Do you believe divorced people can go to heaven if they're remarried?
  • Mild Bill on Psalms 1 - 3 years ago
A tree, planted in the right place where sustenance is and purpose is achieved, from beginning to end, a work of God.Chaff, the ungodly, has no root, been released from it's sole purpose, as the way of sinners is, and has nothing but contempt for God. Then allowed to drift into dust once again.Whereas, the tree has a history of accomplishment and glorifying God,never to be forgotten in his sight. There is no time where the rule of God is not in effect, ever, or his memory fail those to whom he has imparted righteousness.
  • ALL SIGNS SIMULTANEOUSLY HAPPENING THE SAME TIME on Psalms 1 - 3 years ago
    JESUS GAVE US SIGNS:

"Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?"

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

17 Let him which is on the housetop NOT come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, no flesh would be saved.

You need a study Bible. I use the King James Study Bible and it is wonderful! Provides explanation of scripture, references to other scripture, many notes that are very beneficial and translation of words. You can also use your phone, tablet or computer to Google scripture and include the word "meaning"(exp. John 3:16 meaning) in your search. Pray for the Holy Spirit to help you understand what you are reading! As always, give thanks to God for the ability to have a Bible in your hands!

    Using this Website for Searches

Some words that I see, I run through THIS websites SEARCH BOX to see if the search engine has that word in it.

If the word your looking up doesn't fetch some scriptures, then it's not in the KJV. The website will ask if you want to google search? It will offer scriptures it thinks will help you find the word you are searching:

    Similar but not the same.

Don't be afraid to search around and see what all this website can help you with in your studies.

**The Commentaries are within the Search Box. Click/touch your scripture. It will turn yellow. Scroll downward and there you can read the Commentary by a scholar.

If you get "lost". Just back arrow out or go out and come back in again. Don't be afraid of it. You'll be an expert in no time.

Always ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand scripture. He is your Teacher. He's just waiting on you to ask for HELP.

2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.

    Psalms 1:1

"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful."

    Hebrews 11:1

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen

    James 1:17

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning

Faith is a substance from above.

In the Bible there are lots of things that show that abortion is wrong and shouldn't be done for one the Bible teaches that all life is valuable and shouldn't be taken from someone. It also shows that all life is precious all you have to do is look anywhere in the Bible and see these principles taught.

We do not sit in council of evildoers, we meditate on the word of God day and night,, we are held to the same account of those who do not follow the word of God and do what is pleasing to oneself , and then call ourselves righteous, seeking power and greed, shouting hatred, killing unborn babies, calling what is good evil, an what is evil good, allowing pride sinners parade in the streets and we stand with it, while churches are being told to be silent, we are like the wheat being tossed to and fro, not I, I can not even cast a vote for those that hold those values, I am grateful for the price Yeshua paid for me, a sinner saved by grace, a servant to the Lord till he calls me home, he is my Rock, my Refuge, my Fortress, under his wing I shall abide. He loved me long before I knew his love, he sent his beloved son to take my penalty God Bless you all and may peace be with you all

The answer is always best from God's Law and Matthew 5 verse 32 states....

    ______________________________________________________________________________________________

"But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery:and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced shall commit adultery."

    _______________________________________________________________

    And there it is.

In the cold light of dawn.

FORNICATION is the only legitimate case for divorce, before God.

We are ministers of our own tabernacle not built with hands. This is the Christian's primary purpose. If we reign in peace, we reign as a pattern to that which will be when Jesus and his bride consummates their marriage in the heavens at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

    :)
  • Hebrews Chapter 8 the pattern - In Reply on Psalms 1 - 3 years ago
    Hebrews 8:4-5

For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things,

as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle:

See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

    Hebrews 8:3

For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.

    Hebrews 8:2

A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

    Hebrews 8:1

Now of the things we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens.

    Revelation 5:10

And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Jesus reigns on the right hand of the throne of God in the heavens; the born again believer reigns with the indwelling Holy Spirit as Kings and priests on the earth.

This is the pattern fulfilled until time is no more. Jesus on earth is reigning by his Holy Spirit in his Kings and Priests in the peace and order of Melchisedec.
  • Hebrews Chapter 7- does it not speak to us on Psalms 1 - 3 years ago
    Hebrews 7:22-28

By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.

And they were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:

But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.

Wherefore he is able also to save the from the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

For such an high priest became us,

    who is holy,

    harmless,

    undefiled,

    separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Who needeth not daily, as those high priest, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's:

for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

    Hebrews 7:19

For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did, by which we draw nigh unto God.

    Hebrews 7:20-21

And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest.

(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)

Levi was still in the loins of Abraham when Abraham paid tribute to Melchisedec.

The word is what cleanse you

the word of God is Called water

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

41Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
  • Rosemary - In Reply on Psalms 1 - 3 years ago
Baptism is a commandment. Whenever the word "must" is used there is no getting around it. I don't quite understand what an "act of obedience" is. I know it is written "to obey is better than sacrifice". If we don't obey, we sacrifice our salvation. Jesus said "Ye must be born again" or we cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven.
  • Mishael - In Reply on Psalms 1 - 3 years ago
    John: 3:5-18. Being born again.

The water baptism is an act of obedience. To Wash away our sins and rise into the new life.

Upon being born again the Holy Spirit is given to minister to the new life in Christ.

John 16:8-16. This indwelling is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus.

There's much to learn about Him. 2 Corinthians 12-14 chapters

Any time anyone needs help understanding scripture: find the scripture and ask the Holy Spirit to explain it.

May your lives bloom as begin a lifelong relationship with the Son of God By the Study of His Written Word and His Living Spirit.
  • Rosemary - In Reply on Psalms 1 - 3 years ago

the lord said in the begging divorce didn't exist you left your family for your husband and became one flesh but because of the their time in the land of their captivity and the hardness of their hearts Moses allowed them to divorce but in the new testament the lord say's no more and saving for the cause of fornication ( sex outside of marriage ) which is a sin causes her to commit adultery and if you marry another you can't go back to your first husband it's abomination and the person who marries you commits adultery also, so imagine that scale of continual sin committed in the land by not knowing the law and commandments of god.

but if neither of you have laid ( fornicated ) with someone else you should be alright because people are not suppose to divorce for every thing just fornication

If believer is married to an unbeliever, It is no sin to stay married to the unbeliever. For what knowest thou, That the believer may convert the unbeliever later.
  • Mild Bill - In Reply on Psalms 1:6 - 3 years ago
While Peter spoke well, you might consider the more important issue of whether you both are headed to heaven. Otherwise, it was and would still be an unequal union, if one of you are saved and the other isn't.

Any intermediate relationships, between the break and reunion, would be considered adulterous. Knowing where you stand with God is far more important than where you stand with each other. Remember, God loves you and has a resolution to all problems you face. Marriage is a three way relationship, with God being the all important binding. Love is not based on feeling, but commitment. God so loved that he gave, unconditional commitment on the part of God to graciously save people, as revealed in his word. He deserves our love, whereas, we having been sinners never deserve his.

According to the Word of God, God hates divorce hence at some point you may remarry after you have resolved your differences and forgive each other. To answer your question yes God recognises that union.

  • WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO ABOUT JESUS - In Reply on Psalms 1 - 3 years ago
God is not going to bring us to himself with any kind of gimmick.

He sent HIS WORD. He sent Jesus the Son of God. Through Jesus's death on the Cross and Resurrection 3 days later. Jesus was born through a virgin. Babies have their Fathers blood type; not the mothers blood type. His blood was PURE from the sin of humankind. That's why His blood was powerful enough to save and heal the whole world....(past, present, future). IF THEY BELIEVE.

Every Walmart in America sells Bibles. The Bible is how we learn WHO Jesus is. Why does HE love us?

If you go into it with a "what can Jesus do for me? Can he make me rich? Make me look like King David? You're not going to feel the Love.

We give Jesus OUR SINFUL lives and receive HIS SINLESS life. Good trade? It cost Him everything!! He suffered huge, and He did it for YOU.

You should watch the movie that Mel Gibson made called: THE PASSION. It is so realistic; I felt sick, I cried for days.

That's just a movie. Jesus lived that; he died; He was resurrected!! He is alive!

He sees you right now, reading this.

As soon as you say YES, your life will be changed.

This website has different helps to study with. You may want to look over the one that asks if you seek salvation. Good to know what it's all about.

He's coming back soon so don't wait too long to make a decision. He's alive. He's closer than you can imagine.

I pray with all my heart that you would find Jesus the same way I did.

what do you mean by Has God made himself known to you as your Savior? how can i know if he did
  • Mild Bill - In Reply on Psalms 1 - 3 years ago
Confidence in salvation is the possession of believers, that is,what Christ did on the cross was not just for the world, but for you in particular.Has God made himself known to you as your Savior, yes or no?You never earn salvation and you never deserve it. God in his mercy withholds immediate judgement for your sins and is gracious in giving his love/son to sinners.Has God made himself known to you as your Savior, yes or no? Everything in your life is secondary to the answer of that question, yes or no. God awaits your answer, now.
