    Acts 2;21 Whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Peter 3;18For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: Peter 3;21The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ The kjv uses the word also, a word that takes us back to the old test. Thank you for pointing these things out!

    You are correct! If I have a friend,who is dieing or come upon an accident and there is someone breathing their last breath, shall not their confession of Jesus Christ be enough to take them too heaven? That whosoever believeth on His name shall be saved!My comment was referring to the sacrificial atonement through animal sacrifice. This act provided a temp.cleansing until the next time of the same sacrifice. Baptism is a commandment of Christ, which in effect is the fulfilling of the law. Our confession is what saves us! The sacraments do not save us. CIRCUMCISION IS OF THE HEART! Loving Christ with every living part of your body and soul is what saves us! When you kneel before this gracious forgiving God and confess your sins,He is faithful and just to forgive us. It is interesting that Peter uses the example of Noah in the verse before to illustrate what baptism is. The law and the gospel always exalt one another. I think I would prefer to use this chapter of Peter, to understand what baptism does. Being put to death in the flesh but quickened in the spirit! I love Peters words, He has a clear understanding of both.

    Your sins are not washed by confessing and having faith in Jesus. You receive the remission of your sins when you obey Acts 2:38 read it. Maybe you should read the whole book of acts and see what the Apostles taught as instructed by the Lord Jesus

    When you confess Him and you receive his body and blood in faith, your sins are washed away and you are a born again child of God! We In fact are redeemed from sin and death, Christ having become our sacrifice, while fulfilling all righteousness .Our atonement for sin,our "Passover lamb". You need only to believe. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Behold I stand at the door and knock. Open your heart and let him abide. Trust in Him and lean not unto your own understanding! All your ways acknowledge HIM! Salvation is yours, and fades not away, it is kept for you! These promises of salvation are sealed,with his BLOOD! Receive HIM today

    Prayer for Serenity
    God, grant me the serenity
    to accept the things I cannot change,
    the courage to change the things I can,
    and the wisdom to know the difference.
    Living one day at a time,
    enjoying one moment at a time;
    accepting hardship as a pathway to peace;
    taking, as Jesus did,
    this sinful world as it is,
    not as I would have it;
    trusting that You will make all things right
    if I surrender to Your will;
    so that I may be reasonably happy in this life
    and supremely happy with You forever in the next.

    Amen.

    Ironically, the 1st thing you posted, my original comment helped me just now, because I'm thinking about what may be to come & how I can be "founded upon a Rock," because I don't have His fortitude of scripture needed to be strong enough to lift (accept gracefully/humbly as a Christ did HIS weight/burden/cross) such weights as previous and current Christian (teammates/family members/siblings) have and currently ARE ALREADY lifting/have lifted. I came back to say you can post all of the "message to the screener" if it will profit (I only said "don't" to indicate it was just to the screener to explain my earlier mess(age) (lol). But yeah, I came back because I wanted to post the following:

    And children WILL (as in the days of Genesis) CONTINUE to suffer things that I can't even comprehend, and will CONTINUE to suffer in open secret. Things WILL be BAD for some, and UNIMAGINABLE for others. I have had anger toward God because I didn't like that He doesn't appear to will me fight to CHANGE things (to make tHIS WORLD a better place for the children and young people and the most vulnerable populations). I didn't/don't understand God's ways, which is fine, but not accepting His will, is for those who won't BE accepted into HIS HOLY...Heaven(ly) House and HIS kingdom in heaven. Christ helped me tonight, I'd erred a semantically, but His intent was to fix my err in spirit/heart/will

    ...but tonight, Christ's Father willed for Christ to open up my heart to accept it, and He gave me wisdom through SEEING what He DID...Himself, though I've intellectually known ALL of this since childhood, basically, and it's been the thing God has made KNOWN to me since I was LITERALLY a SMALL child (that I feared God's will of persecution for my personal life). God chose some things for some people that are different than what He chose for the majority around said "some people." Like in Zephaniah 3:12. No matter WHAT a person does, GOD's will is the ONLY will FOR that person! And God doesn't always reveal things, so people WILL "friend of Job" and understandably disobey Matthew 7:1-5

    Only one way to get there, and that's God's way or the highway! I wanted the ring and to attend the (Heavenly, eternal) Championship victory celebration in the end, with my teammates, but I wanted to DIRECT GOD in where to put me. I feared the position He'd put past teammates in (the persecution of the prophets that came before us and the affliction of current and FUTURE church that is going on right now, and will until Coach/Referee/Team Owner GOD blows the game-ending whistle. I've "dreamed dreams," whether or no they've come from God, I know not, but I'll pray "nevertheless, THY (not my will) be done," thanks to Christ's surprise teaching of me tonight. KNOWN this scripture but tonight

    But Christ DID teach me, and fix/heal my BIG problem with His/our Dad (God aka I AM aka Jehovah): Jesus didn't want to suffer, but He DID want to do God's will, though He COULD have prayed for no less than 12 legions of angels, or so, His BIGGEST PURPOSE in life was to fulfill His FATHER'S DIRECTION for His FATHER'S script as an actor in His FATHER'S play...which was but ONE reason His/our Heavenly Father was/is so well-pleased with HIM! I have had anger/rage/hatred toward God BECAUSE I didn't accept HIS script. But the only way to get into HIS "after party.." eternally, is to follow HIS script. I didn't want to, but Christ didn't either. But Christ is where I want to be now.Only1Way2getther

    I will not be finishing my post, I'm tired, lol! I had to stop for vitals, and either way. In my effort to write as little as possible (by just posting scripture, instead of posting scripture, and then explaining what it had to do with the point I was trying to make--thought I'd bring it all together at the end in a couple of sentences, and INITIALLY hoped people would connect the dots by looking up the scripture (for those who did NOT already know the context/meaning), and reading in depth and in context. Usually I just type as I'm thinking. By trying to avoid posting too much text, I posted WAY more than I originally would have AND never finished writing it, but CHRIST DID teach ME

And immediately the cock crew. And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly." Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? THANK YOU for posting this!!!! Amen!!! It was needed!!! God used your words here, to help me (and others, surely) after I'd repeatedly ignored His repeat attempts to remind me to focus on Him, and His being all powerful, and how His' is the ONLY will that is done. In Heaven He's the play director, on earth, He's the play director, all we say, do and think, like King Nebudchadnezzar, is all God's script. God controls the whole play, we, Satan, the devils/unclean spirits, the heavenly angels, animals, insects, the wind, the sea, gravity, ALL just follow God's script (PERFECTLY and to a T)! Now, we can pray for script changes, and God can, has, and may change them. Jesus INSTRUCTS us to!

    As with Peter, he walked on water, as long as he looked upon the Lord. But he took his eyes off the Lord and failed in himself. If we take our eyes off the Lord, we will also fail. Turn your eyes upon Jesus.

    And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Keep your mind on Jesus. Take no thought concerning food, drink and clothing. Concentrate on godly things and seek God's kingdom. He provides for the righteous. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Evil is rampant. Therefore, let us set our affection on things above, and God will surely add all good things to our life. God's works are wondrous and He never fails. Get joy in Jesus.

    Live today as a servant to God, don't worry about things that are petty, such as what will I eat, or what to wear tomorrow. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Worry for nothing, for worry will not add anything to your life, trust in God, walk in faith he knows our needs. What does it profit a man if he died tonight with a extra loaf of bread, nothing food for thought, God Bless

    As a person no one to be somebody but to be a perfect image of our God. However, there are some circumstances which are beyond the control of anyone. In the reality of anyone's life, it needs decision whether to do or not. You must weight all the positive and negative impacts. If positives prevail, the negative will be do away, the former should stand. It refers to common good.
