Very clear and Rev 18 tells the story of the destruction of the USA and NYC. God is about to judge the USA. God please protect your children at this time.
Revelation 17:8 says that 'the beast was', which means that he was alive, 'and is not', which means that he died, 'and yet is', which doesn't mean that he was raised from the dead, but rather that his activity is alive through his worshippers, and that his writing are still in existence. So, we have to look into history to know who he was, and realize that he is not actually alive today.

It's nothing new. Each best are same in Dan. and it names em. Starting with Babylon through Rome. Each world power adopted old powers practice along with it. Rome ended up being a pagan cluster of religions with a Jesus hat on top. Rome was the harlott, and she has daughters. Futurism in Rev was started by Rome to take the heat off. Every protestant knew this until about 1900. It's been buried.
In Genesis 11:1-9 is the recorded beginnings of that spirit of "The Great Whore" which reigns over the kings of the earth: because the confounding of the languages, and scattering of them to every corner of the world, did not take that heathen rebellion and antichrist spirit out of their hearts. The hypocrites and apostates have always been those who taken their portion on the back of the beast.
In Genesis 11:1-9 we have the nativity of that "Great Whore" spirit, ever since in the world. When the Lord came down to see the city and the tower that they were building, He said, "The people are one, and have all one language, and this they begin to do; and now nothing will be restrained from them of all that they have imagined to do?" So their imagination today is to casting off all restraint.
Verse 15 tells you who the religious whore is. It's the people and their new religion as they chase after a false Christ because they have been told Jesus is coming and he is going to fly us away and Satan acting as Jesus will be preaching come fly with me, worshipp me. Don't get caught worshipping the devil you won't be on the happy list and God's consuming fire won't be a warm feeling of love.

The protestants claimed "sola scriptura" (the Bible only) but even Rome pointed out to ALL protestants at the Council of Trent in the mid 1500s, " You don't follow the Bible only, you STILL pay homage to Rome because you don't observe the Sabbath, but keep Rome's venerable day of rest."
