    2 Cor 7:10-11,

"For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death."

    What is needed for salvation?

    Have a blessed day/night.

    2 Cor 7:6,

"Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;"

The grk instead of "that are cast down" says "the humble" (grk tapeinous)

So who are those that God comforts?

    2 Cor 7:1,

"Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."

    2 Cor 6:14-15,

"14Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? "15And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

    2 Cor 5:20,

"Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech(beg) you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God."

    Beseech? Beg? God?

    2 Cor 5:10,

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat(bema) of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad."

    2 Cor 4:16,

"For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day."

As we go to the petrol station to fill our cars with petrol to keep going, we also have to go the Lord with prayers (and not only) to fill ourselves with the grace of God to keep going on our narrow path. If we don't we will eventually run out of fuel some time.

    2 Cor 4:7-10

"7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 8We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.10Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

    Matthew 6:24-25,

"24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock."

    Psalms 34:19,

"Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all."

    2 Cor 2:10,

    To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I (Paul) forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;

Doesn't the above remind us of the discussion Peter had with Jesus:

    Matthew 16:19,

"And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

Also when Jesus appeared to his disciples after His resurrection?

    John 20:21-23,

"21Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. 22And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: 23Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

We, the chuech, have the right to forgive or retain the sins of people, only that it has to be done according to God's will.

    2 Cor 2:7-8

"7So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow. 8Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him."

    2 Cor 2:10-11,

"Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices."

When God forgives, it is strange that we often don't. But the devil waits at the turn of the corner.

    2 Cor 1:21-22,

"21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; 22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts"
  • Giannis - 5 months ago
    2 Cor 1:7,

"And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation."

Christian life without sufferings doesn't exist.

    2 Cor 1:9-10,

"9. But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: 10.Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;"

It is true that we go go to God when there is no other way out. God often permits such situations in our life in order to teach us to rely on Him, not on ourselves nor on anybody else. The Jews in the dessert had to rely to God to send them the manna each day. It is a lesson of trusting God in our lives. Maybe we fail the exams in the begining but we learn our lesson along the way.

    2 Cor 1:4,

"Who(God) comforteth us(Paul and the rest) in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God."

It is our "obligation" to comfort our fellow brethren in their tribulations. We receive, hence we have to give.

    Next, for "I" I choose:

    IMMUTABLE

God never changes. He is always the same in His nature. Therefore we can depend on His character to always remain stable and true. We can depend on what He has revealed of Himself and what He has caused to be recorded of His Words in Scripture. He is the same yesterday, today, and always. (Heb.1:12; 13:3; Ps. 102:27 )

This also means that His attributes never change, never increasing, nor decreasing, never adding any new attribute nor subtracting any. Every attribute of God is infinite, limitless, and absolutely perfect. He is forever this way. ( Mal. 3:6)

Saints, I ask that you please agree with my husband and I for healing for our daughter, Monique. She was diagnosed with colon cancer that has spread to her liver and lungs last week. She has been healthy her entire life.

Then overnightshe is dying. So, from now on we will no longer claim she is sick, we claim a miracle. All for the glory and honor to our living God.

Our Heavenly Father sent Jesus to destroy the works of satan. By Jesus' stripes she plus all my brothers and sisters who need healing are healed.

Thank you and God bless you.

    THE NATURE OF GOD

    For "H" I choose honest.

God is always honest. He never deceives, nor does He promise and not deliver on that promise. He can be depended upon and His words can be taken as true and sure. There is no shadow of turning in Him, so He is consistently honest and forever honest.

As with all aspects of His nature, they never lessen or increase, never cease nor have a limit. So, he is forever honest. He will always lead us in what is true and good and pure and holy.

Heb. 6:18 says it is impossible for God to lie because it is against His nature to do so and He is only is what His nature is.

Prov. 14:5 says that a truthful witness does not deceive. So, since God is always truthful, His witness to mankind is never deceptive.

Romans 16:18 describes false teachers as those who use smooth words and flattery to deceive many Since God is honest, He will never use such words with us.

So, because God, in His infinite nature, is honest, we can put our lives in His hands, trusting in what God has promised to do for His children.

The verses below are the most cited.

    Luke 17:26-27

26And as it was in the days of Noah,so it will be in the days of the Son of man.

27They ate, drank, married, gave in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark,the flood came and destroyed them all.

    Luke 17:28-30

    28Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot;they did eat,they drank, they bought,they sold,they planted,they builded;

29But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

30Thus shall it be in this day of revelation of Son of man.

society of Noah's day ......................... society of Sodom

they ate and drank .......................... they ate and drank

they married and gave in marriage ....... they bought and sold

    ................ -x-x-x- ......................... they planted and built

The prophecy of Noah's days has already literally fulfilled around years 1950 to 1990,in this period of time there were celebration of weddings similar to society in the days of Noah. The society of Noah's day had let's say a natural"modus vivendi",or a normal way of life, there were celebration of weddings. From 1950 to 1990,It was common to eat and drink due to the development of large malls at that time,it was common celebration of weddings, and existence of strong family ties,as in the days of Noah.

The differences are great between Noah's society, and days of Sodom.See,the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly-Gen.13:13-they were wicked and corrupt, and immoral exceedingly,as the society is today.

There was not marriage among them, the society was polluted of prostitutes and sodomites/effeminate(gays),the society was infested of prostitution and great sinners.Lot dwelling among them was vexed in seeing and hearing the filthy conversation of the wicked,Lot vexed his righteous soul from day to day due the unlawful deeds of them-2 Pe.2:7-8 combined with Jude 1:6-7.

    Get ready
  • GiGi - 5 months ago
    Good Afternoon,

I took a real "crash and burn" fall the other night and whacked my jaw against the edge of a table , bruised my upper arm, and hip, and wrenched my neck. No broken jaw, but there is swelling and bruising. Please pray that these contusions heal well. I am icing them and taking OTC pain relievers. This all came about because I lost my balance.

Also, two members of or household have contracted covid. the rest of us are negative. So, please pray that I do not get it as well as for my husband and other son.

    Thank you for your prayers.

1 Cor 16:20, "All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss."

Hugging and kissing each other is not the norm in some cultures and nations. People from some nations find it very difficult to show their feelings and emotions, normally people from the North. But if we have love for each other...
