Wesley's Notes for Revelation 7:14

7:14 My lord - Or, my master; a common term of respect. So Zechariah, likewise, bespeaks the angel, #Zec 1:9|; 4:4; 6:4. Thou knowest - That is, I know not; but thou dost. These are they - Not martyrs; for these are not such a multitude as no man can number. But as all the angels appear here, so do all the souls of the righteous who had lived from the beginning of the world. Who come - He does not say, who did come; but, who come now also: to whom, likewise, pertain all who will come hereafter. Out of great affliction - Of various kinds, wisely and graciously allotted by God to all his children. And have washed their robes - From all guilt. And made them white - In all holiness. By the blood of the Lamb - Which not only cleanses, but adorns us also.

People's Bible Notes for Revelation 7:14

Re 7:14 Thou knowest. "I do not know, but thou dost". These are they which came out of the great tribulation. Some great period of trial of the church is meant. They have stood the trial, and been true. And have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Have made themselves spotless by trust in the blood of Christ.

Discussion for Revelation 7

Verse 1: These destructive winds show just how extensive the great tribulation and Armageddon will be. It is important to prepare for such events right now.
  • Word
God is a God of the living not the dead. Anyone who has read the Bilble knows that there are no souls in the graves. Christ when crucified went to the tomb which is the other side of the void known as hell and brought those out from all the way back who had lived by the law but didn't make it and Christ save them before He sat on the throne. Paul teaches of the two bodies we have flesh-spiritual.

Think about this- why didn't anyone that Jesus raised from the dead speaking about heaven OR complaining about having to come back here? All the seals and Trump's are progressive through the ages. The show is over at the last trump when Christ decends with a shout. With the voice of the archangel. Ecclesiastes says when you're dead you know nothing. Resurrection is at last trump according to God
  • Word
Bruce I believe the dead in Christ have never died, they are not in flesh but they are with Him right now and First, yes they are, first with Christ. We will be changed at the 7th trump and when they return we will meet them in spiritual bodies. Oh, all will change at the 7th trump and that's the good, bad, and ugly.

word:The Lord's Word is like people telling stories. Some events will be Future, some will be Passed, some will be Present.God's Word says at The Last Trump The Dead in Christ Shall Rise First.Remember ye The Words which were spoken of The Apostles---there will be Mockers in The Last Time:JUDE17-19/Evil men and Seducers wax Worse, deceiving and being deceived:2Timothy3:13 /Is The Father Calling.

Bruce you have there that the dead in Christ shall rise first but you also should tell that Paul was consoling people who were worried about their loved ones that had past on already subject matter starting from vs 13 the dead.Paul was telling them that they have already have risen, that the dead in Christ shall rise first at the 7th trump, that's the last trump because they are already with Him.
