The author of the New Testament was clearly influenced by the Book of Numbers chapters 5 and 6 in formulating the character of Jesus Christ. Chapter 5 describes the procedure for investigating a wife suspected of infidelity. Chapter 6 describes the procedure for taking the Nazarite Oath, thus giving the person a priestly status. Both these relate to Jesus Christ who is consequently described as being born in a non-existent place called Nazareth.

This is not applicable in present day christainity because Jesus Christ has brought a new testament the old has been made obsolete. All those things were the shadow of the real thing which we now have. Please read Hebrews chapters 7,8 & 9. God bless you

I was praying when I was ill, and listening to Stuart Towsend version of "it is well with my soul"and I felt God say "lift up your counternance" and the sense it would help me get well, as I felt awful I raised my head up and smiled as if to look up at Jesus and immediately i felt healing love, and crying I looked up the word countenance and found this in numbers, God blows my mind, praise be to God for He is good!
