    To 'God loves a humble heart' - Matt. 9:13, Mk. 2:17; Lk. 5:32; ROM. 5:8;
  • God loves a humble heart on Psalms 5 - 7 years ago
"God hates sin but loves the sinner", along with "never ever ever judge or rebuke anyone" is a lie that came from Gandhi, not God. It is the favorite verse of those who want to make Christianity compatible with the sinful, rebellious ways of the world. Psalm 5:5 clearly states that God hates workERS of iniquity. God only loves and forgives those who humble themselves and repent.

I admire David because he was very sincere in prayer and he caught the vision of how important it is to pray early in the morning...the Lord asked Job gave you command the morning...when a person prays early in the morning they will see change...start adopting this principle and you will testify...blessings

This Psalm is a powerful instruction for the inner life. In verse 3, the word "direct" should more accurately be "set in order, give account" and "my prayer" in italics would not have to be added for completing the sentence. So when we appear before God in our morning prayer and Bible study, we come as "setting in order, and giving account" to Him: the rest of the Psalm is for examining ourselves.

TO SONJAWILSON - PS. 5 -- LOOK UP MATT.4:19; 4:21; 4:25; 9:9; FOR REF. TO JESUS "'CHOOSING' US, AND NOT WE CHOOSING HIM. HE KNOWS THE HEARTS OF ALL MEN AND CHOOSES THOSE WHO HE KNOWS WILL FOLLOW HIM. AND WHY NOT? WHY WOULD HE CHOOSE THOSE WHOM HE KNOWS WON'T FOLLOW? GRANTED, SOME LEFT HIM AFTER FOLLOWING HIM, BUT HE ALSO KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN. IT WAS THEIR CHOICE TO LEAVE HIM.
  • Irene123 on Psalms 5 - 8 years ago
TO SONJAWILSON - PS. 5 -- WE DO NOT 'ACCEPT' CHRIST; HE 'CHOOSES' US AND DRAWS US -- MATT.15:16; MATT. 20: 16. WHEN TURN TO HIM IN REPENTANCE - HE IS DRAWING YOU; YOU AREN'T CHOOSING HIM; YOU HAVE TO 'THINK' ABOUT THIS CONCEPT AND ASK - IN JESUS NAME - FOR UNDERSTANDING; HE'LL GIVE IT TO. UN-REPENTANT MAN CANNOT 'CHOOSE' GOD. YOU MAY THINK YOU ARE CHOOSING HIM, BUT HE CHOOSES YOU.

The unsaved will be judged at the Great White Throne Judgement. They are already guilty, but must stand and be sentenced. The saved will go before the Judgement Seat Of Christ. We will be given our rewards and must still give an account of our lives.

John 3:17-20 - For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, becaus

  • Tom on Psalms 5 - 8 years ago
He is not judging our sins but our works in how we were or weren't faithful in living for Him and telling others of him. Sin is paid in full.
  • Sonjawilson on Psalms 5 - 8 years ago
I am confused about Judgement day what are we being judge for? if you accept christ and ask for forgiveness he will forgive us our sins, if we have been forgiven why is he judging us,
  • Fields on Psalms 5 - 8 years ago

  • Rosa on Psalms 5 - 8 years ago
Oh! How God loves us. To understand that he hears us Individually is so assuring. We must have such a relationship with him that we know he hears us when we pray. Especially when wronged by people being used by the enemy! To understand some of the benefits of being his child should constantly bring comfort each time we read this passage. " Protection, Joy! Favour! Awesome Father!
  • Mercy William on Psalms 5 - 8 years ago
God's favor is all that we need in this life to keep on surviving. According to David, God Knows the truth when people lie against you over your innocence. At that point in time, you are helpless but God's interceding favor supersedes the negative thought of people towards you. "For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield." Psalm 5:12.
  • Rsol on Psalms 5 - 8 years ago

Psalms 5:5"The foolish shall not stand in thy sight; thou hatest all workers of iniquity." (Were you taught that God hates sin but loves the sinner?)This verse says the opposite of that.
V9-10 (David prays for the destruction of the wicked)
  • M Stewart on Psalms 5 - 8 years ago

  • Patricia on Psalms 5 - 8 years ago
God is a God of righteousness, justice and mercy. David knew that he can trust him with his life and he can go to him with any situation. He knew that God was all in all. And so his faith leaded him to seek God face constantly, and not for himself, but for all who needed his grace, mercy and protection. David had a good heart, he loved God and others.
