Discussion for Psalms 107

  • A disciple
"They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in." Ever since our first parents sinned, and were expelled as unfit from the presence of God; we have all been wandering solitarily through the earth without a home, while away from and not knowing God. Thus we all were before Jesus came down from heaven to seek and to find us and redeem us from the hand of the enemy.

What a wonderful refrain which occurs in this psalm, "Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men." How many of our ills and despairing of life could be avoided if only we took this to heart everyday. We are to regularly remind those without the Lord of this fact. Of His love for them, shown by us!

(cont.); In this Psalm there are a number of very different kinds of troubles talked about, that men get into. Some were as the result of what happened in ancient times, and the matter of Nimrod and Babel; some have to do with stupid men who think its "manly" to scorn God's counsel and commandments; some are suffering for righteousness' sake, or just because they are good, and the world loves evil

"...And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south." What was the cause for having to be sent out of Eden? for the languages confounded and they scattered over all the earth? All these things which men brought upon themselves, for giving heed to evil spirits, to defy and rebel without cause against the LORD, and His Anointed. (Psalm 2)

God is an awesome God and I love Him so much cuz He first loveth me. Though I currently walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil.
All though my enemies are many and powerful they are created beings - He created them. one day I will see them with my own eyes bow down before Him. It is only a matter of time.

I pray that this prayer will become a reality for all the political refugees, slaves, trafficked people and destitute families on the earth today. So many people all over the earth are displaced today because of war and enemies and political agendas that they have no control over. So many people in these places cannot even hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. Let us remember these people in our prayer
