    what is gambling?

    is gambling a sin?

    what is a mortgages loan?

is a mortgages, is it a form of gambling?

gambling is a risk to get rich or lost it?

to me a mortgages loan is also a risk, because if you are no longer able to pay, you also lost it?

so what is the difference between the two in the bible?

Mishael, then perhaps you could show me an answer to this verse John 7:38 "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his[their] belly[heart] shall flow rivers of living water" [Jesus was talking old testament scripture]

in case others wonder about why this question has anything to do about Revelation see Revelation 21:5&6

5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

6And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

I guess I started that fracas. As a rule, Jesus wasn't buddies with the religious Pharisees and Sadducees.

He did share with Nicodemas and tell him he needed to be born again. Like....

I shared with some JW ladies my testimony and a little human kindness. I didn't tell them they're going to hell and slam the door. I did say when the world starts unraveling at the seams... they might want to use a KJV Bible to understand what's happening next.

I planted some seeds. Later I asked the Lord to rain on those seeds. End of story.

I'm an old evangelist and I've seen everything, on the streets. Heard zillions of excuses. There would be more salvations if Christians would pray to the LORD OF THE HARVEST. Every day. Who knows what a little seed and a lot of rain can accomplish.

Even children need to hear the gospel. Who knows what age "the age of accountability" is??

This is a forum to teach evangelism. We have to get over the "fear of man" to cold contact a friend or neighbor with their need. If we don't know how to start, there are scads of websites on google that are teaching it.

I didn't have that when I first got started. I did it all wrong and got zero results. I returned home dejected and laid my head on my arms. Next I hear a voice saying, "Are you done doing it your way?" My head popped up, and I said Yes Jesus!!! The rest is history.

how did the discourse on revelation turn into the [ jw's]? it's no wonder people have trouble understanding this book of scripture. to the point where you overlook valuable key to the book in rev.1:19 seek god, not useless fights over beliefs as it says in proverbs " if you believe you believe to yourself, if you doubt you alone will bare it." is god's greatest gift to us love? without this this gift what is it all for? reflect and meditate...

    Amen Brother Jesse.

Their doctrine doesn't Just deny the Jesus we know, They also deny the bodily resurrection.

Had the experience of speaking to JW's twice, first time they don't believe Jesus Christ is son of God 2nd I was told the earth we live on now is the new one to come I showed them Gods Word they said we have our own bible I said have a nice day.

The epistle of 2 John makes mention of this verses 6-11 if I'm understanding correctly, to the best of my understanding.
  • Jesse - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 2 years ago
    Mishael,

Please do not take this the wrong way because I know you love the Lord and have a true concern for the spiritual welfare of others. Everything you share is out of love and concern for others, so the motives of your heart are quite evident. If the Lord puts it on your heart to go door to door with the gospel, you're to be commended. But we should not commend those who are going from door to door spreading a false gospel. The JW's are listed as one of the largest cult groups in the world. They are spreading a false gospel and should not be commended for that regardless of their zeal.

I've spoken to some JW's in the past and from my experience, it is almost impossible to share with them the same Jesus that you and I know and love. They do not want to hear it. They refuse to hear it. I have nothing against a believer going door to door, but only if the Lord is putting it on their heart to do so, otherwise the Lord is not going to bless that, even if they are "doing it for the Lord!"

I still have them, along with the Mormons come to my door on occasion. I refuse to let them into my home. I am never rude to them. I just tell them I'm not interested and they leave. We are told in 1 John 1:10 that those who come to you bringing false doctrine, we are not to let them into our house, neither bid them God speed (Well greetings), because if we do, we are partakers with them in their evil deeds. Evil deeds are not to be commendable.

Again, please don't take this the wrong way. What what you are doing is completely different than what the JW's are doing. You may do things like going door to door because the Lord is putting it on your heart to do so, but they are going door to door for a different reason. They go door to door because each one of them has a quota that they must meet each month. The Lord is not going to bless that because it is not of Him. The Lord will never send people to your door to bring a false gospel, false doctrine, or a false Jesus!
  • Be Kindness to Others and Believe in the Bible - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 2 years ago
Good morning. I know what you are saying is true. I could just NOT open my door. Something inside me said to be kind. I told them my testimony, and why I believed IN Jesus. They tried to hide the truth about why Jesus's name wasn't in their Bible. I said it's not right when your Church doesn't have the same Bible as everyone else.

It's like, they know, but don't want to admit to it. I told them I was a street evangelist for Jesus Christ. I was not ever going to toss out what I know to be true. They stopped trying to convert me. I don't know how that's going to pan out for them.

I hope that as real prophesy and the end times speed up, they might think that Christianity is the Truth. Like Ezekiel, we tell them the TRUTH, so their blood is not on our hands, so-to-speak. We've done our best to communicate it. Then we pray for the Holy Spirit to do the part that we cannot do: convict them of their Need of Jesus, for sins.

I NEVER apologize for what God requires to be born again. We have to agree we sin. It's there like a big Stop Sign at the intersections of life.

How can 2 walk together unless we be agreed, as touching the truth. It was last Christmas, that I let my JW friends know we were not going to be able to agree on who or what TRUTH IS. It's Jesus Christ. He's knocking on the door of our hearts.

I have very strong convictions about television and media, but I do not force anyone to share that with me. I find the Bible to be entertaining. I LOVE to tell the stories. Like, how Gideon was hiding from God behind a wall, lol. Like, don't pick me; pick someone else. God saw something in him that Gideon didn't see. God really was patient through the fleece process. Then Gideon finally agrees, and the Lord whittles his army down to some guys who drink water with their eyes UP looking for the enemy. That's humor, drama, everything.

There's a lot of stories like that. And it's sad that more people can't communicate this to others.

    Alex,

The problem lies in handed down man made doctrines. Rather that reading the accounts for themselves, they choose the easy path as opposed to the path less traveled. The answers are there for the taking. Discerning the word equals dividing the truth.

Good morning Mishael But the J.W.'s Teach a very sick thing they go door to door teaching that God Almighty neva had an Absolute Son, he was just a Token Son like ADAM , Another Adam . How sick is that .As if Jesus cannot multiply after the God kind,Jesus said to whom the WORD came ( HIS SEED ) it made them Gods and the scripture cannot be broken . It was God Almighty that said that everything has to multiply after its kind and we see that Jesus cd multiply after the God kind as that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit as God Almighty is spirit which is the H.G. the God kind the Children of Promise via the seed of Christ . When he breathe on them he was multipling after the God kind their Child was the H.G. The Child of Promise . His breath was his Word which is his SEED. That was the great Promise i will multiply thy seed as the Stars of Heaven ,thus the Sower and his seed ,his Words. Behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world, Had he not been God the Son his blood cd not have been the Atonement for the sins of the WORLD.

The one thing the JW's do that is commendable (in my opinion)

Is that they go door-to-door, hand out tracts and visit with people face to face.

Does ANYONE in here do that, I wonder?

They have a doctored up Bible that doesn't have JESUS'S name in it. That is very bad!!!

Remember the woman caught committing adultery? We are so ready to throw stones at people who are doing something right BUT WITH THE WRONG BIBLE. They visit, listen to sad stories....evangelize.

Do any of our neighbors know we are Christians? They can ask questions? Be prayed for if they have needs? Write it on a slip of paper and give it to the Pastor. We are admonished to "do the Work of an Evangelist".

If you need a Holy Spirit gift to evangelize, pray for it. Have hands laid on at church. We're all called to WORK THE HARVEST. Pray to the Lord of the Harvest (Jesus). Ask to have an offering taken up to purchase gospel tracts.

Some people are elderly and could use a prayer of encouragement. See if they need a New Testament Bible. (Very low cost)

These people may all be at the Bema Seat judgment of Jesus. :D All this stuff is going to come up and be mentioned. How wonderful to get a crown for doing something so Easy! Yep. Go google Five Crowns.

I do not give the JW's a hard time. Sometimes I invite them in :O and give them a glass of cold water. Chick Tracts dot com has tracts just for JW's. Yep. Cheap too.

    Let's not throw stones... Mishael

The Jews reverend the Name of YHWH so much that they use Adonai instead.

( LORD.) The Jehovah witnesses put the name Jehovah back in every where they figured it was taken out, "PLUS" in verses it doesn't go to deny the deity of Christ.

That's their main pitch when saying they have the best translation.

    I hope that helps.

    God bless.

    Chris,

Not so, KJV has accounts of "Jehovah" being used:

    Psalms 83:18

That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

    Isaiah 12:2

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

    Exodus 6:3

And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

    Isaiah 26:4

Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
  • Chris - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 2 years ago
Hi Vivnce. As Adam as shared the link, you will find that the Name Jehovah does appear in the KJV. However, I think what you might be referring to is that the JW Bible (New World Translation) shows "Jehovah God", when our KJV shows it as "LORD God".

So if you look at this example: Genesis 2:4 in the KJV: "These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens", then in their NWT Bible, it will read as, "This is a history of the heavens and the earth in the time they were created, in the day that Jehovah God made earth and heaven."

Maybe this is what the JW you spoke to was referring about this change. They use 'Jehovah', & we have it as 'LORD' (in capitals), though 'Jehovah' does appear as a word four times in the Old Testament of the KJV.
  • Believing for the Lost - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 2 years ago
The Jehovah Witnesses took Jehovahs name out of THEIR Bible. When you buy a Bible or adopt one from Goodwill, check who Published that Bible.

I had a couple of really nice J.W.'s ladies come by my place for 4 months. They listened to my Testimony, miracles that I've seen, stories of when I was a Street Minister in several cities.

    Stories I've got.

Their drive to make converts is like granite. It would be by Divine Intervention and a lot of prayer and fasting; that the Word might penetrate their hearts.

I was as lost as anyone could be. I know that God makes house calls. I'll never get tired of thanking Him for that. Let's step out onto the water like Peter did, and ask God to save some more Jehovah Witnesses.

By the Blood of the Lamb, and by the Word of our Testimony, they can hear us. The Jews have been blinded and their ears can't hear Jesus. A day will come when the deaf will hear and the eyes will see. Have faith and see the Salvation of our Lord.

Hello, have you tried searching for it in the KJV? Link

Since it's in the Bible it would be hard to argue that it was taken out.

I ran out of room in my last message, but I wish everyone could just follow God and Jesus, and not be tempted.by such a weakling like Satan. I don't understand how he is able to get into people's minds the way he does even though he is chained, and why he would ever think that he could be stronger than God. I can't fathom ever leaving the benefits God provides, he created everything, and a lot of times when I pray I always tell him how wonderful he did with creating this world. Jesus I have no idea how to thank enough because he died for us, and there are so many out there who ignore such a major thing that he did for us.
  • Nicole - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 2 years ago
Thank you Jesse. No it definitely wouldn't be, especially in Milwaukee, this city isn't the safest anymore. We would love to rent a house, but since I am disabled I have 0 credit, and my husband's credit got messed up because of his mom, it's building back up but slowly. My husband is a chef at a restaurant, and his friend there happens to be an investor, I asked if the three of us would be able to get a place together because it is something his friend has brought up just recently, so my husband is going to talk with him more about it next time he sees him. I wish I had relatives that would takenus in for now, but most of my relatives are greedy and only think about themselves, and his family are the same way.

I agree, well it was mostly my friend's mom who said okay to us being here, she is a wonderful lady, and I love being around her she is definitely not a dark soul, it's just her son Andii who is. For the most part we Ignore him, there are genuine times where he wants to believe in God and Jesus, because I tell him about a lot of things from the Bible, and he will get very curious and I sometimes feel like I've helped him see the light, but then he gets drunk and goes back to where he was. Sometimes my husband when he gets home from work will walk in, go up to Andii and yell "JESUS LOVES YOU" and Andii will just stay silent or he'll get freaked out lol!

That is a very super valid point you've made, and it's true. Ir's like the blues Brothers "The Lord works in mysterious ways". I mean after all we are supposed to openly talk about God and Jesus to all and spread the love,

I really like talking with you Jesse, you are a great man. I will absolutely pray for him, and keep trying to make a breakthrough. Miracles happen, and I've even had the pleasure of God taking my spirit out of my earthly body once to show me heaven. I was a little overwhelmed when I came back but now when I look back on that experience I smile.

    Nicole,

First of all, I am sorry to hear about the passing of your mom and grandmother. You and your husband are in a tough position and my heart goes out to you both. I am not sure what your options are but living out on the street would not be good. If you and your husband are financially able to afford an apartment, have you looked into renting a small house instead, or perhaps a trailer? In many places, the cost of renting a house is comparable to being in an apartment. I don't want to pry into your personal business but perhaps a relative could take you in temporarily until you find a place?

I am trying to make sense out of why this person would offer up their home to a couple of Christians. I understand the friend thing, but I don't understand a Satanist sharing his home with a couple of believers. That part doesn't make sense to me.

The Lord works in ways we oftentimes cannot understand. Maybe by you and your husband being where you're at now, this could be His way of bringing conviction into this person's heart. I'm not saying that's the case because I don't know the answer to that.

Either way, you belong to the Lord. Trust in Him always. Go wherever He leads you.

Please pray hard for your friend. Pray that the Lord might use you and your husband as a witness of what Christ has done for you and that His will might be done in your circumstances.

I am seriously considering living in a motel for a while, we do pay the guy's mom $300 a month to stay here, we have been in touch with various landlords since March of this year, but no one ever gets back to us, or they rent to someone else. My husband and I don't have any relatives to stay with as my family stopped talking to me after my grandma's passing, and my husband's cousins at first agreed to us living with them until we found our own place, but then they backed out at the last minute. I can't leave this state since I am on disability, and all of my doctors are here. I definitely would not rather live with a Satanist over a Christian, we definitely don't plan on living here for very much longer.
  • Adam - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 2 years ago
Hi Nicole, just so you know, I would rather stay outside in a tent anyday than stay under the same roof as a satanist. That's great that you've sought advice, but even though I think you have some concern, to me, I don't think you're taking this very seriously. I don't think you've tried very hard or have exhausted all your possible options. If it were me, I'd move out immediately THEN I'd decide where to go. I'd stay at a motel for the first day, then travel to the nearest relevatives if I had no money. I'd then call a church- have you tried that? To me it sounds like maybe you'd rather stay with a satanist than with a Christian. I just don't understand it and it sounds like your faith might be in jeopardy.

If it were truly important then you would follow Matthew 5:30 and do absolutely everything possible immediately, even cut off your own arm, to get away. To me it would be an absolute emergency, but I can see you're taking your time and a little frustrated with only one landlord? (aren't there many more, can't you leave town?), but otherwise enjoying free rent. What is more important to you, free rent or your faith? This should be a very easy decision. You have to choose your priorities and what is most important to you. I'm concerned for your soul.

    Joshua 24:15

    God bless...

Hello Jesse. Yes, I have read all of those scriptures before, I actually did stop being friends on social media with that Satanist, and even though we live under the same roof my husband and I stay in our room with the door closed. My husband is Christian, but he never seems to get plagued by Satan. We both want to leave and have our own home, but landlords keep ignoring our applications for apartments, and if we weren't here we would be out on the street. I lived with my grandma for many years, and was her caregiver all the way until she passed in 2020. I met my husband in 2017, and he moved in with me in 2018, and married in 2019. My grandma's kids sold the house in April 2021 while we were still living there which left my husband and I to almost be homeless.
  • Nicole - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 2 years ago
Hello Adam. My husband and I are living here temporarily with the Satanist, because I lived with my grandma and mom all my life, my mom passed in 2013, and my grandma passed in 2020. Her kids sold the house while we were still living there, and we had no where else to go. We are always putting in applications for apartments, but the land lords keep giving the apartments to other people. My Satanist friend offered us a place to live because he didn't want to see us on the street, but we very seldom converse with him. Most of the time my husband and I stay in our bedroom with the door closed.
