Brother Robert, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

Romans 9:17 The scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might show my power unto thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

God is sovereign and RULES over his creation.

Everything happening every moment is HIS work, showing man his power that his name might be declared throughout the earth.

This was the same thing happening when he CAUSED the demons to go into the swine, THAT HIS POWER and HIS NAME might be declared throughout the earth.

The word of God, is speaking to the person, reading the words, we should put OUR NAME in place of the name he is speaking to.

Matthew 8:34 The city came together and told Jesus to take a hike! I understand they were devastated. They had lost 2000 swine! But were they so carnally minded that they absolutely missed the miracle that took place? :-)

Yes I feel compassion for the swine. So I'm assuming that we are worth more than many swine in the Lords eyes.

I've puzzled over this too . Those pigs shouldn't even have been in the land of Israel . Maybe they represented the unclean Romans ? Or all Gentiles ? Or the way in which there will not be any unclean thing in Israel in the future ? I'm sure there is also some symbolism there as well as an actual herd of pigs . Maybe one day one of us will get it , if it's you please come on here and let me know .

Hello Robert Sir when you read the record carefully it says the devils [not demons the bible never says demons]asked if they could, and he said go, they decided where, that was not Jesus Decision. John 10: 9 The thief is always steal kill and destroy, verse 10 I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly.

What useful purpose was served by letting the Demons posses the Swine and cause them to commit suicide? The poor pigs weren't hurting anyone and the swine herd suffered a financial loss through no fault of his own-and even in Old Testament times, non-Jews were not commanded to refrain from eating pork. This was one of the special strictures that only applied to God's chosen ones.

Well, what is the sum total most important thing to know and do in Matthew 5-7?

Jesus is referring to the people who are dead in their sins , they are not interested in the Truth , Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life , don't follow the dead , follow the Life , once you truly belong to Jesus you see the world in a different way . Human customs and traditions aren't so important to you , follow Jesus without question , go wherever he tells you to go , do what he tells you to do , he won't steer you wrong . Trust him and don't go the way of the world .The way of the world leads you away from the Truth .

Why did Jesus tell the man to leave the dead to bury the dead when they guy asked Jesus to suffer him to bury his father?

Hi Robert Good Morning This is a remarkable record of Jesus Christs delivering two men possessed with devils first the actions of these men was so bad nobody could go by them so they were well known. Now the story build up verse 29 and behold take note! they cried out [not the men] what have we to do with thee Jesus thou Son of God proof that it was not the men.

Art thou come hither to torment us before the time? and there was a good way off from them a herd of swine feeding . In eastern culture they had herds of animals that grazed near the towns that many times were the livelihood of the people in the town The devils besought Him saying if thou cast us out suffer us the word suffer means commit to go into the swine. Notice he did not tell them to go into the swine he just said go.

So they went into the swine and the herd went into the sea and perished. The herdsman had there minds blown and absolutely were afraid went to town told the story and the towns people came out and begged Jesus Christ to leave. The interesting thing is who was concerned about the deliverance of the two men? Many times Jesus Christ did miracles and the reaction was absolute astonishment or fear. In His Service

Greetings in the Name of Christ! You are perfectly correct. Every human being is born spiritually dead, in that he is disconnected from God because of an inherent sin nature ( 1 Cor. 15:22). God is the only source of life. Therefore, one is considered to be unplugged from God and spiritually dead until he is born again and plugged in ( John 17:3). He is then quickened and made alive. Jesus used a personal pronoun "their" when describing the dead because, until one is born again, he is merely a product a procreation, and belongs to the current world system. What did Jesus mean by: let THE DEAD bury their dead"? Did he mean the Spiritually-dead,

(the unsaved)???

Matthew was likely not present as he meets Jesus later.

That being said, figuratively there was the possessed man at the beginning and the freed man at the end of the encounter.

The same can be said for everyone that is made free by Jesus.

In chapter eight, God has revealed to me so much about myself. This summer as I was working in the yard, something seemed to come up through the bottom of my shoes clear up and out the top of my head and caused me to do an act and as I was in route to do this, I said to myself, I really don't care who sees me. This was Not me but happened through me and was so quick I just seemed to have no control. This chapter has showed me number one it was the devil and I was at such a weak point and moment in my life that the devil can move and is waiting to move on you so quickly it does pay to study and know Gods word. The next thing I knew was someone from church had seen me and as said in the comment section, "God often,for wise and holy ends,permits the efforts of satin's rage. Thus the devil hurries people to sin;hurries them to what they have resolved against,which they know will be shame and grief to them: miserable is the condition of those who are led captive by him at his will." This has and still has lead sickness to me emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I'm a Christian but I've never resolved to taking the time to set aside for God and his time to come first always an excuse so busy. That is the devil and his angels wanting you to believe that. He is a liar and always will be. This chapter and what God revealed to me was I should, and with God,s devine help, I will put God and his will for me first and in doing so, God will see I have the time effectively for my other responsibilities. Just as he does in our finances when we tithe and give God his first. I'm so thankful for this lesson and what it has meant to me. Talk about needing a road map, I have when it comes to getting things in correct order for the sake of my Lord Jesus Christ. Who else can we want or need to please other than our Savior. If you are his child, what an honor to say so and tell others about. I prayed so hard last evening for forgiveness to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. I hurt.

Sorry but you are incorrect, the pretrib rapture is biblical, but there is also a subsequent one in the great tribulation for the left behind who by then will have repented and the new believers. Thank you brother Steven I agree with your nice reply also. My brothers in Christ sure have helped me on this subject. Keep sharing the great knowledge God has given to you. I am still learning much daily about the LOVE OF JESUS. I try to give God 3 hours each day in his holy word. Then I share the GOSPEL DAILY with everyone I contact within hearing distance. Most take a LOVE LETTER FROM JESUS; TITLED: GOD'S SIMPLE PLAN OF SALVATION. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the "HOUR" OF temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them which dwell upon the earth. You noticed the Lord said he will keep them from the "HOUR", Meaning time of temptation? Now don't that parallel with 1st Thessalonians 5:9?. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. Now i have heard it said that all saints would have to go through the tribulation for purification, Doesn't that render Christ blood shed on the cross inadequate? I thought we were washed, I thought we were hid in Christ, I thought we were sanctified in Christ, why is there need for such purification? what about the saints who has already died in Christ? THE prophets, the Apostles, ect.. I thought Christ was smitten once for our sins, if we were baptised into Christ at conversion,. If we are the body of Christ and going to appointed to wrath wouldn't that be like smitten him again? In Isaiah 53:11 He says: He shall see of the travail of his soul, and be satisfied. Were not appointed to wrath.

I actually took the time to listen to that lengthy teaching on the Pre-Trib Rapture deception. He spoke very well & covered a lot of ground, but failed to be more explicit in certain areas that the pre-tribbers would also hold to.

a. The Great Tribulation is a special event in history when it is God's Wrath that is poured upon the world of unbelievers. The tribulations that come to us, whether coping with life's demands & challenges or going through various intensities of persecution & to the laying down our lives for the Lord, are not part of God's Wrath, but what comes to us living in a fallen corrupt world ruled by the prince of this World. And on this aspect the YT speaker dwells on. One would need to look at the fact that a believer who has already been freed from the God's condemnation through Christ, would he then have to face His Wrath for his & the world's 'wickedness'?

b. 1 Corinthians 15:51,52 which ties in with 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 is taken as a separate event to the Day of the Lord not because of the specific events of the dead rising along with the saints to be with the Lord forever, but also what Paul was saying was a Mystery: something unknown or veiled beforehand, being revealed now. Just as the mystery of the Church ( Romans 11:25, Ephesians 5:32, 6:19, Colossians 1:27), so the mystery of the catching away that was not unknown before. The speaker never referred to this important point.

c. The escape of Lot & his family or of Noah & his from the pouring out of God's Wrath was not dealt particularly well by him. He emphasized that they escaped but the unbelievers were destroyed whereas in the Gt. Tribulation, it would not be so, therefore the analogy failed. However, I think that the emphasis is seen to be on the fact that God took out the righteous from the scene of His outpouring Anger.

These being a few of my observations from his talk, & though quite comprehensive & he being well studied, I remain unconvinced from his presentation.

Actually. He was from Nazareth, in Judea, and the Jewish laws number 593 & 594 state that a Nazarite shall permit his hair to grow and not cut his hair. So he could have had longer hair. Should it really matter? God Bless

Jesus was born a Jew. He was from Judea. He had short hair. (don't believe the pictures.) If a man have long hair, it is a shame to him.

I think if you search the History of how Jesus looked, you will find a some what of a description. Was he a Jew? Etc. What area was He from ? What kind of hair did He have? Smiles

You are so right. It comforts people somehow. I have a large photo of 3 mountains and an entire valley of huge boulders. I think of it as the valley of dry bones, (Ezekiel) when I'm praying.
