Wesley's Notes for Revelation 14:2

14:2 And I heard a sound out of heaven - Sounding clearer and clearer: first, at a distance, as the sound of many waters or thunders; and afterwards, being nearer, it was as of harpers harping on their harps. It sounded vocally and instrumentally at once.

People's Bible Notes for Revelation 14:2

Re 14:2 And I heard a voice from heaven. Whose voice is not stated, but it was a mighty voice, the voice of harpers harping with their harps. Always when great triumph are achieved or about to be achieved, heaven rings with the praises of singers. Compare Re 5:8,9 7:10-12 11:17.

Discussion for Revelation 14

  • BSP
Verse 6 shows that angels have an interest and are involved in the preaching of the good news.
  • Bruce
word: that is the 5th Trump out of 7. ( 5 months of torment, then The 6th Trump, then the Last Trump. All The Trumps take a lot longer then 5 Months. The Locusts tormented the lost.
  • Word
When God says that He shortened the time for the elect sake in the Gospels and you read in Rev. 9 that the locust will be here with their king for 5 months, and He says it twice, 5 months I got a good idea it's 5 months.
  • SabbathkeeperandWife
Still on that 5 months thing that is a complete non-fitting fairly tale. All that is covered in 9. This is 14 and about the 3 angels messages. They tell the punishment for association with the MARK. Rome says their MARK is Sunday. God's seal is in the 4th commandment. The God made Sabbath, not man's. The persecution will come when a Sunday law is made like they HAD in Europe and are doing again
  • Marilynn for verse 4
I think Dejan may be right.
  • Word
Read chapter 9 they will be here 5 months and they have their king, their rock, their instead of Christ, antichrist. This is the book of the revealing, to take off the cover,to in lightening, to make known to the things that will come to pass and little Titus ransacking Jerusalem isn't nothing compared to the Great day of the Lord when Christ flattens Jerusalem and Rome has nothing to do with it.
