People's Bible Notes for Philippians 2:2

Php 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy. Make my joy full. They had already given him much joy (Php 4:1-10), but he desired one thing more; viz., that they be likeminded, in full agreement, perfect harmony. Having the same love. Loving one another with pure hearts fervently. [Being] of one accord, of one mind. Of one heart and soul. No outward strife.

Discussion for Philippians 2

"To supply your lack of service toward me." vs 30. Sounds a bit like complaining. And yet, in chapter 4, Paul strongly commends the Philippians for their loving support toward Paul's apostolic ministry.

Could it be, that Philippi had failed to provide young men, like Timothy, to the ministry, that is, young men to travel as members of the apostolic ministry, to serve the ministry's needs ?

Ray, The near death of Paul's friend in this chapter verse 30 should be a lesson that even in the vineyard of working for God, we need to find time to rest. Even God rested on the 7th day. He is a God of principle. If we go against his principle of rest we shall fall sick and die. Don't take his mercy for granted. Not all will be fortunate like Paul friend in this chapter.

Jesus, I adore you. Wherefore God has highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Verse 3: We are urged to consider others superior to ourselves and this will help us to develop humility. We should strive to find the good in everyone.

I'm in love with this on chapter it's so amazing and it teaches me so much I have been wondering and God finally spoke to me I was happy that he taught me a lesson every since my mother has died I have lost my mind but someone spoke to me in a stern voice and said Allison you have won the victory in me i love my Jesus.

Hello Ray; It doesn't say anywhere, that Paul couldn't heal his friend, and certainly not that the Holy Spirit in him was "fading" or he couldn't speak in tongues any more. Epaphroditus was exhausted from working himself out! By answer to PRAYERS God raised him back up, and he recovered health. There's too many that don't carry their weight in the Lord's work! So others have unfairly heavy loads.
