  • DALE E STAHLBERG on Psalms 14
I have read the first 10 chapters of the Psalms,

seems as though you could apply the same to todays political scene.
  • Rolando Martinez on Psalms 14
Psalms 14 pertains to me because I have been that fool who says "there is no God". At 17 years old, while spouting my unbelief, I experienced the power of God's word (Hebrews 4;12) when my classmate, Diane Garcia, showed me Romans 6;23 in her Bible. I read "the wages of sin is death" and that shut my mouth. I could say no more. From that moment until now, my life became a living testimony to the truth of those words. In the following years my life was like that of the prodigal son: a downward spiral. I ended up like the demoniac in Mark 5;1-20: horrible depressions, violent temper (though cowardly), foul thoughts, (Read Romans 1;28 to 32).

Just as Jesus came to rescue the demoniac hiding in the tombs, Jesus rescued me. By then I was becoming suicidal but, one night, as I held a gun to my head I thought "then what?" and fear made me put the gun away. That's when I called on God, in ignorance because I did not understand the gospel, hoping against hope that there was a God because I had said for so long "bah, there is no God!" my soul was in total darkness. Hoping that He would help me. May this confession serve as testimony to the goodness of God because He saved me in spite of my blasphemes, the corruption that my life had become. I did not deserve God's mercy nor His salvation yet He began to heal my soul, to bring comfort to me. He brought Christians into my life who shared God's word which convicted me until I openly admitted "I am a sinner". I said that to Ron Norton when he asked if I was a Christian. He admitted that he was a sinner and showed me Ephesians 2;8,9 in his pocket bible. I finally understood: our salvation is a gift and not by our well doing because Jesus suffered the penalty for our sins at the cross.

Bless you Lord Jesus and may all who read this testimony be encouraged to trust in you!
  • Mishael - in Reply on Psalms 14
God bless you for sharing. I pray your testimony will help others who are in the Valley of Decision.
  • Wayne goldsworthy on Psalms 14
The people of Israel where mixed with the Christian countries for a portion of time and returned back to Israel still without a heart for the truth about the Lord and only became subjects to the worldly corruption which disappointed God

We allow immoral things go on as well, are we serving God, or are we guilty just as well?
  • Vanessa on Psalms 14
we live in the day that people deny there is a God , because it makes them feel better about their sinful ways, they are fools and those that follow them as well, dont get caught up in the worldly advice stick with God's word, do not condone their actions either. We sit by now an watch allowing live born babies die what are we doing? We vote such people into office, sad aren't we
  • Standaman on Psalms 14
The fact that there is "none that doeth good, no, not one." proves that the only ones who do good and are saved are those who believe in Jesus. Cause since all of us are evil sinners undeserving of eternal life (Romans 3:23) then that means the only way to be saved is to have your sins forgiven and righteous imputed upon you by faith and the only way that could happen is by believing in Jesus.
  • Mild Bill on Psalms 14
Any person/sinner is changed from fool to fellowship with God, only by his grace. We don't find God, he is the potter, we are the clay. It is nonsense/ignorance to believe, or suggest, he owes us anything, due to anything, from within us. We love him because he first loved us.1John 4:19. Sovereign, Almighty, Savior, Love, is he alone.
  • BSP on Psalms 14
Verse 1: God views those who do not believe in him as fools. Such ones can become corrupt and have detestable actions.
  • A disciple on Psalms 14
"Oh that THE SALVATION OF ISRAEL were come out of Zion! when I AM brings back the captivity of HIS PEOPLE, JACOB shall rejoice, and ISRAEL shall be glad." As the heathen beat their plowshares into swords, and beat more fiercely the drums of war; The God of Israel, the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, is working all these things for the salvation of His People Israel, and for all grafted in by faith.
  • A disciple on Psalms 14
"I AM looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, seek God." Some may say that the Lord knows their hearts, when they are reproved for sin and bad behavior. Yet when it comes to the very root of their moral choices and character they play ignorant. God KNOWS that we understand the truth and His commandments: our duty is to truth in the inner man.
  • A disciple on Psalms 14
"The fool hath said in his heart . . No God! They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good." Notice that it doesn't say, The angry hostile hater . . but, The Fool! It is a moral behavior of willful stupidity. When the Lord called the scribes and Pharisees, Fools and blind; the word in the Greek literally means, Stupid, Moron; which is what men act out morally.
  • Mild Bill on Psalms 14
Any,all, none means no exceptions. And from them, he gives refuge, to whom he pleases, to make them righteous. "The blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works"Romans 4:6 "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.John 8:36" "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost."Luke19:10
  • Irene123 on Psalms 14
    v. 1 - We need to pray, pray really and sincerely pray for the 'fools'. Pray with REAL compassion - which compassion ONLY the Holy Ghost dwelling in us can give; we cannot 'conjure' it up ourselves.
  • Adoniyah Yisrael on Psalms 14
This passage of Scripture isn't condemning the whole earth as if there wasn't anyone doing good or not understanding nor seeking God. It specifically identifies the non-compliant subjects as the fool being the children of men. There is a difference between the children of men and the sons of God See Genesis 6:1-2 4 . ALSO Psalms 82:6,7 I have said, Ye are gods and all of you are children of the Most High. But you shall die like men... In other words the sons of God now die just like men die. The only way to know the difference today is to observe who is eating up the people identified in verse 4 of Palms chapter 14. In Genesis 3:15 the Lord God put emnity between the seed of the woman and serpent. Therefore we have to observe the fruit or works to identify who is creating all the hell on earth and who is catching all this hell that is being created. Therein lie the truth. I speak strength and endurance unto all the children of the Most High the sons of God that they may endure to the end not being caught in the trap of materialism. Blessings unto all you who strive for the good of all! Amen.

God was looking down for the good in people but unfortunately all he saw were the people doing bad.
  • Norm on Psalms 14
Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. These pervert Your Word, Father. These take money and teach lies, Father. These PREACH falsehood in many buildings called by YOUR NAME, Father GOD. These be among that spiritual wickedness in high places that influence Your people wrongly. In CHRIST JESUS we pray Your will be done, all for Your glory and Your name's sake. Amen Jeremiah 23:1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD. Psalms 14:3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Belief comes from the word of God and those who don 't believe have not taken the opportunity to read His word. I find it very hard to deny our Lord and Savior because man cannot create a universe and save me form all my sins.
