I am really impressed with how this person named BSP has commented on EVERY Chapter of the Bible I've read on this website. But also, great chapter. Love the word of God.
  • Janet
    V. 8 Father, help me to be humble, just and merciful. Help me not to seek spiritual shortcuts.

    Beautiful chapter of Micah...
  • BSP
God has showed us his goodness and he does not require a lot of us. This verse emphasizes three qualities that God requires of us and they are justice, mercy, and humility.
  • Brandi
Without mercy, where would we be? Therefore love mercy moreover love your neighbor.
  • Irene123
"He hath shewed thee, o man, what is good, and what does the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God"? Eccl.12:13 - Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and obey His commandments: For this is the whole duty of man." John 14:15 - :If ye love me, keep my commandments." This is what the WHOLE word of God is all about.
  • Willie Bivens for verse 16
Because the people were following Omri 's rule and listening to the counsels of Ahab, God would make them desolate and they would bear the reproach.
  • These are works that the child of God must actively participate in: be not hearers of the word only, but doers. God is calling for us to 1. do justly - make sure we are fair, not partial, nor be a respector of persons, but we treat everyone fairly and with love and respect; 2) love mercy..we have to have an intense desire to forgive people for things they may have done to us or show forbearance towards others - to show compassion; and finally, God wants us to walk humbly. We can't go around with our noses in the air thinking we're somehow better than other people. We should walk with meekness, modesty and with low degree..These are good works that God will write down in His book of remembrance.
  • Doris for verse 8
Father God, we give thanks unto your word, because your word is powerful, living and sharper. Your word works in our lives. We give Glory.
  • Karisa for verse 8
Very encouraging and powerful message that can take somebody miles ahead.
  • Timothy Wayne George
He hath shewed the O man, what is good, and what the LORD hath required of thee: to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with thy God. Every time we have opportunity to do good to someone, let us do it, when it is in our power to do so. Jesus said blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Peter told us to humble thyself, under the mighty hand of God, and in due season He would exalt thee. Obedience is better than sacrifice. The Lord Jesus although He was rich, yet for our sakes He became poor, so that we through His poverty could become rich. Jesus gave us the greatest example how to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God. Jesus came down from heaven to do the Father's will. He did not call the righteous to repentance, but sinners. Thank God that He did, because all have sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God. The publican said Lord be merciful to me a sinner, and he went home justified.
