    Giannis,

Well said. He is our Father and also, in Jesus, our Lord, Savior, and also in the Holy Spirit, our Helper, Sanctifier, Comforter. If we are to know the names of our God from the Scriptures than we can address Him by these names according to our circumstances. In Exodus God told Moses that His name was I AM WHO I AM (YHWH) and that Abraham called Him Almighty God (El Shaddai). In both the Old Testament and New, He was called "God Most High". (Far above all other creatures) speaking of God's transcendent nature. I suggest that it is good to study these names to understand more about our God and to call to Him inprayer by these names.

The right thing is to pray (and ask things for) to Father God in the name of Jesus Christ.

As far as names of God are concerned you must know that every name God has has the purpose to show us a God's characteristic

So Sabaoth means Lord of Armies or powers that is the Powerful God, Eloheim means God . Adonai means Lord. Jehovah or Jahve probably means the existing God and so on . God used his names to reveal Himself to people especially in the Old Testament. Thus God's names have a discriptional purpose, they have nothing magic which when you say the Heavens open to you

The name of God in New Testament is Father, because we are reborn by God who becomes not only our God but our Father as well. God is not father to all people no matter who they are or what they believe but He is Father to reborn christians. And that is done by the Spirit of God . John 3:1-8

    Hi Wendy,

Pray to "God" there is only 1 God, and he knows who he is!

    Ephesians 4:6

"One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."

When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray he responded:

    Luke 11:2

"And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth."

Jesus asks us to pray to the God the Father, in His Jesus name:

    John 16:23

"And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you."

    God Bless.

I wasn't aware they are giving them away?

I find many barely used, new smelling Bibles and Strongs Concordance at Goodwill stores: Salvation Army stores too. Their loss is our blessing. I give them away to people who want one. Walmart stores have Bibles near the gaming section. Priced Reasonable. Some are NIV or KJV.

    May God bless your search.

    Matthew 12

43 When the unclean spirit (demon) is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

44 Then he saith, I will return into my house (you) from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

What it means in verse 44, is that we have not filled up our house (our spirit and soul) with enough Bible and, on-our-knees prayer, to frighten the demons into fleeing and staying away.

FAMILIAR SPIRITS are like family spies. They watch you and your family, looking for ways to come back in. They deprive you of restful sleep; fears you're failing, fear travels with "torments",

    Doubt and painful memories.

You have to close the door. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you the gift of Discerning of Spirits. You're not going to see anything. But God is faithful to His Word. If you discern trouble, speak: "I bind you evil spirit and I cast you into outer darkness. Do not return. In the NAME of Jesus Christ. Amen. Praise to the name of Jesus!" Ask God for an Angel to guard your home for a season. The angels will escort evil spirits out! God watches over His Word. Study the Chapter in the Bible, when Jesus was on the 40 day Fast. How did he defeat Satans temptations? What did Jesus say? A command + a scripture.

Furnish your "house" (you on the inside), with the Bible. Ask the Holy Spirit for his gift of discerning of spirits. (human, God, evil spirits)

Angels like praise music :) Listen to more music than the drone of a tv. My friend Carman died last year; listen to some of his tunes on YouTube, like Revival in the Land. He was a radical Christian. I'll pray for you. Mishael

These words clearly indicate Christ's promises from the Father; hence Satan's attempt for Him to fall to temptation to break continual obedience at the end of the 40 days of fasting in the wilderness ( Matthew 4:2 and following verses). Clearly, we have promises such as in verse 8 where we will only see the destruction of the wicked with our eyes and verse 7 where a thousand fall at our side; 10000 near you which could indicate those on earth at Armageddon or the battle for Jerusalem ( Zechariah 14) or our view of the judgments as they are cast to earth from heaven as seen in Revelation. We are also promised that God will go before us and be our rear guard ( Isaiah 52:12); and the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers him ( Psalm 34:7). Angels are ministering spirits; who have worked to free prisoners from jail in the case of Daniel in the lions den; and Peter in prison. When we are seated in heavenly places ( Eph. 2:6); hence He is our refuge ( Psalm 91:9). We do well to heed to the example of Christ; when he neared the end of His trial at His weakest point the enemy attacked. Patiently waiting until He was ministered to by angels afterward is a lesson to us to trust in Him (v. 2); and see that the Lord is good ( Psalm 34:8). We must endure to the end; but that is only in His strength. We remember that He is our High Priest; ever interceding for us ( Hebrews 7:25 and many other verses in that book).
