Verse 7 says, "The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand." I struggled with this verse because of God's mercies. Then God lead me to the story of Paul, the chief sinner as he called himself, and how he was delivered and I came to the understanding how both could be true. God gives the wicked a chance to repent but if they don't then there is a consequence.

What "land" is vs 11 speaking of, but the land of our own human imagination. We must "till" it (ie. plow to prepare for harvesting crops) to bring forth our righteous desires. Matthew says a good man our of the good treasure of the heart (our imagination) brings forth good things. We till our land by imagining that we've already go that which we desire. I've learned so much from the book of Proverbs. And it has helped me with so much that's going on in my life. I say this because this is my second time studying the book of Proverbs and I've fallen in love with it.
