Discussion for Psalms 119:25

  • David states "my soul cleaveth to unto the dust". This seems to point to a dry time in David's life when his walk with God was not genuine, but rather following plastic religion. It seems that he sensed an attachment to the things of this world which he knew was not pleasing to God. I believe David is crying out to God to quicken him, or to give him new life freed from the passions that had caught him in their grasp.
