Marlene, you do have to watch who you associate with on a regular basis, but at the same time how can you be a light to a sinner if you aren't around them for them to see your good works? Have you invited them to church, have you tried to talk to them about God? Sometimes its the little things like kindness that matter the most. Remember your fruits of the spirit Gal 5:22
  • Lucinda Palestrant on Psalms 1 - 8 years ago
Marlene, Psalms 1:1 is telling believers not to take advice (counsel) about Godly things from unbelievers, don't live like, them. Unfriendliness is not one of God's commands. Will you be showing them the love of Christ? Where is the "charity" in your answer? Mark12:33, 1John4:18,Romans13:10, John4:11and20, Psalms119:165, Deuteronomy10:19, etc.
Satan will love it when you snub them!!
  • Marlene on Psalms 1 - 8 years ago
I have been struggling with my decision not even to say hello to some of my neighbors and co-workers who I know are agents of Satan. The struggle is to be confident that this decision is in the Will of God. Psalm 1 has therefore provided that answer. I totally agree with Richard and Maurice you have to be careful who you associate with as a Christian to ensure that the devil keeps his distance.

  • Maurice Griffin on Psalms 1 - 8 years ago
The more I read it, the more I understand it. For it is more blessed for me to stay out of the conversation of the ungodly. For they only speak ungodly things, such as sex, lying and love of money. It is better to be under the Word of God. With the Word as your counsel you will be better rooted. In fact the more word the stronger the roots and you can not help but produce great fruit. I thank God.

  • Richard Ocansey on Psalms 1 - 8 years ago
I will gladly use myself as a leaving testimony. I got myself purely involed in the world with sinner. What i noticed was that most of people are into satanic staff now, the more u even get associate with them all u yr luck goes to them becouse they have sold their souls to the devil and are been used by him. So the more they sin and get you the innocent one involed spritualy they are bening bromoted becouse they are winning a soul for the devil, and that make yor more poweeless. On the other side when u are fro God and u do not get yourself to be used by them but win souls for Christ, all that the the scripture say in Psalms 1 is what will manifest in yr life. Pls to all the end days is cls lets seek God. Amen!

"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly" Are you testing the spirits of the men you are following against scripture? Are you putting your trust in men; believing everything or even some of what they preach? Don't be deceived by the soothsayers.
