Discussion for Proverbs 3:27

  • Brianna for verse 27
We shouldn 't have a stingy hand when it comes to our brother 's and sisters. The 28 that follows brings out " Do not say to your neighbor, Go away come back later! I will give it to you tomorrow, If you can give it now. " We should willing render assistance to our brothers and sister when they need it. We can trust in Jehovah God to bless our kindness. He will not let someone go without for giving to another. He will repay such loving kindness with a blessing.
  • We can apply this principle when it comes to working. Rather than simply doing the minimum, we can look for ways to do more than is required. When we go the extra mile we can experience more joy.
  • Donna Freemn for verse 27
I really love this verse. I believe that if we all practiced what this verse states the world would be a more considerate, loving understanding place to be

Ralph Steinman died on Friday before hearing the announcement on Monday that he had won the Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel Prize, since the 1970's, has only been awarded to the living and not posthumously. Proverbs 3:27 came to mind. "Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it." The time we have now on earth to give a good word or do a good deed is passing. The Lord will reward us according to our deeds, but the time will come to an end for us to give here on earth. Is there a word due a spouse, a parent, a brother, or a sister? Is there a word due the Lord, a church, or a nation? Is there a word or deed due to anyone in whom it is in the power of your hand to give it? Withhold not good from them to whom it is due; some rewards cannot be awarded posthumously.
