The Psalmist is saying a prayer in which he seems alone, and he is, until v.11. God stands with him as the remedy to his woes before a common enemy. The sword and hand of the Lord are under the control of God, but they have no hope of eternal life, as believers do.God's covenant with us is stronger than the powers of the lost of this world. Awakening with God is greater than all the things we face.

Just look at the way they pray; who "for a pretense make long prayers," while devouring the substance of the poor they are supposed to be caring for!

But as I got better He let me know He allowed it to happen - cont.
