Wesley's Notes for Revelation 17:6

17:6 And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints - So that Rome may well be called, The slaughter - house of the martyrs. She hath shed much Christian blood in every age; but at length she is even drunk with it, at the time to which this vision refers. The witnesses of Jesus - The preachers of his word. And I wondered exceedingly - At her cruelty and the patience of God.

People's Bible Notes for Revelation 17:6

Re 17:6 I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints. This implies that she had been a great persecutor and had slain multitudes of the people of God. There is only one body claiming to be the Christian Church to whom this will apply. There have been some harlot daughters of the harlot mother who have also engaged in persecution, but there is only one self-styled Christian body on the earth of whom it can be said she "was drunk with the blood of the saints".

As far as 7 mtns people bring up Rome (city on 7 hills) as Babylon, but really a 1-world system sits on 7 hills (continents, i.e. whole world). But if you need it literal, Israel ALSO sits on 7 hills. Mt. Zion, Mt Olivet and so on. Rev 11:8 shows us where 2 witnesses' bodies are lying, "where also our Lord was crucified." Jerusalem has always been focal point. Will be heart of 1-world system.

Babylon city of confusion scripture tells us Satan will be in Jerusalem claiming he is Christ. Satan as the false messiah can twist scripture faster than any of these preachers out here and he can make it sound so true when it's a lie but you can bet those preachers will jump on the antichrist wagon and bring all their ignorant sheep with them. Now if someone is smart they will hear two witnesses.

It's Israel Jospehs dream- Revelation 12 and Revelation 14 Genesis 37 Why they going to hate her and burn her- When they say peace and security- ! When you see Israel surrounded know her desolation is near and when you see the abomination of desolation standing in the Holy ground know your redemption draws night-

Could that Babylon mother of harlots be none other than Mecca? If we looked at the haj in Mecca.. the sea of ppl from above churning around the Kaaba resembles the sea. Babylon is none other than Mecca.. worshipping the meteor that fell from heaven which is found in the Kaaba.

Rev 17:18 18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. This sure sounds like NYC. The UN is there and reigns over the kings of the earth. Very clear and Rev 18 tells the story of the destruction of the USA and NYC. God is about to judge the USA. God please protect your children at this time.

Revelation 17:8 says that 'the beast was', which means that he was alive, 'and is not', which means that he died, 'and yet is', which doesn't mean that he was raised from the dead, but rather that his activity is alive through his worshippers, and that his writing are still in existence. So, we have to look into history to know who he was, and realize that he is not actually alive today.
