Discussion for Psalms 119:66

  • Teach me good judgment and knowledge. Judgment could be intelligence or wisdom that translates into good behavior. A man may have a doctorate in Bible and have great understanding wherein he is able to win the debates in all arenas, and yet lack judgment, he will utterly fail in his course in life to have victory over sin. David ends the verse stating, "I have believed thy commandments. I believe that this word believe is of the same sort as is necessary to be saved. This is not an intellectual understanding, but a heart one, that is I state my life on what God has stated to be true and order my life foe His causes.
