    Yes Mishael

Those of us who study to become teachers rarely dream to face what is happening now in our schools. We enter this field to teach children and help them become good citizens. And as Christians teachers, we are indeed missionaries in our actions and demeanor in our teaching positions. In the public schools we are not there to teach the Christian faith anymore than another is a teacher to teach Islam, Buddhism,or any other religion to children that are not our own. But we are outward expressions of our inward life in it shows. Over my career I had many parents ask me during conferences if I am a believer in Jesus, and I can say "yes". These were so happy that their child had a Christian teacher, even JW and Mormons!

We should indeed pray for teachers.

I am so sorry for how you've been treated or ignored. But God knows that you did your best with what you had to work with.

Thank God, they had a Christian teacher who knew how to pray. There will be 2 Crowns waiting for you. :)

    THE INCORRUPTIBLE CROWN

This is also called the imperishable crown. This crown is given to believers who faithfully run the race, who crucify every selfish desire in the flesh and point men to Jesus. God calls some people to do things that will require some sacrificein the way they will live and conduct their lives. Some people may be called to be a missionary in a far off and poor country. They will literally be working for almost nothing in earthly terms. They will have to sacrifice the money, possessions and life-style they could have had, if they stayed home in their own country. The Bible says,"Know ye not that they which run in a race run all; but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

1 Corinthians 9:24-25 This verse also implies that these people will also receive this crown for the sacrifices they were willing to make for God to successfully complete the call and mission God had called them to do.Basically run whatever race that God has set out for you and be the best you can be for God. Be willing to make whatever sacrifices there may be to successfully complete the mission that God has set out for you.

"Henceforth there is laid up for me A CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:8 To live a righteous life for God will really be worth your while as you will definitely be given this crown by God Himself once you enter into heaven.

    Thank you Mishael,

I, too, never spanked my kids in anger. I told them what they had done wrong so they would know why they were spanked. I used other methods of discipline as well. As they got into their preschool years, often we would just pray together and ask God for forgiveness. Also, had them go to their rooms to think about it and encouraged them to apologize (but emphasized, only say you are sorry if you really are sorry you did something wrong to another person. And I taught the one that was being apologized to not to say, "that's o.k." because it was not o.k. I told them to say, "I forgive you." Instead. This helped a lot because, as most know, brothers will be brothers. My sons did not have much negative interactions with each other once they got school aged.

As a Kindergarten teacher, I experience first hand the effects of who were not trained and left to their own, mostly with a T.V. or tablet to keep them busy. I was privy to some very outrageous behaviors from a handful of kiddos each year who did not think that they should be corrected or pay a consequence for their bad behavior towards me or other students. But as the year passed, most of these kiddos came into line with my help. one or two went on to first grade with severe behavior problems and these followed them through school because most teachers and parents did not view bad behavior as I did (as sin). I was not really allowed to speak about behaviors this way, so most students were dealt with using Psychology methods, but I knew that if the sinful nature was not dealt with, these problems will just be abated as long as the reward given for good behavior was frequent and consistent (which rarely happened due to lack of in classroom support for these students to do the rewarding).

Parents were defensive (understandably to a degree) but most of these parents of students with behavior difficulties blamed the teachers for "triggering" their child or out to get the child on every little thing.

    Proverbs 29:15

The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself brings his mother to shame.

    Proverbs 19:18

Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare him for his crying.

    Proverbs 22:15

Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

    Proverbs 14:3

In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.

    Proverbs 13:24

He that spares his rod hates his son: but he that loves him chastens him betimes.

Hebrews 13:17 - Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

Colossians 3:20 - Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

Deuteronomy 11:19 - And ye shall teach them, your children, speaking of them when thou sit in thine house, and when thou walk by the way, when thou lie down, and when thou rise up.

Comment: When I spanked my son, we had 15 min time outs to let go of anger and fear. I told him exactly why he was being punished.

Later when he began lying I made him a "deal". If he would tell the truth no matter how bad it was: I would forgive him. He learned honesty after that. Later, pride in his responsibility for his own failures.

Book of Proverbs has lots of insight into child rearing. If the scripture says 'beat', it does not mean mark up the child's skin. Teach personal responsibility. Reward when they do things right; a hug, a popsicle and a smile.

I can't help but take notice of the fact that this is KING DAVID saying these things. David, the one who slew Goliath as a teenage boy, when the armies of Israel were hiding out in fear. This is David who God allowed to operate as a King and a priest, and at times probably as a Prophet to Israel. This is David, who will one day sit again on the throne of Israel. David, who was in the lineage of the Lord Jesus Christ. If this man says he does not exalt himself into matters that are too great for him, how much more should we be doing the same.He goes on to say that he behaves himself as a weaned child : in other words, he considers himself to be just beginning on his journey to knowing God and knowing about the things of God. Happy is the man who operates in this sort of attitude.

My Holy Father teaches me that man must lose all pride to be fruitful in Christ and to be thankful to GOD. Pride has no place in Christ Jesus as pride is contrary to the meekness and lowliness in Christ's heart. For it is written of Christ, I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just: because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which has sent me.

For the very lie ye now speak, it is written in the Holy Scriptures, Now we call the proud happy: yea, they that work wickedness are set up: yea, THEY THAT tempt God are even delivered. Verily I tell ye, Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: And I will punish the world for THEIR evil, and the wicked for their iniquity: and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease.

True I am, wordly pride or fleshy glory in how great we think we are is very much Satan's focus but the Scriptures confirm we are to have Godly Pride or Glory in who we are in Christ Jesus and others too because without Him we are all nothing But it seems some don't know the difference between what is Earthly or Spirital like with God's Love Joy Peace Wisdom and Pride and so there reject His too.
  • I am - In Reply on Psalms 131 - 4 years ago
Nay. Pride is of Satan, contrary to the meekness and lowliness of Christ. The anointing of my Holy Father teaches that it is impossible for the proud to be thankful, even fruitful to GOD, for he receives not the gifts of GOD. For pride is to praise thine own self, not GOD. It is written, The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Amen! God bless you and Merry Christmas, Happy new years and may others come to know the Lord this year, and be thankful with a grateful heart
  • Thankfulness - In Reply on Psalms 131 - 4 years ago
Very True Vanessa, Wordly or fleshy pride is the pits but as the Scriptures below confirm and I'm sure you will agree, we do need to take Pride or Glory in who we are and for others in Christ Jesus or we will minanise and ignore how Wonderful it is and not give Heartfelt Thanks to Him. Gal6:4-2Cor5:12-27- 2Cor7:4-Jas1:9. Blessings for Christ-mas and the New Year.

Verse 3. Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and for ever... 2020 this prayer is still ..., ..., because of the work of JESUS, EMANUEL, CHRIST, therefore we all have hope available to us, if we are willing to accept it. HOPE that is built on nothing less than JOHN 3:16.
