Discussion for Proverbs 23:31

  • Most people have not seen wine in the making. This verse refers to new wine that is still fermenting. The wine is actually brighter at this stage. If you pour some into a cup, you can see it moving around by itself. This is the yeasts at work. The wine appears to move itself. After fermentation is complete all the yeasts are dead. The wine loses its bright color and all movement stops. How do I know this? I sometimes make homemade wine.

    So white wine's alright then?
