Discussion for Psalms 119:31

  • The word stuck in this verse has the thought of clinging or adhering to. A meaning I like along with that is to catch by pursuit. In verse 29 we see David closing the door on the way of lying, that 's not an option. In verse 30 we see David choosing the way of truth. In verse 31 he is super gluing himself to God 's word. What he has done is to declare war on darkness. What can we expect if we follow his example? They that live godly will suffer persecution. Jesus said in John 15:18 they hated me before they hated you. This verse goes on with David making a request of God not to put him to shame. I believe what he 's asking of God is, when the pressure is turned up, don 't let me fail you.
