  • Jim B on Matthew 25:40 - 9 years ago
I think that these word represent a challenge to all of us that being that through our behavior and gifts to others, we reach a state of being more of the person that Christ would ideally have us become. It means that "what we do, and how we treat our fellow man " really means something and important and not to be taken for granted. It is behaving as our Father would have us behave.
  • Ryan Schwartz on Matthew 25 - 9 years ago
    Powerful.
  • Glynett on Matthew 25 - 9 years ago
Mathew twenty five gives me the revelation that the oil represent the anointing on our lives, and don 't let that be taken from us. The anointing represent our father that lives within us. Jesus himself crucified.
  • Arthur H on Matthew 25:4 - 9 years ago
The oil of Matt. 25 is none other than Jesus Christ himself! He is the oil He is the Word of God. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John More specifically, Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105 If the Word is our lamp, the oil is found therein-the words of the gospel!
  • Mai Phyu Phyu Win on Matthew 25:46 - 9 years ago

  • Sandy on Matthew 25 - 9 years ago
This whole chapter tells me that We better be ready because when Jesus returns he is NOT going to wait around for people to get ready!
  • Janine Hicks on Matthew 25 - 9 years ago
To me this parable 's main point is that the church will have those who keep their first love burning and those who are going thru the motions. The tares will grow along side the wheat right up unto the time of His returning. Without the extra vessel of oil our lamps will burn out. Can 't depend on yesterday 's anointing to get you thru tomorrow 's testing. He lights the fire but it 's up to us to keep it burning.
  • David on Matthew 25:30 - 9 years ago
I think that because he was called a servant he would be consider a son just as the prodigal son was alway a son once born a son always a son although Jesus said in the judgement many will profess to be sons and He will tell them depart from me ye that work iniquity for I never knew you the key being I never knew you Paul also explained many times that we can not work to earn our salvation it is a free gift but the Holy Spirit purges us daily and began a work in us and will complete if we are truly sons
  • Q. Williams on Matthew 25 - 9 years ago
I feel that the 10 Virgins represent the Church today! the virgins were all pure clean prepared for their bridegroom! Hung up on preparation and forgot their ingredients oil . The oil represents the anointing! The church is so "busy " in preparation, that they are forgetting the most important thing... the Holy Spirit...the Anointing that transforms us and prepares us to overcome the enemy, because of the power and the Authority the Anointing gives us! The Churches fire is burning out slowly!!! Don 't be left in the dark, without His anointing when the trumpet sounds!!!
  • Maurice Poole on Matthew 25:40 - 9 years ago
I had just sent a text to my daughter, using this verse thanking her for dinner for me and my foster son, inferring the good deed she did for Jesus!
  • BERNARD DENTEH on Matthew 25 - 9 years ago
THIS MEANS WE SHOULD WORKTOWARD WHAT WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN
  • Nika on Matthew 25:3 - 9 years ago
the ten virgins five were ready with the lamps word and oil to represent the holy spirit five foolish ones brought the word but did not keep the fire burning meaning the holy spirit they were more hearers but not doers.
  • Richard on Matthew 25:40 - 9 years ago
Christ revealed that in perfection there is no division, either between human beings or God for when division is claimed it always leads to tribalism and fragmentation which in turn leads to conflict.
  • Ken on Matthew 25:30 - 9 years ago
I wish it was true but too inforation counters that. 1 is that 1 of the stories about the useless servant I have to find it again show u goes on to say how he didn 't make use of his master 's money but just sat on it. Jesus goes on to explain that he was CONSIDERED AMONG THE UNBELIEVERS which means he would get a similar fate as those who disbelieve in him. 2 is the Bible states that faith without works is dead. So if you believe Jesus ' message, but don 't take any action, the message did you no good. If someone told you your house was on fire and say it was , and you believed him, but did nothing about it, then the message did you no good. You still died because like the bad servant, you took no action. 3 the guards are ordered to bind his hands feet. This is what ki gs did to someone they perceived as the enemy. Someone getting demoted would not be tied up. Furthermore the fact that they are thrown into the darkness means they are removed from the kingdom entirely because God 's kingdom is constantly filled with light. I would say its not a good situation to be caught fooling around when he comes.
  • Eaglesrock on Matthew 25 - 9 years ago
25 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came and "they that were ready " went in with him to the marriage and the door was shut. "They that were ready " Ready or Not Jesus is coming soon. 5 were ready and 5 were not. I believe this is a picture of the church when Jesus comes back for us in the rapture, that only half of those who say they are Christians will be rapture. He is coming for a church that is hot not lukewarm.
  • Olabode on Matthew 25:23 - 9 years ago
It is an illustration Jesus gave to us that if we can follow His steps that is have faith in him, obey him, keep his commandments, serve him with the whole of our hearts, worship him only, wining souls for him, fear him, study his word, waiting for his second appearance, etc he promised us that he will make us ruler over many things.
  • MockingBird on Matthew 25:23 - 9 years ago
there is coming a day when I will stand before God Almighty and give an account of everything I ever die in this life. It is my prayer that He will be able to say Well done thou good and faithful servant. I want to walk so as to please my Lord !!!!
  • Christy victor on Matthew 25:15 - 9 years ago

  • M on Matthew 25 - 9 years ago
I love this chapter, it let me know that we have to stay busy doing as GOD will have us to do at all times, just as JESUS said that HE have to be about HIS FATHER 'S business, so do we.
  • Nkosinathi Ngulube on Matthew 25:16 - 9 years ago
He converted more to the Kingdom of Christ, in other words he was fruitful and more pleasing to God
  • Nkosinathi Ngulube on Matthew 25:10 - 9 years ago
Nota bena The marriage feast is for the raptured ones, the good servants who persevere. Not all who call unto God are allowed in , however all are invited.
  • Nkosinathi Thomas on Matthew 25:1 - 9 years ago
Virgins here being the pureness of Christians. This parable is reminiscent of Matthew 24 41.Not all christians go to Heaven but the ones who have washed their robes in the Blood of the Lamb and made them white . Wisdom is needed.
  • Simson Heita on Matthew 25:13 - 9 years ago

yah its true we have to be ready ror we have been granted the time to repent just as was done to the children of Israel Exodus 19 1 15
  • Madai on Matthew 25:4 - 10 years ago
It is a wake up call for the church. They must stay still and keep the anointing with the holy spirit just as the 5 wise in order to overcome in the great tribulation because Jesus is already on His way. He will arrive as a Theft.
