Psalms Chapter 56 Discussion

Psalm 56. In this Psalm once again we see the pleading of David to God in relation to the pursuing enemies. The story of the backdrop in Gath was complex; but basically David had a tenuous relationship with the Philistines while he made them rich fighting surrounding tribes; but acting as though he was fighting against Israel so as to obtain residence and favor while there. Obviously; there would be enemies from without and within as well as Saul always in the backdrop; even if put at bay for a time.

Matthew 10:28 comes to mind when we look at verse 11; and verse 13 also shows salvation of the soul spiritually overrides any fears of man in this world.

Verse 8 needs some explanation. The book here seems to reference something more specific than that of the Book of Life. It may be the same thing or something similar to the Book of Remembrance in Malachi 3:6-18. God surely knows all things and in fact every word we speak we are held accountable for in Judgment Day. ( Matthew 12:36). We are reminded here and with apparently another 99 verses in the Word about sorrow in the lives of believers (see Isaiah 53:3 for the life of Christ as it truly was rather than some sentimental story).

Finally, it should be noticed from verses 3 and 11 that TRUST is an important aspect to true belief in Christ. It is more than mental assent or knowing about Christ. It is trusting our lives to Him; our possessions; our relationships; our vocations; our ALL. It is helpful through this not to place trust ultimately in anything or anyone else; especially ourselves. As Psalm 23 states even through the shadow of death He shall guide us. His Word is true ( 2 Cor 1:18-20; Rev. 3:14). Let us put our trust in Him today and always.

I have often pondered our God's ways. To be shown that each step, each breath, and each tear has been ordained. They're all set already in His counsel before God even created. Each ordained for us to cry. Sometimes we wonder at the tears He gives...yet, He has a perfect plan for each one. They are so precious to Him that He will not let them fall, but He gathers them up into a bottle. Why? Oh, that we may know His love. For...each tear reminds us that we have a Saviour Who loved His Father and His beloved so much that He shed tears and anguish that even dropped as blood. For - our sorrows come because we are flesh and sin's sorrow we feel. Man must die and sin's curse is death. But, our sorrows have been taken by our Man of Sorrow. Our tears which deserve to be shed in anguish of God's wrath, have been shed by our Christ. Isaiah 53:3-4 "He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted." And, in Him, we also have the wonder that we live. For, His tears were wiped away, and He sits in glory. And, He now gives us each tear that we understand His perfect love. That when our tears drop, we know He's gathering them until that day when there will no longer be a need for us to behold Him through them. For - we will have all tears wiped away, and we will behold Him in perfection where no sorrows are, but only Joy eternal! Nothing can separate us from His love. His vow is upon us, and Christ has fulfilled all. Oh, may we praise Him!

    Yes, Manuel,

Jesus is the Perfect One to accomplish all that was needed for our salvation. Perfect humanity to fulfill the Law, to shed His blood for our atonement, to die in our place; perfect divinity to bear all of our sins and absorb all of the wrath of God for our sinfulness, to defeat the devil and death, to raise himself up on the third day, and to receive back the glory He had before the incarnation in union with the Father and the Holy Spirit. I don't think we can every fully comprehend the amazing mystery of the incarnation of God in Jesus. But we can know that being human, He connects with us. And being God He connects us to the Godhead. So, we are very loved and privileged to have been drawn to Him by the Father, united to Him by the Spirit, and thoroughly redeemed to God by Him.

I see by understanding Bible's teaching, and the comunion with God through The Holy Spirit, and by faith on Jesus's intercetion, that most psalms apply to The Messiah as The second Adam and simultaneously God's Begotten Son. Meaning by that, Who is The messiah and what woud hapen to Him as man, entirely submited to Gosd and dependent on Holy Spirit's Power and protection to resist devil's tentation and seduction lies. Jesus resist using divine Power as sugested by satan. Jesus goes ahead of us, his disciples, and commands : Follow Me, and where I wil go, shall you go, as I am wil you become, what I do shall you do also, and even on a larger scale, into all the world. I send my disciples into the world, men like me, as I am David's son. Christ's total and perfect manwhood, andjustice, from a sinless life, is the ground that allows God, to save us, as He ressurected His Begotten Son, after the aknowledgement of the 24 Elders council, in heaven!

May the Lord God of peace and comfort bless all on this forum. May His face shine continuously upon you. The Lord's arm is not shorten that He cannot bless. His righteousness is upon us through His Son, the Anointed one. His healing is all who call on HIm. His peace is upon us because of His Precious Blood that was shed on the Cross of Calvary for all who trust in Him.

May our country's leadership call on the Lord for wisdom and courage to turn to your Word. May we pray with boldness and fervor that will glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Chronicles 7:14, 15

When God had pick David to be the king. King Saul wanted to meet david; so he asked Jesse for David to visit him. And knew that David would replace him as king. That angered king Saul to the the point that he wanted to kill him.. King Saul initially through a javelin at David; and through a course of events, after David defeated the giant goliath. King Saul using his men to seek David out. And David made many enemies. The Lord was with David through every twist and turn throughout his ordeal. David prayed and God made him away out. No wonder David said I will praise the Lord at all time and praise will continually be in my mouth

Many say here: I am godly, I have the Holy Spirit! Verily, the Holy Spirit is of God. If the spirit in you be Holy, ye are of God. Yet, being now on trial, you confess not that the Son of God, even the Christ child; is come in the flesh. As it is written, For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

"Thou tellest (number, account of) my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?" When the Lord said that "...your reward shall be great in the heavens;" He was saying that He will pay us our wages for working for Him. When the Angel stood at the Altar of incense before God's throne, and offered the prayers of all Saints; this caused the Day of His Wrath to come!
