I had a church tell me I was going to hell.

I told them busting peoples doors open early Saturday mornings for to evangelize, was not kind. I told them they would harden their hearts against God. They would "pray" anything to get us to leave. I had to stop going.

Next church believed all single people should be married ASAP. They did their own matchmaking.

You need to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to the Pastor He wants to be your shepherd. He actually said turn here, go up 4 streets, turn left...I walked through the doors and Holy Spirit said there's your shepherd. I learned a lot there.

Pray. The Lord will find you the best, no matter how far you have to drive. :D

Dear Jesus make this easy for her and may her faith increase in your Goodness and Truth.

On this Scripture could it be referring to lawlessness in the Churches in opening their doors to the Church telling the congregation that it is a sin not to gather and not practicing social distance and not wearing a mask . Opening up the nursery handling the children without concern for there health and going as far as to go to Summer Camp and the children mocking others hugging on each other while with a mask on. Posting a preacher rebuking christian people for not opening there doors telling us that we should not wear a mask and not social distance because the first Church in the Book of Acts did not do this. I see this Scripture for this time as they are saying here He is follow us and if you don't you are in sin.

You need to go on YouTube and watch some spiritual warfare videos. I like Derek Prince.

Go to the entry of this website, in the red section to Community and select the "become a Christian " link. Go through that so you may be born again.

You can't be saved and practice witchcraft. So you need to understand how serious this is. Demons are invisible. Ephesians 6

They don't like to let go.

Clean your house, top to bottom of anything that would open a door to demons. It must be destroyed first. Acts 19:19.

When Derek prays, you pray too.

Jesus, in your Mercy and Kindness please answer this prayer for recovery and a double portion of healing For this mothers child. We give you all the praise and Glory for this miracle and humbly thank you.

In Jesus most excellent Name: Name above all others.

I agree with you that the Doctor will give you a good report. You will live and declare the glory of God. May He give you strength and WISDOM to be a leader lady in the house. Amen Hallelujah!

You have covenant with your husband, so you two must pull this load together and make joint decisions.

Your daughter must take over half of the duties of the house. Her husband should do half of the outside work and cars.

Dinners need to start with one small Psalm from the Bible. It's not offensive. Kids need to respect your belief.

I heard that grocery stores really need personal shoppers and curbside or delivery for shut-in people. Maybe your brother In law wouldn't mind that, until jobs start coming back? Doing something helps when you're waiting:)

Your bedroom needs to be off limits so you can go in there and read one chapter of your Bible and say a prayer.

Just have a family meeting with ice cream and announce work division so there will be peace in the home. You need to take care of yourself so you can manage this.

Allow Jesus to carry some of the spiritual burden for you: cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you. Give Him the abortion pill burden for sure.

You can tell her I said that God told me He's Pro-Choice. CHOOSE life so that you and your children may Live. (I told him that's not really what you say nowadays...but He didn't say skip it). Book of Deuteronomy.

Jesus loves you and is at the right Hand of God, making intercession for all of us. Thank Him for helping you.

What is the difference between soul and spirit? Sometimes it seems as though the two are treated as the same thing, and yet other passages list body, spirit and soul as three separate things. I'm confused.
  • Jesse - In Reply on Matthew 24:9 - 3 years ago
    John,

That is a great analogy on that parable. Very well said. It is indeed a difficult thing for a man who values his earthly riches to give it all up to follow Christ. Thank you for sharing that!
  • John L. - In Reply on Matthew 24:9 - 3 years ago
Dennis A. Coley- Eye of the Needle

In re-reading Luke 18:1-30 it seems that the rich man was not rich due to "ill gotten gains" as I previously stated, but rather that he had put those riches ahead or cared about those things more than he cared about his relationship with God, and thus breaking Commandments 1 and 2, which are among those not mentioned in Luke 18:20, and is the "lackest thou one thing" ( Luke 18:22) that Jesus was referring to. Either way he was missing something pretty big.
  • John L - In Reply on Matthew 24:9 - 3 years ago
Dennis A. Coley- Eye of the Needle of Matthew 19:24

In ancient times, (and up to only a few hundred years ago) would be a needle gate on the side of the main gate of a city.

The reason for this is mainly night time travel.

Main gate closed at night for obvious protection, which would make sense.

The traveler would have to unload the camel to fit through the gate. A way for the guard to check the person's belongings, again, which would make sense.

Because of the building and rebuilding of Jerusalem and the area, it is difficult to know whether these gates were used at the time of Jesus or before that, but I don't see why not.

I believe that the lesson of the parable has to do with ill-gotten gains; as a "rich man" that has become rich due to sin and must unload his sins and get right with Christ before he can fit through the little gate. If he was rich because of blessings there is no sin.

    Matthew 7:13-14

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

Alone we can accomplish nothing good. With Christ, anything is possible!

Lord Jesus send in your warring angels to hold back the evil so he can give His Life to Jesus, and take Jesus's Life unto himself. Force every demon to leave so he may read Jesus's offer of salvation and Deliverance and life eternal with You. Amen!

Ow! Sounds like me. I pray that according to the mercy and grace of God that pain would leave Now in Jesus Name! Go now into dry places. I ask you Lord to release your healing power into this finger.

In faith I bind the spirit of infection from entering and command it to leave!

Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
  • Jesse - In Reply on Matthew 24:9 - 3 years ago
    Dennis,

Are you alluding to Matthew 19:24 where Jesus says "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God?" I have heard of people mentioning such a gate and saying that this was the gate Jesus was referring to in Matthew 19:24.

This was a common proverb in Jesus' day. It originated in Palestine. And it originated with not a camel, but an elephant, that it is easier for an elephant to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into heaven. By the time it gets to Jerusalem it changed to a camel, and it expresses impossibility.

Some people have said over the years, and I used to believe this also, that the eye of a needle is the gate into the city of Jerusalem. And in the evening time when the large gates close, they keep this little tiny gate open, and it is called the eye of the needle. So that if you bring your camel in, you got to unload him and everything, and you got to push him through, and stuff him through this little hole if you want to get in.

Well, the problem was that as I did some historical research on this, and those gates did not exist at the time of Jesus, not for another 60 years after. So that is not what it is implying here. In fact, Matthew's word is actually a sewing needle. Luke, in his account, used a physician's needle. And you can imagine why with Luke being a physician.

And that is literally what it means. The proverb is meant to express impossibility. If this is not what you are referring to, please disregard.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 - Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

2 Timothy 3:5 - Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Deuteronomy 7:3-4 - Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.

2 Thessalonians 3:6 - Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

Ephesians 5:11 - And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

3 John 1:11 - Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.

1 Corinthians 7:1-40 - Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

Don't think older people in the Lord do not understand the rush of young love.

Myself... I wish someone had told me it's not going to work out so long as the other is unsaved. Take her to church with you. You Pray for her to receive Jesus.

God created sex. He also performed the first marriage. You are not Adam and Eve.

You may have met the wrong woman. And the right one is praying for God to bring you to her.

You may hate me for this: but Satan can tempt us with the wrong choice. It takes huge faith to trust in God in these matters.

You should be praying for God to prepare her to receive salvation. Be meek and accept Gods leading and confirmation.

Immerse the affected eye in a shallow container of sterile (salt)saline solution. Water is also suitable if saline is unavailable. While the eye is in the water, blink several times to flush out the foreign object. If the object remains stuck, gently pull the upper lid away from the eyeball to release it.
  • Mishael - In Reply on Matthew 24:9 - 3 years ago
You need to go see an ophthalmologist and let him get the foreign material out! Make payment arrangements.

Or call the Dept of Health. Maybe they have a low cost clinic.

Do it ASAP. Sometimes Jesus expects us to use doctors that he gave skills to.

Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to assist you.

And then thank Him before you start:

It's probably an eyelash. Put a washrag with 2 ice cubes in it and try to reduce the swelling for about 20 minutes.

Open your eyelid under cool running water under the faucet and let the water run over the eye. Don't rub it. Wait and see if the pain is gone.

You can put a drop of baby oil in the eye to moisturize; but don't rub it. Let the swelling go down more.

Keep your hair clean& away from the eye.

There is so much you can be doing :D

Jesus will surely take notice of your obedience and love for His people:

Bless yourself and find joy in the process.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

    *****

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, YE HAVE DONE IT UNTO ME.

You're like me. So many Relatives and family That have gone to heaven. I don't know if you're in an apartment or house; but there is someone close by who would love a ray of sunshine in their life. I was going by nursing homes to pray with people who are shut in and have no family. I don't know if nursing homes are closed there?

It helped me to just sit and listen to their stories or to just read some happy Psalms to them.

Before my Dad died, I went every day to take him food I had cooked; and I fed him his dinner.

Consider befriending some neighbor that you know is shut in pretty much. They love cookies that we make :D. They're lonely too. I'd start looking forward to it.

Actually you are doing what Jesus asks of us: to visit the sick, the prisoners of their lonely homes, cookies with a note that says

"Come and taste the goodness of the Lord".

Don't be afraid to follow Jesus.

Call your State Attorney Generals office. If you type that into Maps in your phone it should bring up a phone number. This needs to be reported and they will investigate. They do not reveal your name so don't worry.

See if you can do your loved ones laundry yourself. Get a Permanent ink black marker and write the name across the shoulder area. They will not take her clothes anymore.

Ask God if you can have an angel to keep your loved one safe and protect all that Concerns her.

Every time you think about this, stop and give praises to God for Mercy and Grace.

Sure, the Bible defines itself, not my words but GODS words - What is Grace - Titus 2:11, 12 - For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

    12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

It was God's Mercy, that he did not turn His back eternally from Adam and Eve, our fore-parents. They by choice like Satan separated themselves in pride. Yet God promised a way out of death eternal by providing grace to obey His way. His Way provided the Grace of Salvation by true faith and repentance thereby giving new life and hope for all children. Born again (with understanding) children provide grace to find the Way and thereby eternal life in Jesus Christ.

  • UN-MERITED FAVOR OF GOD - In Reply on Matthew 24:9 - 3 years ago
    I believe, Matthew 25:35-40

describes grace ( un-merited favor). Jesus is explaining difference between sheep and goats. Also the parable of the Good Samaritan, comes to mind; for examples.

His ministry to people involved teaching, feeding, healing etc. He sent his disciples out, to do the same.

If you mix practical, with the God kind of faith, you will produce grace and mercy.

I'll write tomorrow. My phone has to be charged.

    Meanwhile read Ephesians 6.

If you have youtube: watch some Charles Capps video's on Authority of the Believer.

Go through your house and remove anything that can be considered an Idol.

( Exodus 20). You can't get rid of Demons if they can come back in because of an idol or something that offends the Holy Spirit of God. Books, magazines, weird art, crystals or talismans. It's all gotta be destroyed in Jesus name.
