Wesley's Notes for Revelation 8:8

8:8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea - By the sea, particularly as it is here opposed to the earth, we may understand the west, or Europe; and chiefly the middle parts of it, the vast Roman empire. A mountain here seems to signify a great force and multitude of people. #Jer 51:25|; so this may point at the irruption of the barbarous nations into the Roman empire. The warlike Goths broke in upon it about the year 250: and from that time the irruption of one nation after another never ceased till the very form of the Roman empire, and all but the name, was lost. The fire may mean the fire of war, and the rage of those savage nations. And the third part of the sea became blood - This need not imply, that just a third part of the Romans was slain; but it is certain an inconceivable deal of blood was shed in all these invasions.

People's Bible Notes for Revelation 8:8

Re 8:8,9 THE SECOND TRUMPET. And the second angel sounded. Then the scene changes. And as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea. Now a great burning mountain is cast into the sea. The sea is the theater of destruction. And the third part of the sea became blood. Again there is fire and blood indicating carnage and destruction. In the first judgment the third part of the earth suffers (Re 8:7); but now a third part of the sea. The symbols imply that some mighty volcanic power shall be turned upon the sea, and make it a scene of awful warfare and destruction.

Genesis 12:3; The covenant of God with Abraham is ours too when we walk in the same steps of our father Abraham. It is absolutely on account of us, and how the world and individuals think and believe and act toward us, that God either blesses them, or detests them. It is on account of our friendship and obedience and prayers, that the angels are sent forth to punish the world for their wickedness.

You claim that Rome became a Christian Empire, but Rome was never Christian, it was pagan before Constantine, during Constantine's time and is still pagan to this day. Nowhere in scripture is there any indication Rome became Christian. Please show me in scripture where Rome became a Christian Empire.

The biggest sign you'll see coming is when they make the WORD of God of no effect. They've already made His laws of none. Everyone is reaching across the gap to join hands with Rome in the ecumenical movement and they have no idea of the consequences and won't until they have to obey man's doctrines over God's . There's another movement here also that labels Bible believers as "haters". That's bad

Luke 11:29 Christ said no sign given to that particular evil generation. Reason being they wanted proof of the Messiah. What more proof is there than Christ Himself performing miracles and teaching? Their minds made up not to believe. If Christ couldn't convince them, a sign certainly wouldn't, as proven by the sign of Jonah. Israel on the map again is huge sign. Christ said, "watch!" Mark 13.
