remember that Christ gave and will give the Apostles in the Kingdom of Heven on earth the divine authority to forgive sins or not. John 20:23. Matt 19:28. When Israel rejected the witness of the the Holy Spirit Act 7:54-60, God set aside Israel and Chose to reveal through the Apostle Paul a new dispensation. See Ephesians 3. Until the body of Christ is removed and the fullness of the gentiles if come in, works are not part of salvation. Believers can do nothing to be made righteous but believe in the faith of Christ. God seals us with His Holy Spirit and we are immersed into the Body of Christ and adopted into his heavenly family. Rom 8.Our works will be judged but we will be saved See 1 For 3:15. Eph 2:8-9 God Bless

As I just want to post this to you S Spencer. As that Psalm you posted lead me to open the Bible to that page. Then reading Psalms 71: is perfect for my heart this day.

In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.

Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.

Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.

Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.

By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.

I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.

Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.

Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.

    God Bless.

    Hi Bill,

That's another tough highly debated topic!

Thank God we are overcomers ( by the blood of Christ ). There is nothing we can take away from it and there's nothing we can add to it.

Often we just look at what we think to be the worst sins and single them out like murder ect.. So we don't carry those acts out, does that make us Perfect, Does that lift the old sin nature, Does that take care of sin where it generates before we carry out the act, which is in the HEART!

If it was up to us we all would loose our salvation. THANK GOD ITS NOT!

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, JUDE 1:24.

Let's take a look at Sardis and their condition.

Revelation 3:1.... I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

Some of those in Sardis is in a condition where they have a "name " they are live but they're dead. " Not all"

Man's righteousness is as filthy rags, the spotted garments can also mean your self righteousness, that fits Sardis.

Man is unable to clean himself or stay clean apart from the Holyspirit.

Revelation 3:4-5. Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Jesus died for the Whole world, Some suggest that everyone is written in "this" book and their name will remain because they overcame by the blood of the Lamb.

Some only had a name that they liveth but are dead.

Psalms 69:28 (KJV) Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.
  • Jesse - In Reply on Revelation 3:2 - 3 years ago
If I may add my thoughts on salvation and "walking away," how can a true believer, one who has been born of God's Spirit walk away?

Once we are saved and sealed by God's Spirit, it is Satan who wants to take us away. He can't take our salvation from us because in order for him to do that, he would have to remove God's Spirit from within us, and he can't do that.

As was stated, God has promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us. If He never leaves, how can we leave?

If we walk away, guess what? He's still there inside us because He said He will never leave. A person who does leave was never saved to begin with.

1 John 2:19 says "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us."

This is one of the important verses of the bible. John is saying the spirit of antichrist has come into the world.

But there are people from our physical fellowship, our church that left us to go follow the spirit of antichrist, the false teachers, and the false teachings.

But, he says the reason why they left us is because they really were not one of us, because if they were one of us they would have remained with us.

John says don't worry about it because if the person belongs to Christ, they're not going anywhere.

If Christ is truly dwelling in a person's life, even if they did leave, it would not last long before His Spirit inside brings them back.

If we want to find out if we really belong to Christ, the best test would be to try and walk away. If you can stay away without any conviction, then His Spirit was never in you and you were never saved.

But I can tell you from experience, if His Spirit lives in you, you will not be able to stay away for long.

The conviction will always be there because He will never leave us nor forsake us, even if we "walk away" from Him.

That's a really packed verse and in its context a book in itself .

    Thanks for your view .

To me it reveals how God the father is the source of everything Jesus was given , and Jesus proves the father true by his life . A remarkable testimony and I'm thankful to read this in the Bible .

Fearing God is a great answer... He can destroy Both! (soul & body)
  • Adam - In Reply on Revelation 3:2 - 3 years ago
God won't leave you if you follow Him, and following Him assumes you're being obedient, but if you turn your back on Him and follow the devil the Bible doesn't say you're saved. Salvation assumes you're doing your part and actually following Him. If you can show me a verse that says otherwise, please do. But I have a mountain of verses that support this, like: Matthew 7:21, Hebrews 10:26. 3 John 1:11 says if you do evil God doesn't even know you. John 14:15 Jesus says if you love Him you will keep His commandments, that means if you don't keep His commandments you don't love Him.

Most of the warnings Jesus gave was to His Christian followers, about being careful, being on watch, on guard, parables warn of most people going to hell and being prepared, Peter talked about running the race well to the finish to get the 'prize', etc. So, was all that useless talk? If everyone is automatically saved regardless of their actions does that mean all the parables and talk was irrelevant? Or, is it more likely Jesus was right, that your actions do matter, and that maybe some men need to adjust their expectations and begin to fear God like it says so many times: Matthew 10:28.

Most people will go to hell, and Jesus predicted that many will be surprised they're not going in, and cry out 'Lord, Lord'... You can't earn heaven, people are saved by grace, but this assumes you're a Christian- which is a verb that means following Christ and not sinning and being a light to the world through good deeds, because that's what Christians should do. It doesn't mean its impossible to sin, but Christians must avoid sin at all costs! Matthew 5:30 I think many who call themselves Christians will be shocked on judgment day and have deep regret for their actions and not taking Christianity seriously. God bless...
