Greetings Yes: I do not like images depicting Jesus as you mention that many post on fakebook.

However Revelation 1 has a description of Jesus.

Revelation 1:14 His (Jesus) head and his hairs were WHITE white like wool, as WHITE white as snow; and his eyes were as a FLAME OF FIRE flame of fire; 15 And his feet like unto fine brass,

Brass is made of copper which is REDDISH GOLDEN BROWN as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. (California surfers have a golden brown tan)

Eyes as a flame of fire could well be blue, since a gas stove flame is blue, with shades of yellow and red.

some push this to become racial pride and the Bible speaks against pride.

I jst want to know, Why are their so many Christians puting on facebook a person that looks like Jesus. with blue eyes and long hair and white. I would like to know were can I find that in the Holy Bible, and yet you have so many Christians say Amen on facebook to a person they do not ever know if that is Jesus, when The Holy Bible shows us that we sould not worship any Idols, because we don't know how OUR GOD ALMIGHTY looks. but it does give us some information on how Jesus Christ looks in the book of REVELATION: with eyes red like fire, not Blue, and his kin like find Brass and not White. and why the Bible tell's us all in EXODUS 20:3,4, 5, thou shalt have no other God before me. EXODUS: 20:4, thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image: or any likeness of any thing that is in heacen above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:, EXODUS:20:5, Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them nor serve them:::, why do then so many Christains continues doing so. ?? that is what I wanted to sak you, Thank you and God bless you all. my brother's and sister's in Jesus Christ.

Victor, to answer your question, it means that the people wanted Jesus to go away. He had just cast out the devils that were in the devil possessed man and he sent the devils into the pigs. The pigs drowned themselves and the men who had the devils was now healed. But those who owned the pigs, they now had no animals. Therefore they wanted this Man Who did these remarkable things to leave them.

Victor James Chapter 1 says to ask for understanding from the Lord.

However let us read the account of what happened as to why they wanted Jesus to leave.

Matthew 8:28 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.

the people of the area seemed well acquainted with these possessed of devils and were afraid of them.

29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

30 And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.

31 So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.

32 And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.

The town lost their unclean food supply and likely were shocked at the sudden change of behavior in the swine that seemed to have committed suicide rather than be possessed with devils.

33 And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.

34 And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.

Maybe they were unhappy with their losing their food supply and / or were deathly afraid that Jesus had power over the devils as they were familiar with the 2 men who were possessed. The unsaved are frightened by the spirit world. So they asked Jesus to leave....

There seems to be an asterisk in the 1611 A.D. scan which refers to the footnote scripture references on the right side: Isaiah 53:4 and 1 Peter 2:24 it appears.

  • Stanjett - In Reply on Matthew 8 - 4 years ago
The Children of The Kingdom are all that are saved. Most of the Jews not all are still waiting on Christ, they don't believe Jesus is the Christ that was to come. Most are still waiting.

Jesus is the healer. He didn't send anyone to the physician. He spoke the Word and the people were healed. Let's believe and have faith for healing. Jesus is able to do all things thought impossible. He's loving, compassionate, tender-hearted and merciful. God sent us a mediator -- saints use the power of Jesus. He's here for the asking and willing to help us. Live right and see results.

And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? The devils recognize Jesus. And they know that in the end of days , that they will be cast into hell and tormented. Why they said before the time. Devils know the bible more than some of us.

There are so many of us still attempting to explain Spiritual things with carnality thinking. Christ allows us to understand that those who follow him are seeking everlasting life...If we are to follow him we must do it in spirit and truth, putting nothing before him. Releasing the traditions of man to be "And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead Rev 14:13 KJV

Bob Davis question. What is the Gift that Moses commanded. In Exodus,God gives Moses the gift of 3 signs to show people he had been with God.The second and said most important was,Moses could put his hand over his bosom, and it would become leprous, then return normal. In brief,God used Leprosy as a sign with Moses to show people. Then Jesus used Leprosy as a sign to the priests that he is and was real.

The Children of The Kingdom are Israelites, Jewish People. There are Many People that Believe They are Saved But are More Lost than The Lost. The World is Getting Darker Every Day. Sin is Wide Open Like a Full-Blown Epidemic. Very Few Churches Preach Salvation By The Blood of The Lamb. Years ago Some Revivals Were Just Old Gospel Songs, Many Were Saved, Others Rededicated.

I would like to understand verse 11 and 12 better. Is Jesus saying that a lot of people will say that they are believers but are really not.

hi there patricia! I dont know if your question about a tempest was ever answered on this site. a great tempest is a super bad storm. but, you know, nothing is too big for God Almighty to handle. he just needs to speak the word! I have never been through a super bad storm, only a severe thunderstorm. i assume that when you are on the ocean, that a great tempest is almost similiar to a hurricane.
  • Bruce on Matthew 8 - 5 years ago
Will this is Interesting? Why Response would be Just a Great Storm. That's what The Rest of The Verse Implies But The Word Used Means Earthquake. I Guess The Sea was Moving Like an Earthquake? Just a Big Storm.

The spirit that have possessed the two men were to abandon their abode at the command of the Lord but for them to exist and continue to operate they needed a new abode therefore they pleaded to possess the heard of swine. They were cast out of the men falsely believing that they would continue to exist and operate in the animals but that was not to be and they were judged that hour.

29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?....Wow! Wow! Wow! the devils clearly know they are given a certain amount of 'Time' then 'Time' will end for them, but humans in 2018 is to busy to observe the Bible's warning to humans to observe the 'Signs of the End of Time' for mankind. Wow!

Verse 10- There is a strong connection between faith and receiving healing. If such ones mentioned in this verse did not have faith, they or their loved ones would not have received healing.
