JOB 26:7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.
  • JP on Revelation 21 - 4 years ago
I believe it would be a lot wiser to believe John the Apostle who saw this first hand then to believe John Dyer.
  • Carl on Revelation 21 - 4 years ago
The New Jerusalem would teeter on a Globe earth. The 4 corners would be miles high from the ground using a 8" per Square mile calculation. Also, the Bottomless pit is mentioned 7 times in the Scriptures (Revelation). How do you have that on a Globe 🌍?????
  • Vicki on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago
No, Mr. Dyer, everything in Revelation is NOT symbolic. The new Jerusalem will be a real, literal four square city. There’s no sense In describing such detail of something isn’t even real. It’s real. Too many folks want to symbolize what’s literal and vice versa. Literal is the first interpretation of the Bible unless it’s obvious it’s symbolic. You might read up on biblical hermeneutics.
  • John Dyer on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago
The things John describes in revelations are all symbolic there is no square city with walls of gems made of clear gold and gates made of pearls its figurative not literal. Im experiencing the truth firsthand and i assure you Gods kingdom is worth much more than any substance. God bless

If we rely on Jehovah God and do our part to overcome trials and temptations then we can have his favor and be successful.
  • Dave on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago
Why do you all think the LORD is so weak? " new Jerusalem is within us". The New Jerusalem is EXACTLY what HE said. A 1500 mile cube within a diamond sphere. That "teacher" will regret his teaching some day as he is leading people, weak people, to doubt the LORD.
  • David on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago
Why do people who don't understand a passage always say it is subjective. The Word of the LORD is real and literal. Don't act as if a thing is too much or too great for the LORD. The city is as described as a 12,000 furlong (1500 mile) per side cube with a wall ( a sphere) of jasper ( diamond) around it. Do the math.same size as moon and hollow..like the moon. Aliens? Try fallen angels to fool us
  • Charley on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago

  • Barbara on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago
Ron......The bible says "in hell he lifted his eyes"..speaking of the rich man....I don't think hell is a place where souls will burn and be gone....it's a place where there will be torment, but it's a place that people choose to go..your right that God doesn't torture and God doesn't send people to hell....That's why he sent his only son; so we wouldn't have to go to hell.....

Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. Very very clear Jesus is talking about PEOPLE going into everlasting fire. fire that never ends. Do Not Mock God
  • Servant of the most high God on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago
Luke 16:19-31 Must read Hell is very real and people are there. God help us all. Luke 16:19-31 Luke 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, .............!
  • Anonymous on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago
The Bible very clearly mentions an eternal Hell in several passages. All sin must be paid for because God is just. Sin is either paid for by eternal damnation in a literal Hell, or by the sacrifice of Christ.

II Corinthians 5:6-8 expounds upon our souls being either in the body or with the Lord, and so we know that we will be in Heaven while our earthly bodies remain in the ground.
  • Bobby Hutchinson on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago
My Bible says there will only be one kind of people in Heaven, that will be the SAVED, the LOST will be in Hell. There will be people from all Nations there if they are SAVED. The 144,000 Jews will be the ones witnessing during the first 3 1/2yrs. of the tribulation period, when The LORD returns to earth. But remember the JEWS are God's Chosen People.

Rev 21:4 and God shall wipe away etc etc
and Isaiah 43:16-21 (v19) Behold I will do a new thing
Are these 2 books talking about the same thing? eg
When Israel and us will be together in the N/Jerusalem with Jesus being
King of kings and Lord of Lords for 1,000 years?
  • Ron on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago
Hi Linda,. 144,000 is not literal, 12 x 12 is the number for the church or spiritual Israel, Jews and Gentiles, (the "new Jerusalem") the dead know nothing and wait in the grave like Lazarus did, (not heaven) for Christ's return to be "called" (resurrected). I agree God will not torture the unsaved in "hell". The second death (by fire) will consume them within seconds and sin will be gone forever.
  • Linda Morgan on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago
I believe that only 144.000 ( little flock) go to heaven and we will be in a death sleep. Until Jesus shouts " come out " at the time of the new paradise on earth. GOD wanted us all to live in a earthly paradise like Adam and Eve had. He wouldn't send us to heaven then send us back to earth. It's all in the bible.and he would not send people to a burning he'll. They will just die or stay dead.
  • Lorease on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago
Brother Roger, we will know each other as we have know one another on earth, however, the "relationship" will be different as Bro. Anthony stated, the relationship in glory will be based as brethren in Christ. Be blessed ... your granny will know that you were her grandson, and will be glad that you made it over as a brethren in Christ. Be Blessed!
  • Stephen B on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago
Roger Austin, you will indeed know your loved ones by name! And you will know all of the saints by name. Peter knew Moses and Elijah. Even the rich man knew Lazarus and 'father Abraham' though at that time there was a 'great gulf fixed' and he could not pass to them.
  • Anthony Terry on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago
No ma'm, I was teaching a brother of mine in dealing with his 17 year old daughter. Scripture tells that we will be brothers and sisters. Even here and now my wife is my wife but I am always to see her as my sister in Christ as well for this will be how we see each other within the Kingdom
  • BSP on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago
Verse 8 brings out that the fearful or the cowards will not have a future. It is important that we be courageous.
  • Roger Austin on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago
when we get to heaven our love ones that went before us such as grandma mary will my soul no her as grandma mary?
  • Bruce on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago
John saw The New Jerusalem coming down from Heaven, V: 2 and 10. All Nations will walk in The Light, All that are Written in The Book of Life V: 24 and 27
  • Morgan on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago
Revelation very interesting, Is all nations allowed into the kingdom of heaven? well according to Chapter 21:12 only the twelve tribes of Israel is going into heaven. Is this confusion, I don't think so, from the beginning of the bible to the end it talks about on set of people who salvation is for. And these people has been downtrodden until this day, and I am not talking about the Jewish.
  • BSP on Revelation 21 - 6 years ago
Verse 8~ In the Paradise all murderers will be destroyed and we will no longer have to live in pain or free. I look forward to the fulfillment of this prophecy.
