Revelation Chapter 12 Discussion Page 11

That's fine Adam if you choose to believe falseness over truth. You, and all of us really, are in one of two categories, those that have repented and received salvation from sin, and stop sinning here on Earth by the power of Jesus, or those that continue to sin until the Judgement Day. You have been taught that you can be saved and sin, but whoever taught you that is a liar. If you cannot cease from sin with the blood of Jesus applied upon salvation, there was not any change in you. So the reference to the earlier thought some think the blood of Jesus and His sacrifice is the same as bulls and goats does in fact apply truthfully.

And as I told Chris, you will be reminded by God at Judgement Day you read the message a saint named David wrote warning you to consider your soul. Salvation and sanctification require you to be cleansed FROM sin, requiring sinful acts to cease. If you say you cannot stop sin here on Earth, you didn't find the right Jesus, the one that is the Son of God, who came to save from sin here, now.

So that's all there is, a warning to any reading this, Jesus came to Earth about 2,000 years ago, born of a virgin, to preach His gospel, to become the sacrificial Lamb of God, die on the cross to be the sacrifice that saves from sin as in Titus 2:11, 12 is referred to again, and to leave an example that living sin free is possible in His power.

Here's one other way to look at it. If you are in fact right and I'm not, we both still go to Heaven. But if it turns out I am right and you aren't, then you will not gain Heaven. Isn't it worth it to find out who is right?

Finally, what is wrong by living right? Or to live sin free now? And yes living sin free is available through the sacrifice of Jesus, and only through Him.

PS if all that continue to sin make Heaven their eternal home, what must one do to spend eternity in Hell? I dare you to ask God honestly to show you where you stand with Him now. And I also dare you to listen and obey Him.

    Hi Chris,

Yes my comment was for you, specifically in the end of your comments where you say "And, we're not required to be 'sinless to enter Heaven': we are still saved & sanctified sinners who will be renewed in every way, outfitted for life in Eternity."

Repentance, salvation, and sanctification from sin through the blood of Jesus does not produce saved and sanctified sinners. Romans 12:1 refers to sanctification and says in part "ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God". Those guilty of committed sins are not the living sacrifice as sin makes one dead spiritually. A sinner is not holy nor acceptable.

Think all the way back to Genesis 2:17 where God warned Eve not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. In verse 4 of chapter 3 the serpent told Eve God was wrong and she'd not die. God was referring to the effects of son and that it does cause the soul to die. Satan as the serpent deceived Eve by turning God's words of warning to mean not dying physically.

Here is Titus 2:11, 12 "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;". The problem is you excuse sin, saying sin still is present in the saved, where God offers salvation from sin.

Matt. 1:21 Jesus was sent to save us from sin, not still in sin.

If you want true salvation, you will stop sinning after being saved. If you want a watered down false doctrine, feel free to think you are saved and sanctified yet still sin. But be warned, when you are at the Judgement before God, He will remind you a saint of God told you in this comment area that salvation requires you to stop the sin business. (See Matt. 25:31-46) If any stand before God with sin that is not repented of and are still committing sin, they cannot enter Heaven and will be separated from the sheep. And as a goat, be sent to Hell for eternal punishment.

Well said and Holy. That was a great representation of Gods Words. We all fall short of the glory of God because we are not perfect and with sin. But we get better and try to be the best version of Christ everyday. This is called sanctification. People really need to understand this so more may come to Christ.

The reason a saved person cannot fallaway is b/c we are bornagain by his living WORD and his WORD cannot return unto him void, Thats the law with God, My word shall NOT RETURN unto me VOID but shall surely prosper in the thing that i send IT which is ETERNAL LIFE.My sheep have Eternal life and No man can pluck them out of my hand and my Father that gave them me is GREATER THEN ALL and no man is able to pluck them out of my Fathers hand. Them that hath shall MORE be given, but them that hath NOT from them shall be taken what they THINK they have. So true salvation is a have or have not situation.

David, are your comments directed to me? If so, they seem inconsistent to what I wrote earlier. Even leaving aside the matter about Lucifer, the Babylonian king & Prince of Tyrus, I'm not sure where you got the idea that I intimated that Christ's sacrifice was no better than the Jewish sacrifices of old. Of course, if you believe that Christ's sacrifice has now made all those who call upon Him, sinless, then that of course is a serious matter.

The difference between the old sacrifices & the sacrifice of Jesus is that the old sacrifices were temporary, limited & served only to alert Israel to their sin & need for restitution. Christ provided the 'better' Sacrifice because it came out of God's Love sending forth His Word as a Man to be our substitution & to bear our penalty: being therefore Perfect, there was no further need for subsequent offerings & it was the only one that permanently averted God's Wrath from the sinner.

You wrote, "God will not buy your saved sinner excuse to remain a sinner". I'm unsure where you got this idea from as I never spoke of a saved sinner excusing himself to commit sin. Yes, there are some who might hold to this belief, but it's from Hell - no sinner saved by God's immeasurable Grace to them, would ever desire or contemplate unrestrained sinful behaviour as his 'free right' through Christ.

So maybe your comments were actually directed to my comment, "we're not required to be 'sinless to enter Heaven'". We are required to be forgiven, born again & Spirit-indwelt so as to have the Seal of God in us for entrance into Heaven, but not to be sinless. Can anyone ever say that he/she is sinless now, given the reality of our earthly existence & many follies? Would all the exhortation from the apostles & preachers today for us to turn away from the "sins that so easily beset us" all be wasted effort if the 'sinless' believer could never be drawn into sin? But maybe, I have misunderstood you in this matter, for which I apologize.
  • Adam - In Reply on Revelation 12 - 3 years ago
    Hi David,

I'm not sure where you get your information, because it doesn't seem to be from the Bible. Grace doesn't mean it erases sin, like it never happened. Grace is forgiveness of sin. Forgiveness is different than something that never happened. People who sin are forgiven if they are genuinely Christians who follow Christ. It sounds like you're claiming that Christians have to be perfect and without sin to enter heaven? If that is your belief, Jesus already said no one is without sin Romans 3:10. So, are you calling Jesus a liar? You also seemed to question why Jesus died on the cross. Jesus already explained exactly why he died on the cross- it's black and white in the Bible. So, the following statements from you are false:

    >So let's be clear, if you are sinning still, you are not saved. You will not go to Heaven if you die in sin.

There is a difference from a Christian who tries their best to follow Christ but still sins (grace) because they have temptations of the flesh (just like Paul did), and someone who claims to be a Christian, but is not interested in following Christ, but desires to enjoy sin as much as possible because Satan told him he was saved and doesn't have to change (not grace).
  • David W Black - In Reply on Revelation 12 - 3 years ago
So the blood of Jesus does no better as atonement for our sins than the bulls and goats of the Old Testament. This is what you believe and want me to believe if Jesus cannot save you from sin now. If Jesus cannot save you from sin now, why did He die? Why did He bother to sacrifice Himself if it's no different than the Old Testament animal sacrifices? I know there is a difference in these sacrifices, and I know Jesus saves from sin here on Earth, if you truly repent. Those that aren't saved from sin, and those that say they are sinners saved by grace, do not want to stop their sins, so they've made false doctrines like this.

This is just an example to get you to think. Suppose your sin is murder. You kill somebody else, you are arrested, put in jail, and are then taken to trial. The judge asks you what your plea is. "Your honor, we're just sinners saved by grace. I couldn't help myself." The judge will sentence you to life in prison or the death penalty as this judge will not buy the saved sinner and cannot help yourself plea. Yet you want us to believe God will buy the story that you can't help yourself when you face Him at the last judgement. God will not buy your saved sinner excuse to remain a sinner. He sent Jesus to save you from sin. And if you die in sin, your sentence is eternity in Hell.

The act of repentance in which people are saved from sin includes forgiveness of the penalty, removing the guilt, and breaking the power of sin. If it is real repentance and if you are serious that is. However, many people that claim to be a Christian claim He cannot save from sin. So let's be clear, if you are sinning still, you are not saved. You will not go to Heaven if you die in sin. Now is the time to be saved from sin. The Judgement Day is set aside to judge you not to save.

    Victoria,

The Lord led me to reply to your post. As seeing you have someone named "Richard" in your family that is dealing with epilepsy or "seizures". I dealt with seizures for over seventeen years and it was the most detrimental thing I've ever had to live through. As no medication stopped them. Getting in many car accidents because of them and so on. I would pray to God in tears "why me"? Just thinking I was going to have to deal with that issue for the rest of my life as nothing ever changed.

Just last year I was lead to the Bible. After reading the words of Jesus Christ I was truly taken and gave my life to Him. Praying for Him to come into my heart, that my life was His, how sorry I was for stopping believing in Him and How much I loved Him. I am now a living person with a Testimony of a miracle of healing that the Lord can do. I prayed to Jesus Christ, to heal my seizures, and He showed me that he was healing me. It wasn't instant but things began to change.

God truly works in mysterious ways that we cannot fully grasp as He knows the end before the beginning. He has a plan for all of us. Now I confess that Jesus Christ healed my seizures, along with changing my life, to as many people I can. To try and get them to the Lord. I only tell the truth and it is all for His glory not mine.

You, and your family, are always in my prayers. Keep your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. God Bless you.

For God so Loved the World. What did He Do? He Gave His Only Begotten Son to die and suffer for our Sins. Your Sin is Repeated against God's Ten Commandments. Why? Do you hurt yourself so that you would take Satan's side, while on this Earth. You only push Jesus away from guiding you. What if you were to die today? Where would you go? Ask God now for forgiveness. Be able to face your Mighty Lord when He reads your Life in His Book. This is Life or Death to you once in Heaven. There is no turning back. Think...Now... Where are You???
  • Chris - In Reply on Revelation 12 - 3 years ago
David, it is true that Isaiah 14:4ff refers to the king of Babylon, yet it appears that his wickedness was likened to Lucifer (= the shining one). And that not only his rule, but also his destiny would be as assigned to Lucifer. The King probably entertained such thoughts in his heart also, as 'exalting himself above anyone else on Earth or in Heaven even to be equal to God', which he was considered during his rule. So the reference is to the king, but clear allusion to Lucifer, the spirit that controlled the king, both in his mental aspirations & wickedness as a regent.

As further support, we have Ezekiel chapter 28, where a similar wicked prince is taken over the coals: the Prince of Tyrus. He too made similar claims (v2). Then Ezekiel took up a lamentation over him (vv 12-19) with words that clearly show that the prince could not possibly be the one that is only referred to here (vv 13-16) & that there is another one that perfectly fulfilled this, indeed was instrumental in the prince's behaviour. Words such as 'anointed cherub' & 'perfect in the ways from the day thou was created' can't be applied to the prince, rather strongly reveals Satan who was once pure & holy 'until iniquity was found in thee' who was the prince's influence.

So the question comes back to your thoughts: 'if angels have no will of their own, how can they then sin'? Herein, our understanding ceases as we're not told how this can happen. But because it happened, we should not remove all references to Satan/Lucifer as one who was never in Heaven as a cherub. And, we're not required to be 'sinless to enter Heaven': we are still saved & sanctified sinners who will be renewed in every way, outfitted for life in Eternity. Only Jesus is seen as a sinless Man now glorified in Body & in worship, at His Father's right Hand.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, David, but I disagree with nearly everything you wrote. God bless.
  • David W Black - In Reply on Revelation 12 - 3 years ago
You make some good points on fearing God and that there are those that do end up in Hell. However, Angels in Heaven did not sin, nor were the Angels of God cast out of Heaven. Satan was not in Heaven where God dwells and where those saved from sin spend eternity.

Angels have no will of their own, making it impossible for them to sin. Satan was not an Angel of God that rebelled and was then cast out. Yes there are areas in the Bible that talk about Satan in heavenly places such as in Job, where Satan and God were discussing or debating, whatever we want to call this interaction in consideration of Job. But Satan was never in the Heaven talked about as in Heaven vs Hell, places souls spend eternity.

The probable area that seems to indicate Satan was in Heaven and cast out is represented in Isaiah 14 starting in verse 4 "...take up this proverb against the king of Babylon..." Here the description of Babylon's king Nebuchadnezzar and his fall from power and being turned into a beast as depicted in Daniel 4 begins. Another depiction of what would happen to the king as told by 2 accounts in 2 different ways. In Isaiah 14:12 we read "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!" Isaiah 14 is still talking about a man, the king of Babylon. In verse 16 it confirms that a man is still being discussed. "...Is this the man that made the earth to tremble..." Would you call Satan a man? Satan and Lucifer are not the same; Lucifer was an alternate name, a nickname maybe, of Nebuchadnezzar.

If Angels in Heaven can sin, and you or I can be thrown out of Heaven, does it sound like such a great reward as we otherwise think it to be? Why are we required to be sinless to enter Heaven, yet after arriving we can sin again once there? Isn't part of the reward of gaining Heaven to not be in or around sin, sinful things, and the temptation to sin? Sin and the sinful cannot enter Heaven.

    Hi Claire,

I think the reason some say baptism is encouraged, but not 'required' is verses like John 3:16.

However, in my opinion, that's only part of the picture; there's so many other verses to consider like Acts 2:38.

You already read the scriptures, you already want to do it, and you absolutely should. So, please do it, despite the pastors opinion. Since churches that normally would do this probably do this on a limited basis during the virus, if you don't want to wait any longer, all you need is another person, such as a pastor or minister, to baptize you. You could get permission to be baptized with a church's facilities on another day, or you could do it in a lake, pool, or hot-tub or any number of places that are just as valid. The key is that you know what it symbolizes and its helpful to read the scriptures beforehand so you know exactly what it means.

May God bless you and congratulations on your decision!

    Hi William,

I'm sure you're aware that many Christians would disagree with your saying that 'you cannot' go to hell. On the contrary, Jesus spent quite a bit of time in parables and teaching his followers (Christians) warning them against sinning. So, I'm not sure how you come to the conclusion that this young person is somehow immune from going to hell? It literally says in the Bible to fear the Lord. Jesus said that himself. Matthew 10:28

Satan probably doesn't want people to fear Him though, he loves deceiving people into thinking they can sin all they want with zero consequence. The Bible already clearly says most people will go to hell- narrow is the way. And even not all Christians will get in either. Matthew 7:23. Some people should actually be afraid. But if we actually genuinely follow Jesus then we can put our faith and trust in Him and God's grace. Not all 'Christians' follow Jesus or try to avoid sin is the problem. It's especially concerning that people don't think they can commit blasphemy. It says clear as day that people who do this WILL NOT go to heaven. People have freewill and you don't know what they'll choose in the future. Even angels in heaven had freewill to sin and they did- hence satan and demons. God bless.
  • William - In Reply on Revelation 12 - 3 years ago
Bronson, You do not go to hell for not perfectly living up to God's standard, in fact, you cannot. It is only by faith in Jesus Christ and His death and ressurection for your sin, that saves you. John 3:16-18,36. Romans Chapters 4 and 5. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. May He provide understanding and help to you in this matter.

    Dear Minou,

May God bless you and keep you through this challenge. Will pray for you to persevere through this valley and that you will also do your part in staying in the Word, reflecting on the positive blessings you have Phil 4:8, and also realizing that you have freedom in Christ and gifts in order to help others. People always feel better about themselves when they help others feel better, so what have you done lately or what can you do to help others? Have you been putting on the armor of God and keeping your shield up to protect against the enemy, against negative thoughts? If it's smokey where you are how hard would it be to go where there's no smoke for a little while? What is the opportunity in this situation that maybe you haven't recognized yet?

Paul was shipwrecked, in prison, tortured, starving, persecuted, but he was content and filled with joy. Why? Our external circumstances don't dictate our joy, but our mental attitude and our interpretation of things. Have you watched the video of the man with no arms and legs who is a motivational speaker who travels the world? These are just some of the positive things that are beneficial to reflect on like Philippians 4:8 says. You face challenges but you are not alone, you have God. Pray.

    God bless!

Therefore, I bind up the spirit of Jezebel in the heavenlies. I bind up Jezebel with chains from heaven, and I loose God's holy warrior angels to battle on our behalf.

Father, send forth your angels from heaven to help cast out this demonic spirit. There is no throne for you Jezebel. I take away & destroy all false idols and all sacrifices destroying the sanctity of marriage.

I come in the name of Jesus, the Lord of Hosts. The Lord says He will toss you into a bed & burn you with fire. I pour the Blood of Jesus all over you for it cleanses, purifies and sets the captives free.

I war against this spirits' intimidation & control to set all captives free.

I declare in faith that every chain on every captive that this spirit has is destroyed and broken.

I break & smash the power, manipulation, lies, denial, and deception caused by the spirit of Jezebel.

I rebuke all spirits of false teaching & false prophecy connected to Jezebel.

I pray for spouses to be delivered from pride, infatuation, seduction, lust, perversion, rebellion, selfishness, fornication, adultery, whoredom, and witchcraft plotted against them by the spirit of Jezebel.

I pray for husbands & wives to be delivered from sexual sin, immorality, and idolatry.

I bind up the powers of the witch and seal them.

I pray that the wickedness of Jezebel be revealed to whole world. I pray that all corruption, destruction, nakedness and shame caused by Jezebel be exposed!

I recognize that wayward men & women covertly operate in a Jezebel spirit.

I recognize that this spirit torments men's souls and that the battle is not with our spouses. I renounce & remove the spirit of Jezebel from the throne of men's hearts.

I pray restoration for marriages, in the name of Jesus. I declare freedom, deliverance, HEALING, joy, and peace for all captives, in the mighty name of Jesus.

I claim this victory through the Blood of the Lamb and by the Word of God. I rejoice with thanksgiving to God. Thank you Jesus!!

    11. Curse of divorce

    12. Curse of male & female domination

    13. Incest

    14. Blasphemy

    15. Curse of loss of children

I speak destruction over the altars where the spirit of Jezebel received worship in my life, and I erect an altar there for God. It is written:

"David built there an altar to the Lord and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the Lord heeded the prayers for the land, and Israel's plague was stayed." ( 2 Sam 22:25)

The stronghold in my life where Jezebel has lived is now destroyed and a throne for Christ Jesus erected there. In the name of Jesus Christ, I now speak withering and death over all fruits of manipulation through the spirit of witchcraft in my life.

Father remove all leaven that caused me to walk under the control of this spirit, from my habits of thinking, my will, emotions and body. Father, in Jesus precious name, I pray that the Spirit of Elijah will rise up within me to expose the spirit of Jezebel in the Body of Christ. I pray Father, that the hearts of the fathers will be turned towards the children according to Malachi 4:5,6.

I pray that the disobedient will be turned towards the wisdom of the righteous - that You will enable me to outwork Godly principles to handle problems in my life. I pray that more and more spiritual fathers and mothers will come forth out of our midst to show the way and to take Your children by the hand and to lead them on paths of righteousness. I stand against you in Jesus name! It is written in the Word of God that whatsoever I bind on earth shall be bound in heaven.

Maybe she can move back with you. And the you get a restraining order. Keep the police on speed dial and have the Case number by the phone.

I'm presuming she's not saved, so you will have to ask God if he would send angels to be with her until things can be resolved.

God cares for us, so keep your mother radar turned up on high alert. It would be helpful if a neighbor near their house would call you when she sees boyfriends car in the driveway.

If you need help with that restraining order, contact Legal Aid in your area.

Keep praying for her to receive Jesus. You may have to pray with her.

I am confused about 2 things witch may only gather more. Is the devil a cherub or an angel? I'm having a really hard time finding verses that explain it. 2nd question is who are the "the beast" ( not plural but singular) and the false prophet spoken of in Revelation 20:10? I understand what a false prophet is, but I always thought there were many false prophets? And if satan and his followers (and his Angel's- by the way did satan create his angels?) And the beast then there must be only one beast. But I always thought that to be plural as well. Can someone give me some verses to help me understand this all?

    CALIFORNIA WILDFIRES

In order to put the California wildfires into a 'spiritual' context we invite you to visit the 'Current Events' page of our website. There are several entries that will explain the cause of God's wrath and why people's prayers are all in vain ( Matthew 15:9). The 'Current Events' page is a collection of thoughts and discussions on today's 'Current Events' and how our website helps to explain and examine them and put them into a 'spiritual' context.

As a direct result of religious and made-made doctrines and commandments ( Matthew 15:9; Mark 7:7; Col.2:22), history has proven that mankind does not follow the first three commandments ( Ex. 20:3-7), bur rather follows after an image of a false god and a false Christ ( Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Gal. 4:8; 2 Cor. 11:13-15; Rev. 12:9). History has also proven that this whole world has been deceived as confirmed by the Word of God in Revelation 12:9, and history has also proven that 'Religion' is a deception that Satan is using to transform himself into an angel of light and an apostle of Christ ( 2Cor. 11:13-15).

You can learn more about our Ministry in Christ by Googling our 'Names' or the article "False Apostles and False Christs' or 'A World Deceived'. There is also a 'Contact' page for further communication. We invite you to review the 'Letter of Introduction' posted on the 'Introduction' page of the website. It highlights some of our work. Please note that our website was visited last year by people from over 160 countries. There are a total of 193 countries throughout the world plus the Vatican and Palestine that are listed as observer states.

It should be noted that in over 36 years of service we have never collected/received, solicited or requested donations. The gift of 'Life' was freely given and freely do we give to all those that believe ( 2 Kings 5:16; Matthew 6:26; 10:8).

Seek, and ye shall find ( Maatthew 7:7).

    In His Service.

Hi Anna, I understand your concern for your granddaughter getting frequent illnesses & being away from home. Legally, she is within her right to do what she decides, but as her grandmother, you certainly can lovingly speak/write to her about your concerns. A vegan diet is not necessarily a bad diet but if she has underlying health problems/allergies, then she really needs to see a doctor & dietitian who would help her to get her bodily functions back to normal. I don't know if she is willing to do this, rather seeing your suggestions as meddling in her affairs. Does she have other family members or friends who could counsel her & give extra support to what you have said to her? Are you too from Queensland or are you living in another State? Is there anyone there who can help her when she returns after her work on the boat?

As I said, legally you can't do much except what I've suggested above. Yet, as in any situation we find ourselves or our loved ones in where there seems no way forward, we have to be cast on the Lord God to help & intervene. Continue to pray for her, commit her safekeeping to the Lord, pray for her health, her safety & her senses, that she will consider her health & the concern she is bringing onto you & others.
