Truly, the Lord God is supreme. He is in total control. Let all therefore submit and worship Him.
Only God can be attributed those claims; therefore, it’s God’s sovereignty that makes Him superior to all other gods and makes Him, and Him alone, worthy of worship.

There are parallels with the Great Hymn of the Aten from the reign of Akhenaten. Not surprising considering the relations between Egypt and Israel.

This is a most interesting psalm where all the qualities of the Almighty God is defined for you to appreciate. It goes further to let you understand the extra gifts of bread, wine and oil that gives strength and gladdens the heart of man. It is a psalm of life's needs met on your daily living. if I have my way, I will recite this psalm everyday.

    V. 1 - " ......."O Lord my God ......."; As I read this just now - it brought to mind Thomas, "My Lord and my God." Thomas was a Jew and would NEVER called Jesus "my Lord AND my God" if he hadn't believed Jesus was - God the creator of everything - Deuteronomy 6:4.
  • M .C,

His mercy is new every morning. He is unsearchable yet close as a brother. He is majestic yet everpresent. Enigmatic.

Psalms 104: 2,3 Who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain,...who maketh the clouds his chariot, who walketh upon the wings of the wind.
These verses are some of the very most beautiful in the entire bible. The whole chapter is wonderful. The last verse is interesting to dream about as well.

Revelations, etc. tells us the earth will be destroyed, then a new earth will be built. Psalms 104:5 says it will not be removed forever. V. 5 does not say the earth will never be destroyed.
  • James
In verse 5 we have Gods promise that this earth will never be destroyed and it will remain forever

How wonderful and marvelous are thy works Oh God. For He sent forth His spirit and they are created. Psalms 104 30. Creation came into being from where? The sea came into being from where? From where comes the galaxy? This hanging planet earth came into being from where? The air we breathe that gives free oxygen for our sustenance flows from where? You are indeed wonderful and marvelous God.

  • MockingBird for verse 24
God is in His Great and Majestic wisdom is so powerful and at the same time merciful. I look back at the time there was a great snowfall and when I stepped outside. It was so peaceful : Man had not gotten out and dirtied it up yet. Then the Lord spoke to me : The work of righteousness shall be peace and the effect of righteousness shall be quietness and assurance forever. My people shall dwell in peaceable habitations and sure dwellings. Praise God for His wonderful works to His children.

I have found Psalms 104 to be one of the most magnificent Scriptures written. It shows us how God 's order puts everything in place and how regardless of what we do or think nothing changes God 's plan.

Evolution a false science--- Satan 's another invention. Yet man continue to cleave to it, and call it science. They choose deception instead of truth, death instead of life.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, - How I LOVE this psalm. I wake most mornings with the chorus "Bless the Lord, O my soul, Bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name. It gives me joy in my soul for the day and encourages me to praise Him for his blessings, his mercies - new every day. Bless the Lord, O my Soul
  • Pattie for verse 14
As humanity progresses, meat will be used less and less, for the teeth of man are not carnivorous. For example, the lion is endowed with carnivorous teeth, which are intended for meat, and if meat be not found, the lion starves. The lion cannot graze its teeth are of different shape. The digestive system of the lion is such that it cannot receive nourishment save through meat. The eagle has a crooked beak, the lower part shorter than the upper. It cannot pick up grain it cannot graze therefore, it is compelled to partake of meat. The domestic animals have herbivorous teeth formed to cut grass, which is their fodder. The human teeth, the molars, are formed to grind grain. The front teeth, the incisors, are for fruits, etc. It is, therefore, quite apparent according to the implements for eating that man 's food is intended to be grain and not meat. When mankind is more fully developed, the eating of meat will gradually cease. Baha 'i Faith Writings

Psalms 104. How beautiful is this Psalm, showing in what Wisdom God created everything.Think of the birds that gather in the sky every October, thousands of them and fly south to a warmer country, until winter is over.Only a wise Creator can do this. He has created the nature and animals with so much care...So, He could not leave the falling man in the hands of the enemy, but made a beautiful plan of saving us on the cost of His only Son Jesus. No wonder David says in verse 33 I WILL SING UNTO THE LORD AS LONG AS I LIVE. I WILL SING PRAISE TO MY GOD WHILE I HAVE MY BEING. Yes,I need to praise Him with all my heart tonight for every little or big things He does in my life every day. Thank you,Father.Amen.
