Psalms Chapter 25 Discussion Page 2

This Psalm was laid on my heart. It is so comforting to know that God does not " Remember " our sins once

we are forgiven. The one who remembers our past sins and transgressions is Satan. We are not his children

so what God says is what count. We do not have to ask for forgiveness for the same sin over and over, unless

we are committing that Sin again. We must remember that God will not strive with us and He is not to be

played with. I love God because I am his child , forgiven and my name is written in the Book of Life.

    Bible Verses About Homosexuality

    Genesis 19:1-11

That evening the two angels came to the entrance of the city of Sodom. Lot was sitting there, and when he

saw them, he stood up to meet them. Then he welcomed them and bowed with his face to the ground.

"My lords," he said, "come to my home to wash your feet, and be my guests for the night. You may then

get up early in the morning and be on your way again." "Oh no," they replied. "We'll just spend the night

out here in the city square." But Lot insisted, so at last they went home with him. Lot prepared a feast for

them, complete with fresh bread made without yeast, and they ate. But before they retired for the night, all

the men of Sodom, young and old, came from all over the city and surrounded the house. They shouted to

Lot, "Where are the men who came to spend the night with you? Bring them out to us so we can have sex

    with them!"

So Lot stepped outside to talk to them, shutting the door behind him. "Please, my brothers," he begged,

"don't do such a wicked thing. Look, I have two virgin daughters. Let me bring them out to you, and you

can do with them as you wish. But please, leave these men alone, for they are my guests and are under my

    protection."

"Stand back!" they shouted. "This fellow came to town as an outsider, and now he's acting like our judge!

We'll treat you far worse than those other men!" And they lunged toward Lot to break down the door. But

the two angels reached out, pulled Lot into the house, and bolted the door. Then they blinded all the men,

young and old, who were at the door of the house, so they gave up trying to get inside.

    Leviticus 18:22

"Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin."

    Leviticus 20:13

committed a detestable act. They must both be put to death, for they are guilty of a capital offense."

David asks for help so that he will not be ashamed. Here, "ashamed" means being hurt and feeling pain. It is more than feeling sorry. David does not want his enemies to triumph over him. When you triumph you say how great and good you are and how weak your enemies are. David says that the people that say what is not true should be ashamed. He means his enemies. They are also the enemies of God.

Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Romans 8

"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us". That includes "so called" global warming, asteroid impact, volcanos, earthquakes, solar flares or any other "supposed judgement of God".

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1John 4:18

    GLOBAL WARMING IS COMING:

2 Peter Chapter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be BURNED UP.

11 [Seeing] then [that] all these things shall be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on FIRE shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

1 Corinthians 7 is the marriage chapter.

There is no verse about gay marriage. It's simply an abomination.

People who persist In that lifestyle are assuredly going with satan....who hates all human beings. Wants to steal, kill and destroy them. They're sorta like evangelists for the evil side. Everyone they convert is headed for the lake of fire. But first they'll probably be beheaded by Antichrist. No blindfolds.

Hello, usually someone with an addiction puts that first in their life above other things, above God. If you put something above God that is called idolatry. Also, our bodies are holy temples loaned to us by God and are made in his image. So, there's more than one angle that shows addictions are bad and sinful. God bless...

Mamma T You are on the right track about sodomy. The King James Bible is clear, new Bibles are not.

Modern media is pro everything God hates and calls abomination. Find out who owns the media is a worthy step toward identifying the antichrists.

Zondervan is the exclusive printer of the NIV Bible.

Zondervan is the largest printer of Bibles in the English speaking world.

They are owned by Harper Collins which prints gay porn and the Satanic Bible for the church of satan.

Their parent company is the News Corp we know as Fox TV.

    Bad tree = bad fruit.

They are changing the word definitions. Gay used to mean happy, now it is a sodomite.

A nation that tolerates things the Lord calls abomination brings curses upon the nation.

    Sound familiar?

My adult children are pro homosexuality. The way I read the bible as quoted in Lev. A man should not lay with a man nor a women with a women. That to me makes it pretty clear.

I was also looking for the quote that says that a marriage should be between a man and women, but with these "New revised" versions of the Bible that are made more socially acceptable they have taken all of the meat and potatoes out.

    Can someone help me.

These few verses let's us know if we truly love and personally, know the Lord Jesus as Savior or if not, we are found liars: John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments." 1 John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

GLOWING UP AS a kid I NEVER KNEW what God meant to me. I'm grow now and I can't go another day without prayer. Because what God have done for me, I have to praise him. Give God the praise and honor that he so rightly deserves. Fear God, for what he will not do for you if you done honor him. Fear God for his goodness, for his mercy and his grace. Come to God in prayer, or in song. Tell everyone how good he is. He let us all see another day. And I realize that everything I do without going to prayer first. If I DIDN'T believe in my Lord and savior, I most likely will not be here today. The Lord is my rock. My high tower. I can talk to the Lord at any time. Hallelujah, glory to God. In reference to psalms 25.

Lead me in thy truth - In the way which thou regardest as truth, or which thou seest to be true. Truth is eternal and unchanging. What God sees and regards as truth is true, because he sees things as they are; and when we have the divine estimate of anything, we understand what the thing is. It is not that he makes it to be true, but that he sees it to be true. Such is the perfection of His nature that we have the utmost assurance that what God regards as truth is truth; what He proclaims to be right is right. It is then His truth, as He adopts it for the rule of His own conduct, and makes it known to His creatures to guide them.

And teach me - Since this would be understood by the psalmist, it would be a prayer that God would teach him by His law as then made known; by His Spirit in the heart; by the dispensations of His providence. As applicable to us, it is a prayer that He would instruct us by all the truths then made known, and all that have since been revealed; by His Spirit in its influences on our hearts; by the events which are occurring around us; by the "accumulated" truth of ages; the knowledge which by all the methods He employs He has imparted to people for their guidance and direction.

For thou art the God of my salvation - The word "salvation" is not to be understood here in the sense in which it is now commonly used, as denoting deliverance from sin and future ruin, but in the more general sense of "deliverance" - deliverance from danger and death. The phrase is synonymous with "preservation," and the idea is that the psalmist regarded God as his preserver; or that he owed his protection and safety in the time of danger to Him alone.

On thee do I wait - That is, I rely on Thee; or, I am dependent on Thee. He had no other source of reliance or dependence.

All the day - Continually, always. He was really dependent upon Him at all times, and he felt that dependence. It is always true that we are dependent upon God for everything.
  • Doris Hollins on Psalms 25 - 3 years ago
Psalm 25 is another acrostic Psalm. It expresses the alternation of fervent petition & sober meditation which often characterizes the soul's waiting upon the Lord. There are three main moods in the prayer, but they are closely bound together. Verses 1-7, A Plea for Guidance. Verses 8-15, The Goodness of the Lord. Verses 16-22, A Prayer For Deliverance.

Eunice, that's a great Psalm to meditate on. My favourite verses there are verses 4 & 5. The words: show me, teach me, lead me, all point to our attitude before Him: "on Thee do I wait ALL the day". It is in that place of humility, submission & longing for His Word to come to us, that we can experience the beauty of His Presence & the Power of His Word. The Lord bless you & refresh your spirit as you feed on Him.

Trust/faith in God is not without evidence.Nobody can truthfully deny Jesus was on Earth and died on

Calvary, because there were too many witnesses.Prophecy predicted what God would do and he

accomplished that for all to see,and what he still intends to do is written and will come to pass.Whereas

only 4.9% of the universe is ordinary material, provable, and the balance is speculation,as of yet, unproven.

Sinful man chooses to spend time in pride of his knowledge of so little, and the Creator of all displays

himself so openly.Revere him and he shows his covenant."If the Son therefore shall make you free, you

shall be free indeed."John8:36 Free of the penalty for your sins."Who his own self bare our sins in his own

body on the tree, that we,being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:by whose stripes ye were

healed."1Peter2:24 Dead to sins,as in separated from consequences of sin, though not perfect in this world.

But for the grace of God, none would be saved. The glory of God will never diminish in eternity, and

believers therein are satisfied."We love him, because he first loved us."1John4:19

Now is Christ in the flesh, long suffering; lest any excuses himself, avoids repentance and perishes. For it is written, We have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an Angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.
