The source of life comes from Jehovah God. We owe him our lives and should show our gratitude everyday.

This Psalm took me into the heart of Jesus on the cross wherein I felt forsaken by lover and friend and could only pray, Father into thy hands I commend my spirit. For if those who reject me without cause and those who would only destroy me by thier love and loyalty to others while casually using me both never come to a knowledge of saving faith I am a man alone and God says, it is not good.

As a good earthly father protects and provides for his children our God serves as a greater source of provision and shield. The wicked may plot to destroy God's children yet God will prevent the wicked from harming us. Trusting in God is wise. Only a fool looks to the work of his own hands. Father God, we thank you and we love you. Teach us to worship and give praise to your Holy Name.

I think rightly so this scripture tells us about God's divine protection in our lives. I also think even when it seems like we have not been protected - bad things have happened to believers I think we have also the assurance that everything finds meaning with God and moment of brokenness is lost in Him. When we go to Him we have the peace that we have a place of refuge
  • Michael C. on Psalms 36 - 7 years ago
For a long time, I thought this Psalm is talking about others; but this morning I see it talks about the way I was before I was saved; and what I fight against daily; to keep awake and guard a tender conscience. I think this Psalm talks about lawlessness in the heart, that tramples down fear of God, to take what it wants; and the Lord's mercy upon the ignorant when we repent and trust in Jesus.

The most natural place for a little chicken, when it feels scared is under the safety of its mother's wing. We know that some animals are absolutely ferocious and terrible defenders and protectors, if there's even a hint of a possibility of threat to their little ones. In that regard, there is not much difference between a chicken and a bear. The Lord put that in them! He that is the Author of life, and the creator of the spirits of all living, must certainly have those qualities in Himself, in their divine perfection and especially for us, whom He so loves!

I think Psalms 36:7, is saying at all times if you just trust in the Lord you be okay in this world. As long as you keep the faith, the Lord will protect you.
  • MockingBird on Psalms 36 - 7 years ago
Surely the Lovingkindness of our Lord is truly magnificient !! That is saying lightly : for His lovingkindness cannot be rightly spoken of in His True nature : Because of that , we , the children of men put our Trust under the shadow of His wing: OH !!! How Great is our God !!!

Vs. 6 - God's judgment for those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior is a decree of guiltless. We are declared free from all the penalty of sin and death because we have accepted the One who has set us FREE and free indeed.

  • Nan on Psalms 36 - 8 years ago
As I read Ps 36 today my heart was encouraged with faith and hope. Ps 36:7 is one of my favorite Bible
Verses. I'm ever reminded of His Lovingkindness whenever a flock of birds fly (shadow of His wings) over me
As I'm walking or driving. YHWH is the God to be praised, the Creator of heaven and earth!
In Him I put my Trust because of the blood of the Lamb. Ps 63:7, 57:1, 91:1,4; Rev 5:12.

The greatest pleasure in life lies in the realization that regardless of our present circumstance, their is solace in God. Some situations may never find resolution in this world but in judgment God makes all things right.

"Except but for the grace of GOD, there go I. " This is a saying understood by those who know the grace of GOD as the fullness of His mercy by HIS SPIRIT and TRUTH ! Psalm 36:1 speaks to the fact that those who reject HIM reject HIS commands to be holy as HE is HOLY ! That is how many "also ran 'christians ' " find themselves using GOD 'S WORD to justify their alleged upholding "justice " where they are really approving of abominable behaviors, i.e. transgressions of the whole law of GOD - by approving only what they agree to as they issue forth judgment "when. " Prayer: FATHER GOD, may we love YOU and be obedient to you in our thoughts and deeds in the spirit of I John 3:4 and 9. May we be so renewed in our hearts daily to have "a heart after " YOUR "own heart. " May we be bold to endure and overcome to be caught up with CHRIST, and brought into YOUR presence in the new heaven and new earth where YOU and YOUR TEMPLE will eternally be in our midst ! Please forgive the transgressors, and out trespasses FATHER GOD as YOU draw the unsaved and keep the saved. May we each through YOU find that YOUR WORD is good and pleasing to the senses. Thank YOU for helping me to utter this prayer through the power of YOUR dispensed HOLY GHOST as received into my temple - my whole heart, body, mind , soul and spirit. All praise, glory, honor, strength, riches and power ... unto you. Amen.

  • Christopher on Psalms 36:9 - 9 years ago
There are many messages an ideals in the world, both mine and yours, and many of them different. I wish all messages were this clear, and understood. Without our willful acceptance of this, we truely are lost. By acknowledging something greater than ourselves, may we see. Like light, it can be hidden or blocked, but it remains there. I hope you know it is always there, so long as you remain vigilant. God is referred to as the Everlasting Light, and though we as mortals can diminish, if we choose, can help spread that Light to others. Hope, Love, and Understanding.
  • Lori on Psalms 36 - 9 years ago
Our God is awesome, he can move mountains, take us though the valley and through the rain. He cannot lie because if he said it he will do it we must consider it done. No matter what we face in this messed up world his children must have faith that he will deliver his children from the hand of the enemy. He may not come when you want him to trust and believe he will show up and when he does he is going to show up and show out because when he do it 's a done deal. I love you Lord.
