  • Michael for verse 22
My older brother should heed this one.
  • D Silvanus Chinonso for verse 18
from my own point of view it means that whatever you see is subject to change, so whatever you are passing through is subject change, so hold on to your hope and faith in God.
  • Ronnie for verse 31
Most people have not seen wine in the making. This verse refers to new wine that is still fermenting. The wine is actually brighter at this stage. If you pour some into a cup, you can see it moving around by itself. This is the yeasts at work. The wine appears to move itself. After fermentation is complete all the yeasts are dead. The wine loses its bright color and all movement stops. How do I know this? I sometimes make homemade wine.

My husband and I are going on a 2 night stay in Helen, Ga. They have wineries there and craft beer. I wanted to try some of this. Jesus also turned the water into wine. And many accused him of being a wine bibber why would they unless he drank some? Not really sure about this one. Matthew Henry 's comments sound like you can go to Hell by drinking wine, etc. Jesus forgives all sin, Would I go to Hell by tasting wine?
I think we should thank GOD for all the proverbs for it help us to live right and conduct ourselves a godly way I love our LORD GOD.

People envy the riches of sinful people and think they have it all. Greater is who is in us than the one in the world. Think of the story of the Israelites in wilderness from Egypt.
  • Osemudiame for verse 18
Though you might be going through difficult times such as Barreness, joblessness, sickness etc.and all these seems to be having no solution be rest assured that there is an END.
  • God has a happy ending for your ones life, just put your Faith in him.
  • Satan has seduced people into looking to material things to provide security. However it can not provide direction or answers to life's deeper questions. We can not look to material things to fill spiritual needs, we will be disappointed. What matters is our relationship with Jehovah God, with him we can find genuine security.
  • Mabel,o.medon for verse 23
This verse rates truth or wisdom to be very precious.its something worth having, like a treasure that should be sought and later guarded at all cost.its also talking about knowledge even concerning spiritual things. One big mistake that some christians make is that after getting saved, they assume that they know it all. We should be willing to be tutored so that we can work better in our father's vineyard.
  • Sussan for verse 18
God can do anything. Just be hopeful!
  • Andrews. Okai for verse 21
Drunkard & glutton: A man without vision shall consume all his inheritance and the food of the swine shall be delicacy (the prodigal son) A little drowsiness shall he destroy his destiny in no time and shall beg for a penny without shame (no choice). (Learn the ways of the ant)
  • Susan Dalton for verse 10
Remove not the old landmark; Proverbs 23:10. How can one person remove a shared boundary marker without the knowledge and consent of the one with whom he/she shares the boundary and that be not unlawful? If not unlawful, at least, inconsiderate. If we do not recognize shared boundaries, we become insolent toward the one with whom we share the boundary. If two people share a property line, it is a very thin line. In actuality, a line is very thin, though it has two borders. A line has two sides and it shares a very narrow space in between - very small; but cross that very small space and you are on someone else's property. Now, if two share a line, and a marker is set defining that boundary, and one person removes the one and only boundary marker, that person has chosen to remove that which was to mark a boundary for two. That one has removed visibly that which was not only for him/herself, but, which was also for the other. A visual testament to a boundary has been taken away. If someone bought land and the neighbor of that land had been mowing way pass their boundary onto the land that has been recently bought, so that now the new owners have had people come onto their land accusing them of being on someone else's land because those people must have assumed because the other owner mowed so far over if was his land. So, the new owner would go and show the boundary marker so to put to rest the controversy. Now, the boundary marker has been removed - someone dug it up. The plot of land is surveyed, plotted, deeded and recorded, but, for some that visible boundary marker served to show what is legal and recorded. No wonder we have so many acts of insolence and violence in our society. That which is deeded and recorded by God is still the right statues and judgments, but, man has removed many of the old landmarks; some people may know the boundaries without the landmarks, many must not know where the boundaries are; or, even sadder, many just don't care.
  • Salomão for verse 30
The apostle Paul commands us to be not drunk with wine, in which is excess; but to be filled with the Spirit; Ephesians 5:18. The church has been slowing down his prayer life, let's pray God to revive his Church in our generation (Habakkuk 3:2).
  • Salomão for verse 10
We are called not to remove the old landmarks! The landmark of sound doctrine, of Christian traditions, etc. Enoch walked with God and was translated, Methuselah lived 969 years old, if we look carefully, we will see that those people belonged to the pious lineage, and didn't remove the old landmarks!
  • It works, our creator knows what works for us, since He made us. God's word works.
    JESUS GIVES ...satan takes....
DRUGS and alcohol are no respecter of persons.they take everybody down....
  • Todd
Our "SAD" diet (standard American diet) is killing us. Go back to God's original diet as found in Genesis 1:29!
Matthew 15;13-20. alcohol evaporates into a vapor but only after it has done its job!you can see its results..JESUS never evaporates ,HE IS ALWAYS THERE ,can t you see HIS results all around you? JESUS LOVES YOU!
  • HARRY ALLISON for verse 5
eagles are majestic!even they will disappear,i think.could there be eagles in HEAVEN?we shall see !
  • Timothy Wayne George
We are to do right by the fatherless, and widows.
Whom the Lord loves he disciplines every son that he receives, and that is so that we will be partakers of his holiness. Alway honor thy father, and mother even when they are old. We are not to strive to be rich, but rather seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto us. A little wine is good for your infirmities sake, but be not drunk with wine. Rather be filled with the spirit. Stay away from drunkards, gluttons, and women of the night. This is a great proverb to study, and meditate on with our love ones. When we are filled with the spirit, we will not fullfill the lust of the flesh.

Proverbs23-24"The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice. This passage clearly refers to our heavenly Mother, distinct from "she that bare thee" The Almighty maker of heaven and earth can not be contained by simple gender. inequ

CH23 "Consider Diligently what is before you"!!!
What is before us in Ch23, are the "Big 3-Fold Deceptions"! 1 John 2;16 For all that is in the world,(1) the lust of the flesh, (2) the pride of life, and (3) the lust of the eyes, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
PRIDE OF LIFE: Vs1 ruler= power, wealth,or pride. His banquet intices the man of God, to partake in this feast of pride.Vs2 - it would be better to cut your own throat than to go there! Vs8- But if you do eat of his meal(deceptive words), you will puke them up and lose all the sweet deceptive words.Vs9- Don't even speak of the things of God, in the ears of this fool-Matthew 7;6 Cast not your pearls before swine.
LUST OF THE FLESH; Vs.20 Abstain from hookers and drunks. Vs27 its a trap!!
LUST OF THE EYES; Thine eyes shall behold much deception, tru-out ch23; strange women, dainty meat, wealth, a bunch of traps!
Correction against the "BIG 3" delivers a soul from hell Vs.12-14 Many fleshy idiots use these scriptures to justify child abuse. But Psalms 23 says " thy rod and thy staff comforts me"! The word of God is the rod that beats deception out of us all.
COMFORT; Vs16 God rejoices, when our LIPS SPEAK RIGHT THINGS! Vs18- For surely there is an end, and thy "EXCPECTATION" shall not be cut off!!What encouragement and comfort. "Jeremiah 29;11 thots of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." agape -- reggie --
