V4 the keepers was overwhelmed by fear and... V5 the angel said to the women fear not... V10 (a 2nd time) Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid... (it was one of those moment in life we all face as it relate to the things of Jehovah / GOD; the women was so afraid and Jesus knew it, so each time Jesus immediately assured the women / us to not to be fearful; they/we are on a mission for GOD

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Very often the scripture calls the devil as the prince of this world, in another place calls him the prince of the powers of the air, and the god of this world.
It is Important to remember Genesis 1:28 where God gave all authority to men (Adam

It is one thing to believe God loves you when you believe you've given Him a cause and a reason to love you, but is different when you've give Him no cause and no reason, and God still loves you, he loves you because He is Love. For he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

WE JUST NEED TO DO WHAT GOD COMMANDED AND LEAVE THE RESULTS AND OUTCOME IN HIS HANDS...PREACH THE GOSPEL TO EVERY CREATURE AND LET THE HOLY SPIRIT CONVICT AND DRAW LOST SINNERS TO CHRIST....

Fred; no one is looking for arguing about doctrine; but when we have been given something from the Lord, it is for the benefit of the whole assembly, and it is our duty in love and faithfulness to reprove, rebuke, correct, instruct, exhort one another in the Spirit of the truth; for the end of all things is at hand! How much time did the Lord Jesus devote to teaching THAT WE DO, AND NOT ONLY HEAR!
  • Fred -“saved by the blood” on Matthew 28 - 6 years ago
Brian,Redeemed, a disciple. Ephesians 2:8-9 I am sure you all know it along the Romans road. I am so blessed to not be wrapped up in looking for argumentative dialogue of Gods word. The salvation thru Christ is free to anyone that believes on Christ and what he did on the cross. It is simply up to each person to accept or deny Christ. He is risen, rejoice and share the gospel

My desire is to believe all of the Word of God, and not doubt one drop of His Word, Praise God!!!

A sectarian man; a heretic; one who separates himself from sound doctrine and accepted truth according to the Scriptures. What was once understood as the Narrow Way and the Strait Gate, has turned to rather pampering of and apologizing for the weakness of the flesh, instead of mortifying its desires by the life of the Spirit. Many think they do God service but are in fact working against His Word.
  • Redeemed on Matthew 28 - 6 years ago
A disciple: you say that a person in a sect and what you really mean is cult believes they are the only ones that are chosen or who gets it although the only thing shared here by Brian or myself is available to anyone through the word but besides that are you not contradicting yourself when you lash out at Brian or myself for not seeing it the way you do. Do unto others as you would have done to u

A disciple: where is the error when every baptism that was ever done in the Bible was done in the name of Jesus? Its all through the book of Acts. The fullness of the Godhead dwells in the body of Jesus which is what we are baptized into and it is a fulfillment of Matthew 28:19 to the name. This was the doctrine of baptisms followed through by all the disciples and recorded in the Bible. Acts4:12
  • Brian on Matthew 28 - 6 years ago
Redeemed, you are correct. MOST of us grew up with the same blinders received from religion which only Jesus Christ can remove. It is frustrating to say the least trying to explain things to those with closed ears. Same thing Paul went through in Acts 7:57 "Then they cried out with a loud voice, and STOPPED THEIR EARS, and ran upon him with one accord," We all provided countless scriptures...
  • Redeemed on Matthew 28 - 6 years ago
Brian: there is no since in debating the scriptures the Son has to reveal the Father to him as he did to Paul as well as us. The sad thing is that the Lord is trying to draw people to him and by going back and forth fighting with scriptures we are placing a stumbling block before others that Christ died and we should be walking in unity not division if we love one another.
  • A disciple on Matthew 28 - 6 years ago
"...Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; as also in all [his] epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as [they do] also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction." "A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject..."
  • Brian on Matthew 28 - 6 years ago
disciple, Jeremiah 23:24 "...Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord" God is a SPIRIT that is EVERYWHERE at once. GOD MANIFESTED HIMSELF IN A BODY of flesh and blood as JESUS CHRIST to be able to die. STILL the SAME GOD, not ANOTHER ONE. Why does anyone think it is so hard for God robed in flesh being baptized to also speak from Heaven at the same time and show a SIGN of the Holy Ghost?
  • Wayne on Matthew 28 - 6 years ago
Mark and Luke 9th chapter, "This is my beloved Son, hear ye Him".
  • Valerie on Matthew 28 - 6 years ago
It's just that. He was talking to his disciples cause the knew the name of the father the son and holy ghost Jesus. He taught his diciples they were the ones who walked and talked with him before he went to the cross.
    They knew His name. Jesus
  • A disciple on Matthew 28 - 6 years ago
Brian; You yourself quote how there are three mentioned; and then persist in wrenching another strange meaning out of it! Jesus came down to the Jordan to be baptized; the Spirit descended in the form of a dove; the Father spoke from heaven, "This is my Son the beloved, in whom I have found delight." You have believed a false teaching, and another gospel sent to rob you of salvation. Repent!
  • Brian on Matthew 28 - 6 years ago
disciple, what scripture verses does one NOT take out of context? John 4:24"GOD IS A SPIRIT: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." 1 Timothy 3:16"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory"
  • A disciple on Matthew 28 - 6 years ago
Brian (cont.); The problem is that which the Jews stumble at also; that God was manifest in the flesh. We receive in faith that God made man in His image and likeness; but the suggestion that God Himself who has power to give life and create by simply commanding it to be, should "be able" to replicate Himself in a Son, born of a woman! Things too high for us just now, God is able to let us know.
  • A disciple on Matthew 28 - 6 years ago
Brian; but you're taking scriptures out of context, and seem to be deliberately denying the plain facts! A man and his wife become one, but they are still two people. God is one, and therefore He has said that we Believers should be one; but there is still the individual persons of the Father and the Son, just as we are still individuals. The Oneness of God is spiritual, in will, and in nature.
  • Brian on Matthew 28 - 6 years ago
response to "a disciple' I'll continue to let the Word of God do the speaking and those that have ears will hear it as we are earnestly to contend for the faith. JESUS CHRIST IS GOD ALMIGHTY. Colossians 2:9 "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." John 8:58 "Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." He is the great I AM of Exodus 3:14

Irene, Redeemed, Brian, and everyone else to whom it may apply; "..in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction." "A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition (warning) reject; knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sins, being condemned of himself."
  • Brian on Matthew 28 - 6 years ago
The "Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are merely TITLES for JESUS CHRIST. The COMMAND is to baptize in the NAME of the Father Son and Holy Ghost and that NAME is JESUS CHRIST. There is ONE GOD who manifests Himself as the Father, Son and Holy Ghost and His NAME is JESUS CHRIST. Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, and his name shall be called...The mighty God, The everlasting Father."
  • Redeemed on Matthew 28 - 6 years ago
Question? When the Lord commands the disciples to baptize in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost why do the disciples command people to be baptized in the name of Jesus? Could the answer be found in Isaiah 9:6? The subject of the verse the Son his name shall be called everlasting Father
